I bought an item to give as a gift, that was listed as new. Seller sent in a thin poly bag, a few strips of coloured paper (no actual protection).
I was away for weekend visiting sick relative so couldn't 'report an issue' that Vinted only allows 2-DAYS for buyers to do. I contacted customer service, who were extremely UNHELPFUL! They said because I didn't 'report an issue' within the 2 days, there's nothing they can do about it!
When making a purchase, they add on money for 'Buyer Protection', yet, in reality, you're paying them extra money for nothing!
I told them that The Consumer Rights Act 2015 states if goods arrive faulty, damaged, not fit for purpose, etc, the buyer has rights and the statutory period, by law, is 30 days, not 2-DAYS that they give! Yet they still refuse to do what they are legally obliged to do!
I will be deleting their App and will never use them again. I've also reported them to Trading Standards

Tip for consumers:
For the so-called customer service to properly read my complaint and not keep fobbing me off with the same copied/pasted answer, plus Vinted only allowing 2-DAYS for a buyer to say about a problem is unrealistic. I told seller & Vinted I went away on Friday, (visiting sick relative) I came back on the Monday and saw the parcel, but can’t claim a refund because of their 2-DAY time limit. They are breaking the law, as statutory rights give 30-days. Company policies do not matter when goods arriver

Not received any confirmation or correspondence about my order - (but they've taken the money!) Also when ordering it stated "next day delivery", yet when I checked the site two days later, they hadn't despatched the order until that day! When order didn't arrive the following day, I contacted them via their 'contact us' page on their website - not heard anything from them! How unprofessional, rude & just goes to show how little they value their customers. I am still waiting, a week later for my order - which hasn't arrived, but I cannot get a reply from the company. I am going to report them to Trading Standards and Financial Ombudsman. This company is useless and terrible - DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
