Airbnb should be a last resort option. I have only used them when I can't find a hotel availability and have almost always been disappointed. Most guests seem reluctant to post honest reviews for fear of offending the host and Airbnb does not actually inspect the properties to determine the accuracy of the hosts descriptions so its a crap shoot. Over the years the fees have also escalated in price with insanely high cleaning fees and Airbnb "service" charges which can be several hundreds of dollars. Their customer service and website platform are also horrible. They have shed many of their customer service reps so its pretty much all web based, another reason for opting for a hotel.

I have noticed over the years that trip advisor seldom posts negative reviews. I have tried to post several three star reviews and they have been taken down or not been posted despite them being objective. My only conclusion is that there is a conflict of interest somewhere in their business model.

Ryan, are you aware that you have a very flawed business model? Why do you make your shoes so difficult for customers and vendors to obtain? I have travelled the country, visited many tennis sports retailers and they all lament about not being able to obtain New Balance tennis shoes. I live in Boston and can not walk into a New Balance retailer and find the full product line of your tennis shoes (Newbury st., Brighton). I wanted to try your new Coco tennis shoes to check the fit, etc—its not possible, none of your stores carry them. Why do you create so many obstacles to buy your product (and don't give me the line about buying online, when it comes to shoes customers want to them on in a store)? It is no wonder Nike has the biggest market share. Your sales associates are also poorly trained and your website offers no portal for customer suggestions. Poorly run company, even poorer is the sales and marketing department you head. I guess the Kellogg school isn't what it used to be.

Their online platform for generating quotes is very buggy so I forwarded the specifics of my shipment directly to their email. Here is the response:

"Please try to book the delivery request either on a different web browser or a different device.
Should the issue persists, kindly send us a screenshot of the error you're encountering so we can assist you further".

How asinine a reply. Even though they have all of the information to input they rather go back and forth with emails and screenshots instead of simply taking care of this themselves. Tells you everything you need to know about the company...sad.

I needed a replacement pneumatic cylinder for a Steelcase office chair which was sinking. I provided the service person with a picture of the tag showing make, model, SN of the chair to identify the correct part. After the part arrived and I installed it, the chair still was sinking. I contacted Red Thread with the issue and they suggested having a technician come out to look at the problem for which I was charged $153.00 for a service call. The technician determined that the problem was that the replacement pneumatic cylinder Red Thread had sent me was faulty. I requested that either the fee for the service call be refunded (since it would have been unnecessary to have a technician come out had the correct part been supplied in the first place) or the cost of the defective cylinder they had supplied be refunded. They ignored all of my emails.

Caught this site falsely claiming that a Prada sweater they were selling was made in Italy only to discover that it was made in Indonesia! This site is very shady! Beware.
