AS AN Experienced HOST... I would stay FAR FAR away from this platform. I almost lost my job because a GETAROUND made a mistake and either forgot or made an error with a ride cancellation I requested (you have to call to cancel- ridiculous). The driver came and found my car at my workplace and caused havoc when they found out the car was not available. Way too much liability -- someone can find and pick up your car within 15 minutes of booking, any time of day of night? What happens if it gets damaged with no photo evidence prior to the trip? GOOD LUCK
Tip for consumers:
For guests and drivers, I think the app is very convenient and easy to use (when executed properly). I would just advise only large fleet owners with mid to low end vehicles to only consider this application. This is not an app for those who use their vehicle part time, those with higher end vehicles, or those who plan to use this passively in any capacity
Products used:
This is the getaround app and service for car sharing. I have used this in the Chicago are for approximately 2 weeks before having a terrible experience listing my tesla model 3 and model X. If you have a large fleet and little concern with the condition of your vehicle before and after rides, I think you might be okay. But high liability in my opinion.
