We purchased their product for our 1152 square feet family shop a little over a year ago. My husband and my 3 sons and their friends use the shop to service personal vehicles, our tractor, and to work on project cars. We've had several car engines removed and replaced using a steel wheel engine hoist, we've had hot steel splatter from an acetylene torch, and we've had several different chemicals spilled on it and we've had no failures in the product. We followed the prep instructions carefully because there were several oil spills to remove prior to application. We are building a new house and we will definitely put this product on our garage floor.
Primer coat just barely covered square footage extremely light really had to stretch. Color coat did not cover had to order more product. Product that gets hit by the Sun turns yellow within a couple of months. Company not willing to do anything about this nowhere in the product description does it say it is not UV protected. Messaging with them, they ask for photos, sent photos, reply as well it's not UV safe LOL a little late on that information.
I ordered the vertical wall epoxy in dark grey to use for an exterior application. The order arrived within a week and with application instructions. I applied it to my wall and am very happy with the results.

I'm a handyman and I use Armor Garage epoxy floors regularly. The instructions are clear and the results are great! I'll be using them for every garage floor I install.
Ordering was easy. Shipped promptly and arrived quickly. The delivery company was also excellent.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you clean the floor really well if there are oil spills. We actually went over the bad ones about 3 times before we felt they were clean enough the product would adhere.
Products used:
All the product we ordered was used. Their customer service was excellent. I called for advice two or three times and they were very helpful. They really stressed getting all of the oil up.
We own a small handyman business and have been purchasing from Armorgarage for many years, probably 50+ orders. Their products are absolutely superb and their customer service is excellent. If you follow their instructions you won't have a problem. Some of the other complaints noted here seem to be from people who didn't prep properly, or had other conditions with their surfaces that caused problems. No coating is a fix-all for problematic floors.
We also find that the amount they give for the square footage is always more than is needed, or less, so anyone that ran short had a porous or irregular floor, or applied it incorrectly.
This was promoted as a lifetime product. After the first year it was already peeling. I sent 4 emails, called multiple times to complain and was consistently told to send pictures. I sent them each time with no reply. Now, it is year 3, and big strips of the pain is peeling off. I spent close to $1000 for the paint and had to find a special person to put it on, it was a nightmare. I would have gotten more bang for my buck with the regular deck paint.
Do not buy.
I spent alot of money to paint my 2 car garage floor. I followed instructions exactly how they wanted. Topcoat started to peel a year later now my garage looks so bad. I should have left it bare concrete. Good luck if you buy it, don't say you wasn't warned. So frustrating I spent all that money for it to peel up. I will be more than happy to provide more info and Pic if needed.
I bought my brand new car there and every time, EVERY TIME, doesn't matter if it's a tire rotation and oil change or a car inspection or getting snow tires on or anything else, I am here for HOURS. It shouldn't be like this. Will never buy another car from them again. They think I have hours to sit around while they take their time doing something so simple as swapping out tires. I make an appointment for everything and yet 4 hours later I am still here. They give zero care that you sit there for hours. Will buy from another place next time I need a car. Absolutely ridiculous!
I have to agree with all the other reviews regarding the help I received from the person that called me back.
Adam was very knowledgeable and and answered all my questions.
If I can find a competent local person to do the job, I will buy from this company.
My husband is a huge DIY enthusiast and he completed our garage floor as a summer project with our daughters. Thanks to Armor Garage and their durable epoxy floors, their summer project has not just given us memories but a sturdy floor.
Great epoxy but the sealer sucks when it's wet. I can't tell you how many times we've fallen on it in the last 8 months. From my wife, to my 3 year old to myself. We spent $1500 for the kit and non slip coating, first time it got wet we were ice skating so they told me I needed a different non-slip sealer, another $200 + later put that down and it's no better than the first sealer, contacted Armor Garage and now they are telling me if i buy a third type of non-slip coating for another $560 it "should" be non-slip. Sorry guys but i thought you would have stepped up to the plate to make it right since the first 2 times i did what you recommended and it didn't fix the problem. Good for you for getting my money but seeing how I've worked in auto shops for the last 20 plus years and continue to do so I'll be sure to pass the word along on just how happy i am!
This is the best i have for proof or purchase:
Joe, looking back at your original order it seems you did approx 850 s/f. For that square footage you'll need
2 gallons of Top Coat and 2 Qt's of the Aluminum Oxide. Retail is $235.00 per gal (top coat) and $45.00 each
Per qt of (non slip) $560.00. That said, I will discount it for you to $460.00 delivered.

Joe sorry you're having issues with your floor. It appears that you have non typical floor conditions in your garage. We have never had a situation where the commercial grade nonslip has not provided sufficient traction. The second time you did your floor we provided the commercial grade nonslip versus the residential grade nonslip applied the first time. All our epoxy orders get shipped with nonslip additive because all epoxy floors are slippery without it. The only last solution other than a full broadcast sand floor is to go with our Industrial grade nonslip additive. Let me be clear a full broadcast sand floor is only used for Firehouses or public pool areas and the industrial nonslip is used only in commercial kitchens where there is always lots of oil and grease on the floor. We have never had to do either for a residential garage. The vast majority of our industrial customers don't even use the industrial nonslip other than in special conditions that require it because it is very abrasive and makes the floor hard to clean. It will either have to be scrubbed with a pool brush or power washed. It sounds like you have ice and excessive snow on your garage floor and it may require mats or something similar to provide the proper traction you need in your particular situation. If you would give me a call in the office I would like to work out an amical solution for the both of us.
Thanks
Bought several thousands dollars of armorgarage deck product and now less than 2 years old it is bubbling, blistering and peeling off! Hired others to assist in preparation of decks and even with power washings, deck stripper applications and even areas of sanding, after two years product is failing miserably! Save yourself a great deal of grief and lost money, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
I purchased 600 Square Feet of their Ultra Military Grade Epoxy Floor. They did not send me enough Epoxy. It became apparent while applying and trying to spread the product with their " Calibrated Notched Squeegee". I then was forced to spread it out with a roller which turned out to be a disaster. When I contacted them here is their response.
"The topcoat/epoxy was applied a little to thick and therefore the puddles and was rolled after it began to set and therefore the roller fibers were pulled out by the epoxy.
This is not a product issue."
Not sure how they could conclude that with the 3 horrible pictures I send them. Not very much effort from support when I paid $1500 for the product. Over the phone they also claimed I must have mixed it too long, it takes 10 mins to apply the batch, they claim it takes 40 mins to start to set. I doubt I mistakenly mixed it for 30 mins instead of 2-3 mins. They're solution to your problem is to blame you and say its not a product issue.
They state in the instructions that 3 gallons of mixed epoxy covers 524-550 sq/ft.
Well I ordered 600 sq/ft. And even an extra quart wouldn't have covered my floor. I would have needed over double what they sent me.
Also they forgot to send my the etching solution, and TSP, which I had to go purchase myself.
Horrible product, Horrible customer support, Horrible company, Steer clear of them.
Came in 2 shipments. Called when first one arrived and was worried the other would be late arrival. Called on phone and guy who answered was great and rushed my order out that day even tho they were swamped with orders he said. Thanks a lot. Jason Dennis
The product and install data on the website was second to none. They offer more instructions and help for the DIY installer than any other site I saw. The garage epoxy product is also of great quality. If you don't mind doing the prep work involved, anyone can make there floor look fantastic.
When I first decided to coat my floor, I had questions and your site provided way more advice, guidance, and honest "truths" about what to expect and what you must do to ensure a positive outcome then I imagined.
I have compared the big box store cheaper coatings and your site helped me understand that if I am committed to spending money to coat my floor, why waste time and money on a product that will fail in a few years. As the saying goes "do it right the first time"...
This stuff is expensive but works as advertised.
The fact that I had to submit custom chip colors by typing it in the comments should be more clear. I had to call to verify that.
The product took 2 weeks to arrive. I called to ask where the rest was and was told to open the 5 gallon bucket bc sometimes there are supplies packed in the bucket. This was completely wrong information and the rest of it was on it's way and arrived 4 days later. The second shipment contained the wrong chip colors so I called and they sent me the right ones immediately but still a hassle.
Employee Jim answered the questions I had.
Because it is winter and the temperature being below the 55 - 95 recommended degrees, l have decided to wait until spring to paint our new garage floor.
My ordering experience with Jim and Armor Garage was A+.
I haven't used the product yet, if it works as well as they say it does then it should be good. Ground the floor with a concrete grinder. Next I am using the etching solution. Let that sit for a couple of days then prime, paint and then seal.
Clear information easy to navigate and make purchase. Even during the COVID-19 crisis someone answered the phone and got my shipment out the door. It was delivered 2 days after I called to check the status because of the COVID-19 crisis. I am impressed with the company and their product. In this case you get what you pay for. Thanks I will be ordering more, as I have a large roof!
Love the web site and all the detailed info. The only problem I had was confirming my color choice. I left a note at checkout but I'm gonna call and confirm my color choices are correct. I received my order on time in two different deliveries. I added a product to my order the day after I made my online order and that product is missing. Hopefully that's still in route and I'll have in another day.
I did try to place the order by phone but had to leave a message. When the call back came I answered by no one spoke to me. I placed the order online.
I got a confirmation the order was received by email but no shipping confirmation or tracking information. I call and this time got a helpful person who provided a arrival day which was correct.
The ordered arrived and is on but I will point out that the two cans of top coat were seriously banged up and dented. I am surprised that they did not leak. I think you need to address that.
The product will be used this week and after that I would be willing to rate the product
Last summer I purchased material from Armor Garage to refinish my treated outdoor deck. This material is quite expensive (approx. $70/gal). I paid over $650 including the material, stripper and and related rollers etc. to get the correctly applied finish. I stripped the old finish with a high pressure washer and additional stripper that I purchased locally. The hi-$ stripper that I purchased from A-G was ineffectual. After I had the wood completely bare and dry I applied the finish per instructions. All looked good right after the work was completed. AT Last! I had a deck finish that was GUARANTEED for LIFE of the deck! At 79 years of age, it should outlast me! Well, I made it through the winter, but the finish was flaking of by spring! After showing both before and after picks to A-G, they offered to replace the entire amount of finish with more of the same and suggested that I scrape and sand of the flaking finish! NO THANKS! More hard work for nothing. Now I'm left with an expensive crappy looking deck that will have to be stripped and refinished yet again.
BUYER BEWARE! The LIFETIME WARRANTY means only material replacement, NOTHING MORE!

Melissa, I think you have us confused with your service repair shop. We are ArmorGarage and sell garage floor epoxy, we do not do any auto repair work. Please remove our name from this review and direct it
Toward the proper entity, ie: your auto repair shop. Thanks!
