Sitejabber is the leading destination for customer ratings and reviews of businesses. Consumers find ratings and read reviews to ensure they buy from the best companies. Consumers can also get answers to questions from other customers and the business itself. After a purchase, consumers can leave their own feedback and get help resolving any issues that might arise.

Founded in 2007 in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sitejabber was created to help consumers get better information about companies before they make purchases. Financed by investors such as 500 Startups and The Seraph Group, Sitejabber was also awarded a series of Innovation Research Grants from the National Science Foundation, which allowed the company to develop its technology platform.

Services for Consumer Affairs Reporters

Our National Science Foundation grant has enabled us to offer members of the press free access and analysis to our anonymized database or consumer trends, reviews and complaints. Services include:

  • Story ideas: We can provide story ideas based on recent consumer review/complaint/scam data. Example: Pet Medication Scams on the Rise [MarketWatch]
  • Data and analysis: If you're working on a story and need additional data, our team can provide it. For example, if your story is on the rise of tax scams, we can tell you how quickly tax scam reports have risen in the last 12 months or 5 years.
  • Consumers for interviews and quotes: If you're working on a story and need a consumer to be interviewed or quoted, we can connect you with Sitejabber members with relevant experience. For example, if you're writing a story on issues with buying wedding dresses online, we can connect you with brides who have written reviews.
  • Quotes and qualitative analysis from our CEO and executive team.
