The website is an absolute scam artists dream site where they rip off everyone coming through and tie you up in court and legal fees till it's not worth pursuing.
Keep well clear and stick with legitimate and customer biased sites before you lose your money with these con artists.

For brick and mortar retail stores the good old days are no more. Before the internet age, store owners and managers were able to train the staff and run their stores with an almost exclusive focus on one thing, making the sale. In the past for retailers, unless they were a luxury brand that was charging a premium price, excellent customer service was often a secondary consideration. This was made possible because, for the most part, retailers held all the cards.

My friend who is a UK citizen and passport holder was treated terribly by a guy called Paul at bidspotter simply because he is muslim.
Bidding was all going fine until they rang and heard his name then the excuses started as to why they couldn't accept his bid.
They made up lies and stories and hung up the phone when challenged

Avoid this company.

This is the BIGGEST RIP OFF of people I have ever seen... When the auction is run they call it a "timed auction". What it means is that if you "snipe" at the last minute per se they reset the clock from anywhere from 5-10 minutes to the previous high bidder to bid again, which means every time the other guy bids or you bid the clock is reset. Thus causing a "bidding war" where the only one winning is the auctioneer because he gets 18% of the final bid which is more money in his pocket. As far as I can concerned this is cheating at its worst.

Even though they advertise that items came from the failed Roxodus Music Festival don't expect that is where much of it came from. I purchased a notebook which I assumed would have been recent by the look of the pictures and advertising. After winning the bid I find out that model of notebook came out in 2006 with 2 GB of ram, Windows XP upgraded to Windows 7 (also not supported any longer). Regardless you can't upgrade or even use something that old in 2019. Even as an antique, I doubt it would be salable at any auction today. I saw many other old items with dust and wear at that site which just reaffirmed to me that I shouldn't have been bidding. Buyer beware!

I have bought many items online over years and not new on bidding online. Last month i bis on one item and when i checked my account there were another 4 items wittha total of £160 were added to my account. I called the auction first and advised that i did not bid on these items and they advised to contact Bidspotter and had to poay fro them. Since I have spent hours and hours trying to resolve this matter but all i get from Bidspotter is that i must have bid on these items. I have asked for thier complaint process and thier governing body who control bid spotter but they have not once answered my question. I have not stuck with £150 worth of stuff that i dont need and never bid on it but can not do anything about it.

Not to say that people haven't had problems, but it's worked out well for me. I've purchased a lot of items from this site.

Misleading terms, high fees, and poor customers service await those who bid at this auction site. I do not recommend.
