I have tried Jenny Craig and just about every other frozen meal plan and they all work as you are forced to count calories. What happens is I get bored of the food. A doc friend of mine told me about bistromd and they do have delicious meals that help anyone lose weight :)
The food is mediocre, comes already opened because of poor seals or even crushed because of bad packaging, customer support is bad, they mix up customers orders/menus, pre-ship and pre-charge to get ahead of cancellations, have no pause shipments option(like if you're on vacation) and delay processing or acknowledging cancellations to get an extra shipment before you switch to any of the many cheaper options. The food is also stunning bland except for salt. Frozen meals from the grocery store are cheaper and healthier.

Tip for consumers:
Choose a different meal option, there's plenty of others available & they can't be worse

All that were edible since its perishable food
Ordered their keto flex program - every single meal they sent had at least 40 g of carbs…I reached out to CS and their response was basically "too bad". I tried to salvage what I could from the meals, but the food is simply inedible. The meats were tough and stringy, good luck actually chewing that, and the veggies were soggy and bland. There was a pizza that looked awful and a suspiciously looking mystery meatloaf. In the end, $100 in the thrash. Awful company who doesn't stand behind their crappy product. If these meals are "chef-made", I weep for the future of the food industry.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away, unless you love to donate your hard earned money to dishonest services

None, all went into trash
Bistro MD is one of the more expensive meal delivery programs, so you might expect they would match their product and service to their price point in the marketplace. Wrong! They have the worst possible service process. The people on the phone are nice, but completely helpless. I ordered my first box on 8/8 and it was finally delivered on 8/18. What is supposed to be frozen food packed in dry ice was nothing short of a hot mess. The entire box had to be thrown out. I have called only to be on hold for 20+ minutes. I was promised a replacement box and subsequent orders to be on schedule. Today is 8/23, still nothing and my credit card has been charged nearly $300.

I was a customer of Bistro MD and successfully lost weight. The food is great and the service is awesome. However in the last two weeks the company has disappeared-nobody answers their phone, on hold for many minutes. Emails are not returned or responded to. The website if broken and I can't cancel my account. Have to cancel my credit card payments due to their non-responsiveness. They have ghosted me and others for a couple weeks. Unless they reappear do not sign up now.
They were awful. I went on to cancel 3 consecutive weeks since I knew I would be out of town and they said I only clicked 2. I should've taken a screen-shot and advise all of you to do so if you already have an account with them. When I called, the guy on the phone said, I checked and you only did 2 weeks off, not 3. I explained how I was positive I did 3 since I'm not at home this week. He didn't say anything else. Just repeated the same nonsense back to me. Also, if you live in a big city, their delivery process for me was awful. I offered to meet the delivery at a depot or come get it from the guy when he was downstairs of my apartment and instead they just threw it haphazardly in my apt. Lobby. Highly disappointed with the customer service from this company and am embarrassed I feel for their fake friendly website. BUYER BEWARE!
I am a single senior woman looking for healthy food I don't have to prepare. I am also tired of having to buy larger quantities of product than I need in order to make my meal. Bistro MD is perfect. I ordered 5 meals, breakfast and dinner. The very first thing I noticed when I served up my very first Bistro MD meal was the size of it's portions. The turkey in that meal was real and the slices were thick. That first meal filled me up for hours, and each of the next ones did too. I believe most of Bistro MD meals are as good as you would get in a restaurant at two to three times the cost. My only objection, and it's a big one, is that the packaging is awful to get rid of. There is the heavy grade cardboard box, the dry ice, and various unidentifiable materials. I don't think anything can be done to change the packaging because the dry ice is how the meals come fully frozen. Overall, this is a great meal program.
Food is ok. Guys beware! I ended up being charged $278 with obligation to eat 2 weeks of food I didn't like in the first place! You can't dispute this with a bank as they point you to terms and conditions (that you suppose to read when you buy food). When you make a purchase it's actually a subscription and you will be charged unless you cancel.
I build apps for living and companies like BistroMD that try so hard to make a purchase decision for the customer would inevitably go away unless they shift the attitude.
I cancelled my plan, and I got a confirmation email, but they sent me another box more than one week later. When I called customer service, they said that their mistake was my fault and that they would not give me a refund. I instructed them to take my card off file, but I am still getting emails about my "menu." I lost $180, and there's nothing I can do about it.
You're welcome for the donation, BistoMD!
Tip for consumers:
Do not use.
Customer service is horrible. I put in my meals and they they sent the wrong order, I ended up getting food that I didn't want or order. They wouldn't work with me at all to reship the meals that I ordered. Wouldn't allow me to return the food that I didn't order. They offered me a 25% refund for the inconvenience... This is the second time I've had issues with the customer service and receiving meals that I did not order. When you pay $200 for a meal service, you'd think they'd work with you when they mess up on their side.
The food tastes ok, But appear to be made with some quality ingredients. I would probably still use the service if I didn't feel customer service is so apathetic.
The meal delivery started arriving later and later. Of course bistro md doesn't take responsibility for late shipping but blame it on the shipper fedex. My gf uses Jenny Craig and fedex manages to get her deliveries here every week on the same days of the week.
My last delivery had 12 items subbed out of 20. Some of the meals were duplicated I wasn't happy because there is now time involved sorting and assigning meals. Time used that the service is supposed to free up. Not to mention, their own websites says you should eat meals in order as the menu to ensure proper nutrition. It is hard to follow a menu that is wrong.
Customer service is good at excuses and terrible at listening. It is also interesting to note that any review posted on their site has to be approved and uploaded by their own employees...
I was impressed with the ad for Bistro Md. The food looked great in the pictures, and it was backed by dietitians and you could lose weight. I was excited. The ordering process was easy. No problem with that. I received my meals, it was nicely packed. Received it on Friday and started on Monday. The breakfast meal, lunch and dinner was horribly tasting. The texture was weird, like a thickener was added. I felt the same of the ones I tried. I could finish not one of the meals, I threw out the rest. Oh! I forgot to mention that I was billed a couple of days after my first for the second delivery. I cancelled. No issue with that. Seems like the meals are prepared with meat fillers, artificial eggs and thickener. I really had high Hope for this meal delivery, needless to say, I was quite disappointed

Always read reviews before buying products.
Super gross. Don't do it. I tried the first entree which was a Mac and cheese and it was disgusting. The second entree I tried was the beef stroganoff and the broccoli was mushy and the meat tasteless so I only ate the pasta. Maybe people lose weight on it because they don't eat everything! And now I'm stuck with a lot more entrees in my freezer which I'm sure are also sub-par.
This is an honest and sincere review. I am not on a diet but very nutrition conscious and as I spend a great deal of time traveling, always looking for healthy convenience foods. Have tried Freshly, Home Chef, Blue Apron, Gobble, etc. Freshly is the most comparable to BistroMD as it is a meal service that comes ready to heat and eat. BistroMD is not cheap compared to frozen grocery store meals, but much cheaper than Freshly with most meals coming in between $9-$12. Protein is very high (25-35g), calories very low (generally 250-250), carbs low to medium. Flavors and textures have been amazing-have not had any rubbery meat like I came to expect from Freshly. The only meal I didn't enjoy so far is the shrimp etouffee, but I think that was mostly because I don't care for okra's weird texture. I would definitely use BistroMD if I was on a diet, pinched for time, etc.
The food is horrible and their shipping policy doesn't work at all.
I ordered my first delivery and it wasn't delivered until Monday of the following week. I tried the food and didn't like it at all. On the same day, Monday, I went to my on-line account and cancelled my account.
On Tuesday I received an email saying my net shipment was in pre-shipment status. The tracking number had been created by FedEx but it had not been shipped.
I called them and the operator told me that because it was done on-line I couldn't cancel but that if I had called in person I could have cancelled it. How in the world was I supposed to know that?
Now I am going to be stuck with 20 meals that are inedible.
I definitely would not recommend this company.
If I could leave fewer than 1 star I would definitely. My boyfriend and I were so excited about Bistro MD, we thought this would help us achieve our goal of eating better and healthier. I read online about the dietician and all the help that you were to receive from this site. However, when we ate the first dinner we both took two bites, looked at each other and knee we could not finish the meal. We couldn't make out if the side was potato or what is was but it DID NOT taste nor have the consistency of potato. The food (including the one lunch I tried) had NO FLAVOR at all. I have eaten at places for those on a special diet and this wasn't even close to any taste I have ever experienced (not in a good way). This was beyond disappointing and neither of us would ever recommend this to anyone (even those we don't like) to try. STAY CLEAR!
Diet is one of the best ways to lose weight. This site just makes it easier. The food is delicious and there are various plan to choose from, also at your convenient.
I highly recommend this.
I've tried bistromd a few times for around a month at a time. Two separate times they sent me completely different meals than what I ordered. The first time I was doing five days of three meals with two snacks a day and 16 of my 25 items were wrong. At this time they apologized and said they'd credit my account for the amount that was wrong. They never do. This time when I started it up again with the same plan I got ONE meal and THREE snacks correctly and everything else was wrong, including a ton of seafood, which made me feel like they were just using me to get rid of unpopular meals that have been sitting around. I contacted customer service asking to be refunded and they said I did not make changes in time for the deadline (which is NOT true as the dates the meals were said to be planned for was this week in question), but I have no proof and they are refusing to refund me. Its very frustrating because this plan has helped me lose weight and I would continue it if I didn't feel like I was throwing around $170 a week on meals I won't eat. This company made me feel like they don't care about me, just the bottom line, by sending me unpopular meals they need to get rid of just to make a ton of money off of me. It's not worth it. Don't use this company!
I tried it for a week (10 lunch/dinners). One plastic tray was broken with black plastic shards in the food. The food actually tastes pretty good - but I have felt narsty each of five days after eating it. At the risk of being graphic but operating under a philosophy of "this has been my actual experience" - I've had gastrointestinal issues this week including gas, abdominal discomfort, and unpleasant changes in my bowel habits and, honestly, the products. I honestly feel unwell this past week. Certainly I have not controlled for all possibilities or done a randomized control trial; so there may be other explanations for my discomfort and sickly feeling. I canceled my subscription after one week - got a confirmation on the website indicating that my last box of "food" would be this week. I then got *another* charge for the following week. I emailed customer service and they indicated that they had no record of my previous cancellation. So, I'm stuck with this week's box of nasty food I don't want and, even though I canceled my subscription on the website, I got the bonus of paying for yet another week of nasty food that I just cannot eat. I will say their dry ice keeps the food cold and the cardboard sleeves on the meals are sturdy. Those are the only two positives I can come up with.
Nasty microwave dinners sent hot and not cold. Meat was still pink. This place is trying to make people sick!
Pratos lindos pra quem está fazendo dieta e muito convidativo o site e bem simplificado qualquer um pode ter acesso
