I had a guy respond to my car for sale add, named Larry Herr, I sent him another car report but he was insisting on cardetailcheck, saying it is much better than all the rest. He built up to this with legitimate questions about the vehicle in previous emails. When I went to the web site, DuckDuckGo wouldn't even open it and had a D grade next to the address. It sounds like a scam to me too.

Tip for consumers:
don't

They are cheaper than CARFAX but you won't get your report right away. They claimed an "error" on their website and 2 days after my car was sold (and I had bought a legitimate CARFAX) for the buyer they sent a link to the report. I told them I refused to open it so they sent a SCREENSHOT of the report and refused a refund. I refused to open that too as why would I want a report on a car that was sold after getting a CarFax within seconds of paying? I cancelled by Debit card after using this site it was so sketch. The screenshot below is what you will get for your $25. Reporting this site to BBB.

I recommend that you do not use CarDetailCheck.com. I listed a car for sale online, and a person named "Victor" who responded asked me to buy a report from this website before he would buy the car. I ordered the report, and their website accepted my payment, but did not provide the report. I contacted them explaining what happened, and a week later I received a link to my report.
I was able to download a report, but what I received is not what I consider a legitimate car history report. The first section of my report listed some factory information about my car-information that could be obtained by anyone. The second part of my report listed a number of problems areas that cars could suffer from, and all areas for my car were listed as "No problems found."
I suspect that CarDetailCheck.com is a scam. My car was previously in a crash (explained immediately in my sale ad), and that is easily discovered through simple internet searches. Another more reputable car history report service listed my car as having several questionable issues in its past-and they were true.
When I listed my car for sale, I was contacted by several scammers who wanted me to buy their own brand of a car history report. I call these people scammers because they were so obvious about it. CarDetailCheck.com was just less obvious. And though they did provide a report for my $24.99, and I did choose to buy it, it's obvious to me that the report I received is worthless, and they simply want to charge you for providing a report for which they performed no research.
I told Victor that he'd have to wait to buy my car until I received the report he wanted, and he said "Okay, no problem I can wait." I never heard from him again. Does that sound like a legitimate car buyer to you? There are other, more reputable services you can buy car reports from. I suggest you use those instead. For anyone listing a car for sale, I suggest that you not buy a report from any service that a potential buyer suggests, unless you're familiar and comfortable with that service.
