I've used the site for years, but to be honest, you'll need to be patient and bank on luck for a successful outing. I've had some good relationship with several girls before but they never wanted to meet me in the end. Would I say I was lucky to meet one in China. Though her English was not too polished, it made a little difference when compared to talking online( with translator). I asked her things we discussed earlier (because I've read reviews that raised assertions that the ladies were fake and that you're only talking with the translator). Thank Goodness, she knew it, so I guess I hadn't been scammed. And what's more, the lady was less beautiful in person than the picture made her appear.

The girls are real. They exists. The clnlove.com website is in Hong Kong. They work with many agencies, mainly other matchmaking agencies in different cities. As china is a very big place. These different agencies sign up these real girls and convince them to pay money to have their pictures taken professionally, if you look carefully the girls from the same city will be wearing some of the same dresses in the photo. Scam 1... these pictures are so photoshop that the real girl looks a lot less beautiful in real life. The girls were told that is ok because the foreigners are used to the artistic presentation such as we buy magazines full of photoshop pictures.

Scam 2... This is the big one. Most the girl do not speak or write English. So that is where the translator comes in. The Hong Kong head office get to see all the incoming email from us and they just reply back. They will pretend they are the girl. By keeping the conversation going they make ten dollars for each exchange. They probably pay 50 U.S. a day for an office girl in Hong Kong and she can earn her daily wage in 20 minutes. Good business and a good scam. It makes us guys feel loved. Like phone sex.

Scam 3... The truth. Only when you want to meet the girl by paying more money, you will find sometimes the girls are relentant to see you because they were never interested in you and the website was doing all the talking. However there are many cases the girl are interested in you and you end up meeting them and end up happy ever after. But along the path many many lies.

Well, for me I think it's reasonable for sites to charge a certain fee to make up for the running cost of the website operation. At this moment I think it's worth it cos they have lots of beautiful girls. That's most important you know. I just joined few weeks ago, so I can't tell if it is a scam or not but I'll figure out later.

I totally agree that it's inconvenient if you can't make personal contact with your date. I wonder why we should wait so long before getting to meet? How does online dating protect the women or make them more or less important? I discussed this issue with two Chinese friends. They said Chinese women are cautious about online dating and most of them don't want others to know they're dating online because it may make people think they are "leftover" or sort of worn out. Could this be the reason for falsification of profiles? Just guessing though. Whatever, I hope the site can turn this obnoxious motive around.

Read the good reviews carefully and you will see either that they are short on detail or that they say that are enjoying "communicating with their lady." If you want to pay for the privilege of writing emails to someone you never meet while looking at a photograph, then you will enjoy the site. But if you want it to be more than that, you will spend money and it will come to nothing.

It is a scam. When I sent my protests and reason why, I immediately stopped getting any admirer mail. I tried to use my Visa account, but they were worthless, and ended up paying these scammers. If you are serious, check out Cybercupid.com. It is very reasonable, $35.00 per month, or less for longer segments, and you pay nothing more. You use an automated translator, most of the women have realistic profiles, and the photos are usually sincere. Once you gain their confidence, they will talk outside the site, either on QQ which is a free Chinese site, or by personal email. You can do video chat for free on the site, or on QQ, so you can see the person you are talking to, and they can do the same. I've met several nice women, but if you are looking for someone with lots of money, their own business, and don't care what you look like, then don't go there. If you want a real person, who is sincere about a relationship, then check it out. The site also looks for scammers, and when they find them, they ban them, post their profile, and contact anyone who has been talking to them. They have a public forum to talk about concerns or questions, and the administrators are part of the discussion. It is definitely a site that is trying to help people, not rip them off.
