on 4/21/20I've used their thread for several years now - it's pretty much the only thread I'll use. Anyway, I have sewn many items using their thread: several upholstered pillows, many curtains, a throw rug, made cushions for my old wooden rocking chair and cushions for the rod iron furniture on my porch, and used it for making historically accurate costumes. I've never had to contact the company for anything because I've never had a problem with my orders.
After ordering an EverSewn Sewing Starter Kit from Connecting Threads - i was so excited! It had pretty much all the basics i needed without having to comb the internet in a panic. When i called to confirm my order, the operator was kind, knowledgeable and didn't judge my lack of internet skills' :) They shipped the order at 6am the next morning- & it came in two days. Two days! I was thrilled. But! When i opened the box and reached for what would be my very first pair of fabric shears' (i had already announced - no one TOUCHES these!) i was dumbfounded... they were made of plastic, they were unbalanced, and by god- they barely cut thru pApeR. Utterly crushed, i called Connecting Threads- i thanked them for their swift & kind service - but then weepingly explained the scissors. They should be ashamed of themselves,' jamie from CT said, sympathizing. I thought - wow, she gets it. But i didn't know where to go from there. I mean, i'm not gonna return the whole box, so...? Jamie was nonplussed. "search for scissors' on our site." hm... ok. "do you see (insert fancy scissor name here)?" me->... yeah...?' "would those be good as a replacement.?" i couldn't believe it. I explained to jamie that they weren't comparable - that the scissors that came with the kit probably cost 3$ - she brushed it aside. "do you like these?"... like them?! They were beautiful! She said they would replace the scissors and they were sorry. It wasn't even their fault! I am beyond impressed with Connective Threads. Over the moon, if you will. During this time of such uncertainty and fear, their unexpected kindness and willingness to help filled me with joy and a new hope for humanity. 'Connective Threads-' not an empty name... its a promise. They actually know how to make us feel it :) Thank you CT, thank you Jamie. Be safe, everyone xoxo
