The 'updated' moderating tools at Disqus have created a censorship free for all. FAIL. Websites should allow open reader posting, or not allow that. It's one thing to remove spammers and such, it's quite another to censor legitimate speech you happen to disagree with. Disqus has clearly become a beloved tool of censors, which is why We The People are waking up to this and asking others to boycott Disquss.
Obviously for the majority of reasons sited here! Thanks for the good news!
According to another poster here, Disqus "censors " "valid and legitimate" speech. According to WHOSE definition? Lets face it- YOU may think that you're offering up the most witty and wise comments and observations on a comment board, by your lights. Truth is, not ALL opinions are created equally... Anyway, your right to free speech only applies at the Federal level as a citizen. NOT on privately run comment boards and channels, such as Disqus, or other entities. Learn the difference, and lower your blood pressure... AND, don't go crazy over what Disqus does or doesn't do. Does it REALLY matter that much?
Perhaps the way you moderate your channels have something to do with how you are treated?
My guess would be that Saeed and Tony, Disqus employees, favor the complaints of certain all star moderators that are their pets. They run off anyone that doesn't kowtow to their pets. Their pets are ban happy. The pets have the worse reputations across all of Disqus. Most people avoid the pets for fear of being banned or blacklisted.
