I have ordered baby formula twice from this website and I have to say I have been super pleased. The order process was seamless and the formula for my baby arrived in 3 days! Super efficient. It is disheartening to see all the negative reviews when someone has such a positive experience especially when it comes to something as sensitive as baby formula. The product sad Intact, in- date and professionally packed. Thank you.

I am so disappointed with this company. I used to order from them about 3-4 years ago without any issues. I recently started ordering baby formula again and the last two times, their customer service is unresponsive. This previous order I made, it's been over a week and I still haven't received the DHL tracking number even though they said they shipped it out. I've emailed them twice already and still have not received anything. I'm starting to believe all these bad reviews and very disappointed. This will be my last time ordering. It's not worth the headache.

Apparently, I had some issues with my shipping address which caused a delay. This is no big deal as things like these things can happen.
I never claimed that they didn't email me and merely stated that I have never received any of their emails in regards to my shipping address.
Instead of receiving friendly explanation of situation, I was spoken to in a very disrespectful way by the General Director:
"Nonproblem and goodbye. We don't want customers like u. You are blaming us while we did our best to contact u. We go for the happy and smiling customers instead of rude customers who don't have any respect. We will refund next week."
Stay away from this company.

I ordered candies for my pregnant wife for more than 300€. Not only I never got them and the woman called Sophie is simply delaying every time my order but they just discover that they ended up blocking my account on their website. We do not have the resources to hire a lawyer but we decided to write them all social medias so that everyone can avoid them. Please readers help us get our money back from them and make everybody know how liars and crocs they are

Very bad. The prices were very high. Had to pay taxes. Paid more than the price of the item itself for only 10 pcs cheek slices when I thought I ordered 2 boxes. Have booked once and was very happy but not this time. Tried to chat with customer service, it was so to speak garbage service, did not help me at all and did not believe me and ended the call and just walked. Never shop from here again
I paid more on the postage than the actual product for rush delivery. The product was quickly shipped, however the product was ruined in transit. I contacted them for some sort of addressing of this concern, and they refused. In addition, for an item that easily has a shelf life if a year, it was mailed on 7/31/17 US time, and the best buy date was August 2017! Will definitely not use this site again.

So rude customer service. I ordered bunch of formula for my son (about 10 (stage 2 and 3) because i am ordering from US) and stage 3 had expiration date that will expire in 2 month. Seems like it doesn't matter how many items I order but i need to finish in 2 month. They don't understand my situation and not even sorry for this. Expiring in 2 month, is that normal? I don't think I am going to order again from here.

A part of the baby formula has an expiratin date of 2 months and another part has an expiration date of 4-5 months. In our opinion this is long enough as we do not the purpose of your purchases. When you want to use the baby formula months or years later we advise you to order smaller parts or placing this order at a later moment. We will never waste good products, because products with an expiration date of 2 months are still very good :) Thereby we offered you a refund when you ship the products back to us, but you have refused our offer. Thank you for your understanding.
Very rude, if they even answer as they ignore most of the emails, and pitiful customer service. Took weeks for the order to arrive and exactly half the items were incorrect. Items were missing or cheaper alternatives were sent instead (10% cheaper on the price listed on their website). After emailing ( 20 times!) I was told to ship the items back at my own cost despite it being their mistake, and that them sending me cheaper alternatives were part of the terms and conditions of their website. Refused to give me their contact number so we can come to a solution, and ignore my requests to send me the missing items or refund me the difference of sending me cheaper items. After 3 days of rude replies and ignored emails I gave up trying to get my money back.

It is very easy to order from the Dutch expat shop. Most items that I miss from the Netherlands can be found here. Even shopping from familiar shops, i. E. Albert Heijn, Jumbo etc. Delivery price is reasonable and all items are very well wrapped. Very fast delivery.

Be very careful on this site because if you write an honest review on how they handled customer service they are going to send you an email saying about it's FDA's fault.and they also not that honest they well tell you that they have shipped the product but actually it's not, and customer service is very rude.

I ordered from Dutch Expat in July 2019 and while they quickly shipped out my product, the courier lost the product in transit. I had paid for expedited 3 business days shipping directly to Dutch Expat. When I contacted the courier, they advised me to contact the supplier since the shipping fees were paid to them directly and to file a claim for reimbursement with the courier. The director of the company refused to help me rectify the situation and was incredibly rude and did not take any responsibility towards helping get the product or figure out the issue with the courier (DHL). I would not order from this vendor again or recommend them to anyone ordering from the United States due to the poor customer service and horrible insults thrown towards the customer who was simply trying to figure out where the shipment was.

We do not have any influence on the shipper in other countries, due to time differences and language barriers. We advise our customers to contact the shipper themselves, because when we have to do this it will take days or even weeks which was too late in your situation. Thank you for your understanding :)
Address input was correct, except country destination had defaulted to Nederland and it should have been the US (and there literally is no city name or zip code in Nederland that would have matched anything close in that country), rather than redoing a relatively small $40 order, they thought it was more important to argue that it was all my mistake.

Without a correct delivery address it is impossible for us to deliver your package in good order. Now your order got lost somewhere due to a wrong address. I'm afraid we can't do anything about this. I am a Dutchman living abroad, but I still love my Calve mayonaise and pindakaas, all the Sinterklaas stuff, ketjap, and Venco drop just to give a few examples. That's why I use Dutch online retail shops. I have used several. Sometimes the purchasing process has been awkward (logging on or finding during the payment process that suddenly the basket is empty).
I came across the Dutch Expat Shop. Not only did they have all the items I was looking for, ordering and paying went very smoothly and delivery was prompt. All the items were packed very well. So on this occasion I give the Dutch Expat Shop 5 stars. Well done.

Was not informed before shipment that 1/3rd of order would not be included. They claimed that the product was unavailable, but I just checked with the Albert Heyn in Harderwijk, the town of their location, and the product has been on the shelves all the time. Shipping costs included these items, a total waste of monmey!
Nice selection of Dutch items by different brands: some "old fashioned" hard to find items too. Thanks for giving us these choices. Keep up the good work.

After 8 days you started complaining about the tracking code / delivery time. We have told you in 5 emails that you have to be patience and that your products are on the way to India. I moved to the United States a few years ago and i mis some Dutch products. I used to order Dutch products from Dutch supliers in the US and that way you have your products faster but they only have a small selection and the prices for the products is much higher.
If you order from the Dutch expand shop the shipping costs are higher but if you order a more products the lower price of the products will make up for that.
I have ordered with them multiple times now. And I have been very happy with all the products. They get packed very well for international travel. The only time my shipment arrives later or with parts a little ruffled it is because it was opened by costums, and that is out of the hands of the seller.
I was really suprized by the bad reviews and I think it has a lot to do with cultural differences, and international shipping. Costumers from the US should keep in mind that Dutch products have a much shorter shelf life then products from the US, because they contain far less preservitives, and that is part of the reason it tastes different.
The only thing I think they could inprove is there website, it is slow.
Dit was mijn derde keer dat ik bij hen bestelde. Nadat ik de bestelling had geplaatst, ontving ik geen bevestiging van de datum van levering. Dat heb ik per mail gevraagd maar niet ontvangen. Door een verlate korte vakantie plus vervolgens pech met de camper heb ik verzocht de levering uit te stellen. Dat bleek geen probleem. Laat ons maar weten wanneer we kunnen leveren... was hun reactie.
Dat heb ik gedaan, alleen mails lezen ze verder niet. Een dag nadat ik ben thuis gekomen ontving ik een mail van de bezorg dienst dat de levering die dag zou plaatsvinden.
Alleen bij opening bleek er geen diepvries ijs meer te zijn en alle diepvries ontdooid te zijn.
In de daarop volgende email correspondentie werd mij duidelijk genaakt dat de fout geheel bij mij lag: ik had moeten reclameren, ik had toch een track and trace code ( die ik nooit heb ontvangen).
Die is waarschijnlijk in de map spam terecht gekomen zeiden ze, dat er geen ijs meer inzat was onmogelijk, dat was nog nooit voorgekomen zeiden ze. Logisch als je alles verpakt op de 17 juni en het pakket komt aan op 10 juli. Kortom ik was de schuld van alles, niet zeuren en wij maken geen fouten, althans wij erkennen geen fouten.
Alles wordt uit de kast gehaald, stuur ons foto's van de ontdooide produkten etc, maar vervolgens ontvang je geen enkele reactie retour.
Ze nemen niet de moeite de emails goed te lezen, dus ik ben er klaar. Mee
De emails begonnen ook allemaal met ' Hi Hans ' alsof ik ze al jaren kende, maar de persoon van de klantenservice bleek anoniem te zijn en te blijven. Geen enkele naam dus.
Oh ja een telefoon nummer publiceren ze niet op hun site, ongetwijfeld zijn ze bang voor teveel telefoontjes van klagers. Alle grote bedrijven publiceren hun telefoon nummer, maar niet Dutch Expat shop.
Dat zegt eigenlijk al genoeg. Bang om de hele dag aan de telefoon te zitten denk ik.
Voila, mijn advies: niets bestellen er zijn andere opties.

Next time please order smaller quantities which would be the best solution for products with a short shelf life. Thank you for your understanding :)
