In a marketing gimmick we were told we had won $500 for just considering a water treatment system. No details on the $500. And then when we tried to collect, no replies to queries.

Bought a 1 year membership 11/24/2023 on the Black Friday special for $21.00, have never been able to print a coupon, always says membership expired. Have contacted member services MANY TIMES always get run around with no help. They refuse to give me a refund. They have no phone #, Perhaps a letter to Attorneys General office will help with their scam.
While I can access my account online ok, the app won't recognize my credentials. The whole layout of the website is very basic and yet outdated, as well as not intuitive. While in my account at home on my computer, I clicked on the mobile-view version of the coupon to see the details of it for a store I needed to go to the next day. When I clicked out of it the coupon, it prompted the coupon to show as redeemed on my account. Anywho, not too jazzed about not being able to access the app nor the online layout and way it is organized. The used coupon issue was the icing on the cake.:-((((
T-Mobile connected me to this site as a weekly customer "Thank You". Tried using a coupon that said I had to show my screen. I am not going to the pizza parlour on a Friday night to wait. Called the store and they seemed generally confused and unhelpful. Just one of another coupon site that offers garbage. Steer clear!
Tip for consumers:
Don't bother. You can get fake coupon codes on hundreds of other sites.

Don't waste your money on their scam. I should have read other reviews before my purchase. They do not notify you that your auto renewal is upcoming then if you want to cancel they say no you already renewed. Scammers. Savings suck also.
This has been one of the most useless apps I have EVER wasted my hard earned money on! Nothing but frustration. Go to a place & it doesn't exist or they don't except the coupon or you were supposed to print it out at home. Printing it out kinda takes away from the whole mobile idea, doesn't it? Just getting the darn app to load can be like hitting the lotto. I purchased a dozen of these babies & handed them out at Christmas. I have had nothing but complaints from my family. This is one gift that just keeps on giving! Buy if your into loosing your money, getting told no repeatedly, laughed at, complained to and the list goes on. Not only will I never purchase these ever again, I will not purchase the books either. Wish I could give it a negative 10. This will work (-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-)
Years ago - at least five, by my memory - we used to advertise in this book by offering three coupons. We ceased doing so because the $495 a year that we paid did not get offset by a significant increase in business.
Today, and several times a year, we were presented with yet another coupon that we did not authorize! In fact, even the logo on the ad was old! We are forced to honor these coupons which our pricing structure can no longer support, or we look like dishonest businesses. This is an unconscionable way to do business. We are an honest, ethical, small retail business. We cannot afford to turn away one of these unauthorized coupons or we risk a negative review on Yelp or some other sort of retribution. I seriously don't understand why this company hasn't been shut down. I'm about to contact the Ohio Attorney General about this, as they are the second company I've had to deal with today cheating me. Shame on them!
Tip for consumers:
If you are a merchant, post a sign saying you didn't authorize the ads in the Entertainment Book. Warn your customers up front so they don't take it out on you when they go to check out and you turn their coupon away. Small businesses treasure their reputations, and being in bed with Entertainment Book is bad for business and my reputation.
Automatically takes payments every year! It's not worth the hassle to try to quit. Once they've got your credit card info you're hooked! Even changed my credit card and my bank let's them automatically take payments without new expiry date and new 3 digit code. They are Scotiabank's customer too and believe me entertainment.com and Scotiabank are both making tons of money from their "valued" customers! It's a legal scam!
Absolutely Terrible! I purchased the book for years which included digital access. No longer! Now consumers must pay and pay more for digital access. They claim the Denver area book is sold out (that's a 1st but I really think it's just a marketing ploy) because the only option left is to buy a digital membership for either $20 or $36. And customers have to remember to cancel membership otherwise you will continue to be billed.
The book is just not what it once was; not nearly the same number of deals or variety of vendors participating. Going downhill each year.
And really, no phone customer service. Tsk tsk.
I posted a 3 review earlier that I qualified by saying there were fewer coupons for my area. I've since realized there are more than I thought but put into its own section for Vancouver Island. Still, though, not as good as last year.
I would give it zero stars if possible. I ordered a book on 3-11-13-- they charged my card and told me it would be here in 10-14 days. After 3 weeks I asked for shipping confirmation. They said they would respond within a day. I did not receive a response until 4-12-13, at which time they simply directed me to call them-- during business hours, which of course are when I'm at work. Today I called and they admitted they took 4 1/2 weeks to ship, failed to communicate the delay, failed to respond to inquiries... And the best they would do was a partial refund if I return the book once it arrives. Completely unacceptable. I will NEVER buy from this company again. They do not care about their customers AT ALL.
These people are 'crooks'! They are supposed to email you in advance of 'auto-charging your credit card'. How convenient is it that I didn't get that email but I did get the form emails after I wrote them about the $19.99 charge on my credit card... will not now go into effect until next year! Such BS. And their coupons are worthless, I can get better coupons for the restaurants, places etc. for FREE online why would I pay $19.99 for worthless coupons!
Got my 2020 Toronto book a week or so ago and it is by far the worst edition ever. It is so thin I wonder why they bothered publishing it because they clearly appear to be going out of business as the book is about a third the size of even last year. Don't waste you $$ like I did. Never again for me. Sad as I have been a regular customer.
I cannot believe this company gets away with the handling of auto renewal and charges your credit card with no notice and you receive the books and if you do not want the books. You pay shipping and an extra fee for sending it back. So just tell anyone you know and the restaurants that use this book etc. that they should be sent to the better business bureau for the way they handle selling their books... cancel your membership. Try to end purchasing. When they offer you a deal it is not worth it in the long run...
So people say its a scam, I don't buy that. We used it in CA and for Papa Murphey's alone, it is pretty great with a 50% off coupon! Pretty much everything else was about the same as just having a coupon from the mail. You don't need to buy a new book for each area you are at. If you have the app it works where ever you are, which can be nice. If you travel a lot and eat out a lot, it works great. However, we moved to Utah and the website SAYS they have Papa Murphey's coupons in the area, but that was a load of garbage. I have checked thoroughly and there isn't anything for Papa Murphey's out here. There is hardly anything at all in my area. I wish they would be more upfront about what is actually available in your area BEFORE you buy it.
Ordered a book at a discount, they said I could cancel my annual renewal. Common sense says they won't bill for next year without notifying you. Well 2 months after, they billed me for the next year! They used an incorrect address, now I'm out $30 and no book!. The books are useless, would never pay full price. They have no phone service so you can't complain. They have idiots answering emails. This is ripe for a class action lawsuit. Any lawyers want easy pickings? DO NOT BUY! Do not do annual renewal!
They keep charging my credit card even though I've deactivated my membership. There is no customer service phone number to call at all! That's for a reason. Search for yourself on their website.
Stay away.
EPI ACQUISITION, LLC is the owner of "Entreatment book". Do not buy their online book. They are publishing coupons without merchant authorization. I have found many merchants who are experiencing this exact problem and, I am one of those merchants.
This just happened within the last month or so and you should expect major fallout as a result. Don't spend your money on the subscription.
If you have questions about this call them. You'll never get through. Their corporate number is a cell phone. Total BS.
It's a waste of money. I live in Houston, and they clearly have no idea how big Houston is. The book is nearly useless if you don't live down in Baytown. Also, I've used their feedback service to report restaurants that are closed, and yet they keep publishing those coupons 3 years later. They seem like a bunch of amateurs to me. Toss together a mediocre product and make your profits with the $30 sale price. I can't even find a way on their web site to cancel the automatic renewals. Don't get tangled up with them.
Yet another company that crams so much into the page that you can barely see what you're agreeing to until new books arrive at top price.
Don't try to call them. They do not post phone numbers. You have to email and will get back a form response that everyone gets.
All saying that you did this and that. (Basically saying, "we got you again")
I always thought these books were a good idea but cheating your customers is never a good idea. I will not let this one go. Done being deceived.
Time to involve commercial monitoring agencies.
I cancelled my membership and they still charged me and sent out a book half the size of what they used to be anyway. Like everyone else has stated, many businesses are no honoring their coupons. It is definitely not worth the money! Their customer service is beyond terrible. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. I am so upset with them!
This company has turned to a scam tactic of making it impossible to cancel the membership. They billed my card AGAIN this year now for $25 for a membership I have been trying to cancel since last year. The only way to contact them is through a webpage request that leaves you no proof you have ever submitted anything. Nobody ever reaches back. When I sign into my account it says "no active subscription" on file. Then how is that I am billed every year? I just got a reimbursement from my Amex card and they blocked them! They cannot charge my card anymore thank goodness!
Save money and eat out more often - The entertainment book itself is rather useless because you can only go to a place once. But if you get the entertainment gold card, you can use it an unlimited amount of times. This is definitely worth it. They have some really good places to eat and everytime you got you get a free entree.
Does not honor their coupon. Said they did not place in the book and would not honor the coupon we got from the book.
