A few years ago I wanted to take my boys to an mlb game. I put my trust in Excite events and what a win! The web site is easy to navigate and the discounts are welcome. Tickets were affordable. I have been using Excite events ever since.
Well have to say the old excite.com site used to be invaluable in the days before there was a Yahoo or Google. It is pretty much dead now as technology and UI's have passed it by... one time this site was a decent alternate when hotmail was king...

Several months ago I emailed tech support regarding the fact that almost all of their links are dead and simply return the following message:
Sorry! We couldn't find the page you requested.
While you are here, why not check out these other great areas of Excite!
After about a week they replied and said we are aware of it and working on it. Now several months later nothing has changed and I give up, dumping them as the site is totally worthless and I suspect they may be getting ready to close down. Can't believe a site could be broken this long and still be in business?
I had an e-mail with them almost 30 years. They have "overhauled" the site a few times, making it less user friendly, but my password always worked.
This past March, they did a big upgrade which didn't recognize my username/password. I've used that one for 8 years.
It seems when they changed things, it somehow went back to my original password which no way I could remember.
After almost a month of multiple attempts at logging in, trying different methods, AND contacting technical support, I got in. I got a temporary password only because I was able to tell them the names of some folders.
And after all that, they didn't improve the e-mail at all. Still slow and not user-friendly. Thank goodness I stopped using it as my primary account years ago because it wasn't easy to use. But I still need to get in there now & then, and it is a "alternate" for another account.
Their main site is not pretty to look at anymore, and you can't customize it with themes, colors, etc. like before.
I have had an Excite email account for more than ten years. I have tolerated the various problems I have had with them. This is the final problem. Can't access my email, tells me my user name and password are incorrect or my account does not exist. Goodbye! Have had enough, going elsewhere. I would not recommend Excite. Marc Elias

If It wasn't for Excite events I wouldn't even know where to start. It took the hassle of worrying about the pricing & pressure of did I pick the right seats. Compared to other websites I feel I got great value for my money. Great seat selection. Added fees do not seem as high as other ticket resellers. Looking forward to my next adventure with the help of excite events I'm sure my memories will be priceless.
I have an email account with these irritating broken no service SOBS. It is my MAIN email account! I have NOT been able to gain access ( being punished?) for TWO DAYS! And they are REFUSING to do a damn thing about fixing this problem! I have tried TWO browsers. I have tried TWO internet service providers. I have tried going in anonymously. Meanwhile if I'm EVER allowed back in (which I seriously doubt at this point!), I will have so much mail piled up that I will be sitting at my computer until I am dead and buried! That's if my computer works! Not knowing what the problem is, I am taking it out in frustration on my computers, my keyboards, my mouse ANYTHING that is easy to break with bare hands/and or being able to throw. This is cruel! And as I said, a website that just doesn't give a crap either!
If you enjoy frustration, unreliability, unprofessionalism, and just outright incompetence, then this is the site for you! I've put up with their constant lack of reliability and unaccountability for years now primarily because their email was free. Unfortunately, you can't depend on whether it is actually going to work or not, frequently never even delivering your email messages, and without even informing you that they didn't go through. I finally decided to delete the account, but of course, their tech department simply won't do it. I've tried to delete the account almost every day for a month, but they simply respond with an automated message, jerking you around. I think they probably get some perverse thrill doing that, or they think they will keep you as a member if they simply ignore you. Well, think again nitwits. I've just abandoned the account after transitioning all my emails from this incompetent and unprofessional site. You've been warned. Use excite.com at your own risk!
Use the promo code, else the tickets are expensive, they have promo codes on promo sites that can offer an addition discount else the tickets are above the face value.
Enough with the Washington post click bait adds. I will go elsewhere.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,...
I've bought several VIP tickets that Ticketmaster don't even offer and have never been disappointed. Not to mention that they're the same tickets that Vivid and Stubhub offer, but cheaper.
Excite customer service sucks. I cannot access my email account and they are absolutely no help at all. I remember now why I quit using excite
EXCITE.COM IS HORRIBLE!
I ordered my tickets 2 months before the show. The receipts said that the tickets would arrive "BY" 5 days before the show. I assumed that they were talking about worse case scenario. No! They attempted to deliver the tickets the day before the show and when nobody was home, Fed Exp wouldn't leave them without a signature. I called their the customer service number for TICKETNETWORK (the company they were distributing them through) because I was worried that the same thing would happen the next day. I took off work during the time that the tickets were supposed to come, but they didn't come in that window. I talked to Kyle, who was probably the rudest customer service manager I have ever encountered. I needed to go back to work and the tickets weren't there. I ASKED KYLE FOR MY MONEY BACK, BECAUSE THE SHOW WAS THAT NIGHT AND UNLESS I SKIPPED WORK, I WASN'T GOING TO GET THEM IN TIME. HIS RESPONSE WAS PRETTY MUCH TOUGH LUCK. I ended up having to miss half a day of work in order to sit around and wait for them to arrive and get my signature. Plus I paid 2X MORE THAN FACE VALUE AND THERE WAS A $50 PER TICKET HIDDEN FEE AND A $15 DELIVERY CHARGE. **** DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM or TICKETNETWORK.COM!
