Searching for a SDQ to MCO flight I had hits on Frontier and decided to book through SmartFares. This was a bare bone booking with only a personal item no bags. On this trip that was all I needed so I saved some cash. The Jan 28th flight got cancelled due to mechanical issues, this can happen flight cancelled we didn't fall down. The lady at the check in offered me either a refund or a seat on the Jan 30th flight. I took the Jan 30 offer, Frontier also handed me a 50 USD credit to be used on a future flight. I give Frontier four stars for this can't give them five because of the cancellation, but four. Overall the crew at SDQ were helpful and did a great job sorting it out. In stark contrast to a previous attempted flight SDQ to MIA where i was incorrectly denied boarding due to Covid 19 restrictions not fully understood by the check in crew. For a pure bare bone flight Frontier works.
On the same day I purchased Discount Den for $99.00, I realized I placed the wrong middle name in my profile. I was unable to edit my profile. Once they have your money, their customer support seems to be completely done with you. I could not access via chat (because I was not an Elite number nor had a current reservation) or a phone call. Frontier offered RT's from San Diego to Vegas for $38. No checked luggage. Only a personal carry on no larger than set dimensional guidelines. I bought two. My bag was 1/2" too large, but could still fit under my seat. I was rudely denied flight. They told me it costs $189 to check the two personal items each. I complained and asked for refund and was told, "Our airport staff is trained to determine if a bag qualifies as a personal item or has to be paid for as a carry on bag. I'm sorry to hear you don't agree with the policy, regrettably, we must inform you that your request to be refunded cannot be fulfilled as it states in our terms and conditions on the website."
How is this fair? It just isn't, it's a rip off. If my bag fits, it should ship.
Do not book or make reservations with frontier. I am in dispute right now I am out a few hundred dollars because I canceled within 24 hours. Basically they're charging me for changing my flight plans. I was just making changes before I made the purchase. But that doesn't seem to matter to them. And now I find $145 charged in my checking account and I never gave them my checking account when you asked for a refund you only get $.40 on the dollar stay away please. It's obvious the The only way they stay in business is by cheating 80% of the customers. Apparently they can't be honest and stay business at the same time.

Horrible, horrible on line experience with Frontier today. Tried to book reservation for 3 family members. Had to pay 2different prices. Extra charges for seats, carry on and checked baggage, Even extra for coffee. I called customer services and waited over 1 hour. The representative was rude. She finally agreed to give me a credit on my next flight. The voucher came and it was good for 3 months, no extension( are they serious). I will NEVER fly frontier, it used to be my favorite airlines but not anymore. Customer service SUCKS!
My wife bought tickets with frontier on our trip to Seattle. The price was $100 cheaper than other airlines, but by the time we paid for bags, seat, drinks, etc. It was better to fly with someone who doesnt charge for a carry on and gives you a little leg room!
There are online reviews all over talking about the poor customer service at the airport and in-flight. I made sure that I didn't have to interact with the ground crew just in case of an adverse experience and tried to go to sleep for my entire flight. I can sleep anywhere, even sitting up unreclined on a plane. But at Frontier, I met my match. The seats are literally just curved metal slabs with some thin fabric wrapped around them. The funniest thing was the tray 'tables.' They are HALF SIZED! And of course, another metal slab. Barely big enough to hold a cup, certainly not big enough to hold a laptop/tablet. I believe that it is big enough to hold my hand.
The silver lining was that the seat, legroom and tray 'table' provided a very entertaining social media post for my network, based on the feedback. Before they went bankrupt they were a much better airline.
After using our underseat bags on the last 30 segments on Frontier without a problem we were gouged $99 per bag by self righteous little gate agents in Denver.
The Frontier gate agents in Atlanta and Cancun and Vegas had no problems with our wheels which protruded 1/2 inch.
Done with this BS on Frontier.
Flew from Charlotte Nc to Denver and didn't have any issues with personal item but In Denver boarding flight to Sacramento, there 2 people were checking on size of bags and when I fit my personal item which was travel bag 18", one corner of my bag wasn't fitting in bag check niche and they made me pay $99 for it and both who were checking bag size were rude. Stay away Frontier!

OMG I was warned about Frontier, but I was directed to them via that slimy Priceline. DO NOT FLY FRONTIER unless you want to keep paying excessive fees for everything but cabin air, and I'll bet money they're trying to figure out how to do that. All round low end from 'service' (which is non-existent) to attitude.

BEWARE *** App shows flight, itinerary email states canceled. I bought the Den Mmbership for free open flight availability. Tried to change to a later flight due to a delay resulting in my rental car place being closed. I wrote a complaint about the $600 charge. They illegally canceled my flight without my consent and are keeping my money. No person CS, just automated chat and emails. BOOK ELSE WHERE OR GET ROBBED!

Frontier Airlines exploits their consumers during a national crisis/pandemic. Frontier forced travelers who booked flights during the height of COVID-19 to re-schedule a flight that costs the traveler nearly double what they paid on the initial flight. In order to not lose the money travelers had already spent, travelers were forced to spend more money to book a flight within only a few months while the pandemic was still in a heightened state. Frontier Executives are selfish and out to make money off others struggling during a national crisis. I will never fly Frontier again. The seats are terrible and they charge high prices for low quality. Be prepared to be cramped in your seat unless you pay triple the fees for your ticket. Any airline is better than Frontier. Don't waste your time or money. In addition, the customer service department was unprofessional, disrespectful and unhelpful. I waited over one hour on three separate occasions to talk with a representative. I will ensure all friends, family and media outlets are aware of Frontier Airlines' poor practices and failing policies, particularly while the country is struggling in a national crisis.
Missed a flight due to front line employees making two horrible decisions in life of the kiosk not recognizing my flight info (3rd time in last 8 flights with them the kiosk has had error).
Bad enough you miss the flight despite being there in plenty of time, but let's have to stay an extra: 45 so that they can take your ID & disappear while they search for a supervisor. After returning with an "alleged" Supevisor my request to have the rebooking fee was declined imams berthas would fall well below acceptable for someone whose staff just created the issue in the first place.
They are cheap for a reason, I have missed a key family event and s meeting that cost me revenue that would take 100 discounted flights to break even for the loss.
I can tolerate it when font line employees make mistakes. They are understaffed and fighting a losing cause, when management arrives and proceeds to decline my request without allowing me a full sentence, deals off.
It's going to be a tuff fiscal move, we fly weekly amongst a staff of 4, but the apparent short term savings have cost me dearly dealing with this airlines.
Majority of our flights originate from their base. I feel sorry for the shareholders & employees that actually try to make things work.

I flew them for the first time and was so disappointed. The flight crew was so mean and refused to help me. I'm in a wheelchair and needed help but nothing. Here is my story. They tried to take my walker so i couldn't use the restroom but on the web site it states all medical devices get priority storage. The as i was getting on the plane there was a foot step to board and no one helped me so when i finally got on the flight crew blocked me and i can only stand for a minute and my body gives out. Then after telling them to please move they sat me in the wrong seat and told me to move. Then my sister and i was having a private conversation and one of the flight crew was listening and started yelling that she wanted me off the plane that she didn't have to listen to me. All i was telling my sister was how disappointed i was with how the airline was. Then the male flight crew stood in the isle with his penis in my face. All in all it was horrible. But if thats not all the return flight was when they misplaced my wheelchair. Took forever to find it. So my point is if your disabled do not use. You get no help from the crew and they are mean
I had a flight to return to San Diego on May 30th. I had a confirmation and everything to prove I was to fly out at 6:45 A.M. When I arrived at the airport, I am many other people were told we MISSED our flight which in fact was not true because they were still loading the plane. The real truth is YOU overbooked and put us, about 15 people at an inconvenience. I had to book another flight through one of the airlines there at an unreal, ridiculous price of almost $800.00 just to get to San Diego. That is outrageous as well as you overbooking just to make sure you have every seat occupied. I want half of my fare returned to me on my credit card or I will accept a check. I will not accept anything less. You don't know the trouble you caused me to have somewhere to stay for the night as well as get me to El Centro, which was my destination. I have a message into your recording for Frontier Complaints and compliments number but you seem to think that I am not important enough to return my call within 2-3 days as you said on the recording. I expect to hear from you and I will not stop until I do receive my money back. I am sure the other 14 people feel the same way. They first refused to check in my baggage citing they needed at least 45 minutes to process it. Made me wait 10 minutes before they got back with next steps, which was a rebook option on the next day for an additional change fee even though I had bought their refundable tickets which marketed exactly to not worry about situations like these. Alright, I ask them to do the booking -- They aren't able to book the tickets because they can't charge the fee. How bad can your service get?
After 30 minutes of waiting, they just ask me to call their customer care, which asks for an additional $25 agent fee if I book through their system. What the f@*k is wrong with you guys! They wouldn't even refund my add-on to the flight which was to convert the ticket to a refundable one.
And I only needed to re-book in the first place because they wouldn't let me board the flight because apparently 40 minutes weren't enough for my bag to clear TSA whereas other airlines have never fussed about this before. Finally, I went with a different airline and have vowed to never use Frontier again.
They have no booking desk, so you have to use an agent. I booked a flight in Jan, 2023 for a flight in May 2023 using Expedia. I received the confirmation from Expedia, but never a word from Frontier. Later, in May, I tried to confirm my flight. Cannot be done. So I went to BWI in May a bit early to ensure I could get checked in. NO HUMANS in the ENTIRE AIRPORT work for Frontier. I had the Maryland Transportation Police search for me. NOT ONE PERSON COULD HELP ME. I booked a flight with Southwest, and managed to get home. Of course, there is no refund offered for flights that they have cancelled, and they will never tell you that your flight has been cancelled...so, they have your money, and you have no way home.
Frontier has no CHAT for help. If you try it, you'll see. It does not work.
They have no telephones. ALL links connect ONLY to some Indian who will try to force you to buy an upgraded ticket...on flights that may or may not even exist.
And they seem to have no employees. And you are UTTERLY SCREWED if you buy a ticket.
There are bad airlines out there...but FRONTIER is the model for an incompetent, uncaring, idiotically managed fake business.
STAY AWAY FROM FRONTIER...or you will regret it.
