Its not just who paid into HA. It is who paid for the lead as well... which will people a handful of people at once.
Hello, Home Advisor only seeks contractors that have ' paid into ' their business. In other words, they may skip over a dozen reputable contractors until they find one that has an account with Home Advisor and has paid their annual dues. You will know the name of the name of the company via a phone call or email before they arrive. The contractor is not allowed to give you an estimate while at your home either. They will call/contact Home Advisor usually the following day to discuss a quote. To me, this is a waste of time and too secretive. I personally want a quote standing in my own home. Ensure you have a contact name of the technician/plumber ect that is coming to your home as well. My advice, do your ' homework' on what the national average costs are associated with the work you wish to be completed. You should have an estimate in mind before Home Advisor gives you their quote. You can get your $$ back too if you request it.
