IKEA is my favorite furniture store for its affordable prices, modern designs, and convenient shopping experience. The showroom layouts are inspiring and make it easy to visualize how pieces will look in my home. I appreciate the flat-pack packaging, which makes transportation and assembly a breeze. The variety of styles and options available ensure that there's something for every taste and budget
Nightmare with their IKEA for business sector. Sent wrong products 4x in a row for my office cabinets. Their financial team never verified the return process and posted to a canceled account without authorization, then never followed up with me directly with mail, etc. after multiple attempts to post the return. I'm an extremely patient person with customer service having experience on an IT helpdesk phone system, but quickly found their customer service is challenging to work with. I got transferred three times only to wait on hold for 2 hours. Reached the original person who transferred me improperly and was patient only asking for a manager, but was rejected. Finally forced my hand and manager is an intermediary at least, but no communication with the source has caused more confusion on the issue.
IKEA's delivery service is a complete mess. My order arrived missing half of the items, and the ones that did show up were damaged beyond repair. Trying to get a refund or replacement was like navigating a maze with no exit. IKEA needs to overhaul its delivery processes if it wants to retain customers.

IKEA is my go-to destination for affordable furniture and home decor. Their products are stylish, functional, and easy to assemble. I appreciate the variety of design styles available, allowing me to find pieces that suit my taste and budget. While navigating the maze-like layout of IKEA stores can be overwhelming at times, the prices and selection make it worth the trip.
IKEA is more than just a furniture store—it's a destination for home inspiration. I love browsing through the showroom setups and imagining how I can recreate them in my own space. The affordable prices and modern designs make IKEA furniture a great option for anyone looking to refresh their home decor. Plus, the Swedish meatballs in the cafeteria are a must-try

IKEA charged me £40 for delivery, made me wait a week and sent everything loose. 2 items arrived damaged. They would not let me report this automatically online and I had to start a customer service chat. Redelivery will be another week, putting my project back and costing me more money. Avoid this company at all costs.
None of the promised advance contact for delivery of online order. Phoning them made no difference as identified time slot not met and when checked tracking it baldly stated "not delivered". Paid £25 to waste entire day for 2 people, no idea when to expect delivery now, phonelines jammed, and they really don't seem to care.
IKEA.com is a joke. I've been waiting 3 weeks so far, for a duvet and sheet set. The status has never changed from received order. I contact customer no-service, completely useless.they actually lie to you and say it will be there tomorrow. Never again.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t order online

Not only have Ikea failed to deliver my item when promised, I have strong suspicions that one of their staff has used my card details fraudulently. I eventually managed to get hold of someone in customer service, who has informed me that they won't do anything about it. Please, don't give them your card details over the phone. I felt safe because it's a big, well-known company, but they honestly don't care.
Ordered a kitchen, including delivery and installation. Immediate payment was required. Installation was done improperly. Had tried for two months to reach customer service via email, SMS, and whatsapp. Besides informing me that they are busy and that someone will try to reach out to me, nothing happened. I wonder if the company has a policy that results in customers giving up on service. This is what happened to me. My only suggestion for anyone seeking a new kitchen is to use other companies.
Tip for consumers:
all I can say is that if you consider complete remodeling of your kitchen use another company with good customer service. I am afraid that Ikea's policy of insisting on full payment long before delivery and installation does not inspire confidence in this company or in its services.

Tried calling customer service 3 times. I was on hold for over an hour each time. Talked with one person who forwarded me on into limbo. I can only assume that most people just give up. Horrible company and the profits go to Sweden.
People say that this company is high priced but it's not, you just have to know how t shop. I bought a nice living room couch, beds, linens, things for my kitchen, and a ton of different designs. I like them a lot.
I received two (non furniture) items that we're damaged (worst packaging I have ever seen). I live nowhere near an Ikea, so tried to deal with the matter by phone. Get a phone menu, offering options 1 to 3. Three is what I need, but system won't accept it. Try option 2 (order tracking) and am told I will be transferred to the right department. I get automated message about high call volume and they "cannot answer right now." Click. So I try the email contact form online. Options under "about my order" are "business customer" or "order cancellation." Nothing else. Another dead end. What the heck is a customer supposed to do? Phoned again and tried option 1 (new orders) and the agent is now trying to get through to the right department. I am listening to screeching "music" and repeating recorded messages. My life is passing before my eyes. Never ordering from Ikea again.
Only go there when I want 1000 tea lights for next to nothing. Then I take my search dog with me because I won't be coming out anytime soon. They should offer lemonade stands throughout that awful store. I'm surprised no one has died from a stroke or heart attack while trying to get out! They have done that on purpose but it really has come back to bite them in the butt. I won't go there anymore!
Ikea and their shipping company lost my order. I am unable to determine who lost the order because reaching a human being is impossible despite waiting on hold for over 2 hours only to be told that a warehouse search for my order was being conducted and not hearing from them again. They will take your money, not deliver your order and good luck getting it refunded. I can't comment about the quality of the product since it never arrived but if it's anything like the customer service it would get a one star too.
Unfortunately will not be purchasing from IKEA anymore. I used to love their products due to their reasonable quality/price point. They did not ship all items on last order- paid $99 for delivery and did not even receive full delivery! Called them and they said they would send the missing pieces out- was told now that it won't arrive for another month- original order was placed in April! They think its fine to just keep a bunch of huge boxes waiting (because items cannot be built without the missing pieces). Was not offered any type of apology for their lack of attention-- Beware, Ikea does not care about their customers.
Bought a sofa in the store (with long waits), got home, started putting it together and realized that almost ALL of the hardware was missing. I emailed them, then called the very next day (also a long wait) and let them know. It's been 2 weeks since my purchase and I still have received no hardware. I got an email today (first response to the one I sent 2 weeks ago) stating that the hardware was being shipped and it'd be 10 business days for receipt. In other words, it'll be a month before I can actually use the sofa. I've gotten no explanation, no discount, nothing to mitigate this inconvenience. Horrible service!
My love affair with Ikea is over. I started buying their furniture as a college student. That quality was fine, but the service was excellent! Now, they've worked on their products but allowed their service to plummet. They take no responsibility, don't allow you to speak directly with people who are empowered to resolve problems and hire a delivery company with an F Better Business Bureau rating. When things go south, they say they "understand" your frustration but do nothing to make things better. Zero accountability means my almost 30 year love affair is over.
Ikea is great for furnishing your home or office, but I find the site really difficult to navigate. For some reason it doesn't seem intuitive and usually I just end up going to my local store after the frustration with dealing with them online.
Ordered two chest of drawers. Charged my account but never heard a word from them. Called and found out the order was cancelled cause the items were not available. I order quite a bit online and normally not charged until the item is processed for delivery. Why did IKEA charge my credit card for items that are not available? Now have to wait and see if I will receive a refund.
Ikea has some decent stuff. I have found some attractive furniture items that were reasonably priced. The only problem I have had is trying to call customer service if I am having problems assembling the furniture. They were completely incapable of helping. Luckily, through trial and error, I figured it out on my own. It would be good if they logged common problems assembling certain pieces so that their customer service is better equipped to help.
I've ordered twice now from Ikea. Because it's so far from me online ordering is easier.
1st order. Items arrived damaged. Both sets of drawers. They were cheap. Not worth sending back.
2nd order. I paid for pick up in the store. A friend picked them up for me without checking the boxes. One box had forklift damage on the side. Actually poked a hole right through one of the drawers. Resulted in a second trip to Ikea.
Shipment fees in Edmonton are ridiculous as are installation fees. You pay $100 for a cabinet but then $200 for delivery on a specific date and installation. Products are not worth this.
It's only worth if you go in person with a couple of people to help you pick up items and install yourself.
No offense but what's the hype? The food is cheap and some of it is truly Swedish but the furniture is junk and you have to be herded like cattle through the store with some sort of stupid maze. I am not impressed. It was super packed with people the two times I went so they must be doing something right.
All their products are so beautiful! But I can't say that all of them are of the high quality. I had a good experience buying from IKEA, and also I bought a chair last month which was broken on the next day.
You get what you pay for from Ikea. Their furniture styles are in but the are bad quality. I would say if you're always moving to different places, then Ikea is great for you but otherwise, their quality doesn't stand.
