I bought 2 cardigans around 2-3 months ago. They're both pilling already. I wore them
4 x each. Can I return an item for poor quality past 90 days?

Past 90 days, probably not. But some store managers will accept worn or washed merch if it's within 90 days and there's clearly a quality issue.
