on 5/18/13I got on Loopnet intending to use it for a couple weeks. I intended to pay one month's subscription. By the time I noticed it on my credit card, I had been charged for 3 mos. I got online and canceled. I called Loopnet and requested that I be refunded my 2 months, stating that they could see that I did not log in to the service at all. They stated that the site was clear that I was getting into a subscription that would keep charging my account, that my request had been reviewed and was denied. They would not credit me the two months. At this point, I am watching to see if my current cancellation will take or if I will need to call back.
I believe that an upstanding business should credit me back, given that they are 1)charging a card with recurring charges, 2) they can see I did not use the service, 3) they sell essentially a subscription to a software product that does not depreciate from use.
In my business, I have credited back unhappy customers for lesser reasons than those that I am citing.
