As most are aware, Matches is in liquidation and I am devastated to see this happen. If one were to read my previous reviews of this company the only service that was lacking and inferior was the most important service of all. Customer service. This is not the fault of the employees, it is the fault of the senior management ànd/or the owners. I told them this repeatedly but my warnings were not needed and ignored. Customer service in any business is the most important service of all and by ignoring it, matches has gone down the pan. Matches are in administration and will not let you return if the item is not right. After being a loyal customer for many years they have let me down! No service and loyalty does not exist, think again before purchasing!

I have been a customer of Matches for several years I liked their business enough that when I would return an item I would request a credit instead of a refund. I tried using my credit a couple of months ago, prior to it going under administration, and reached out to them and just got a response 2 months later that they went under administration on April 7th and can no longer redeem my credit. They apologize for the inconvenience. This credit is over $1k and it is now theirs. This is fraud and based on other customer experiences you will read about it is not a business but a scam and should be shut down for illegal behavior.

We are on day 30of this nighttmare; day 21 since I returned the item and day 15 since they acknowledged the return but have yet to refund me. Today they decided to blame ME for disputing on paypal and telling me they can no longer refund me because of the dispute! This is almost funny. Any company can return despite a dispute, in fact, it immediately stops the dispute. It seems that hundreds of customers are experiencing similar issues. I think a class action lawsuit is the best course of action at this point, as well as to shame them on social media. So far nothing seems to matter to them except terrible customer service. Shameful.

Whereas the order wasn't confirmed and did not proceed, my credit card was charged with the amount of 1.024,80€
Up to now 01/04/2024 and after 4 e-mails I have sent to the matchesfashion.com customer care:
The above mentioned amount is still held in my account as pre-authorization funds because the matchesfashion.com has not processed it back to my original payment method
This is illegal.
I have been a customer of Matches for 35years and returned a pair of shoes to them on the 4th of March. Their returns process had changed considerably since my last order and I felt hesitant about leaving an expensive item in an InPost locker. However it was picked up and in its way to Matches by the end of day in the 5th of March. The courier suggested I contact Matches who said they would raise a claim. I heard nothing for days after that then received an email to say they had gone into administration and my product would neither be refunded or returned. This is nothing short of theft and even if it is 'legal' due to their administration it is an appalling way to treat a customer. I will never shop with them again.

MatchesFashion, is a thief. I returned an item on 5th March, they neither refund, nor return the item, claiming they gone into administration on 8th March. The item cost is 650 euros, which was an amount I saved to buy something I needed for a long time. I know so many people experiencing this problem right now with MatchesFashion. It is with sadness I will be closing my account with MatchesFashion after many years as a loyal customer. Since the purchase of the company by Sports Direct (Fraser Group) this has coincided with an extreme deterioration in customer service levels, an increase in postage costs and a charge now imposed to return items. I will now look elsewhere to more professional sites like Mr Porter for my clothing needs.
I have ordered a dress €€€ from Matches. I received a dress so badly constructed I could not rise my arms past my waist in it. I asked for a return but I was a few days late (only 14 days to make a return) and Matches just won't accept a return despite the faulty construction. They claim I am just "not happy" with the dress. Bad company, they just don't care about their customers.

Never but anything from matches fashion their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my 30 years of buying designer clothes. I purchased a pair of trainers online from matchesfashion.com, after 1 wear the sole started to separate from the shoe. I returned them to matches customer service. I rang them weekly for 8 weeks for an update. They kept on fobbing me off saying we are waiting to hear from the product specialist team who will make a decision and they would let me know. I would never hear back from them and would have to call them and wait on hold for 30 minutes minimum for an update. Only to hear the same excuse. After 8 weeks of waiting for a resolution they are now saying we are not refunding them and sending them back to you. I have never been treated so badly by a brand in my life. I would never purchase anything from matches fashion again and would advise anybody not to buy anything from them either.
Matches Fashion's appalling customer service is enough to make anyone shudder. After returning an item, they conveniently deny its receipt and have the audacity to ignore multiple requests for clarification and proof. It's astonishing how a supposedly reputable company can be so callous towards their customers. Avoid this nightmare of an experience at all costs!

Despite returning my item, they have conveniently claimed that it was never received, and my three attempts to seek clarification were blatantly ignored. I placed an order in the afternoon on Wednesday in the US and just received my order this Friday afternoon. I bought a Self-Portrait dress and it arrived in high-quality, luxury packaging with no issues with the product. Despite some of the other reviews on here, I would most likely order from them again.

I placed 2 orders since my first review and both time the process was very smooth: perfect product and speedy delivery from the UK to California. I am a happy customer. I do not understand the negative reviews because I find their process to be top - including packaging, invoice documents, and additional informative paperwork. This appears to be a professionally run company.

I read the reviews after placing my order, so I was a bit worried. Needlessly! My five pairs of expensive, brand new, perfect socks arrived in California via DHL within a few days of placing the order. I read criticisms of DHL - this is not deserved at all. I have dealt with DHL my whole life and they are utmost reliable. In fact, I received emails and txts to track my order. I was given the option of waiving my signature, and I did. The DHL courrier dropped the package by my front door and rang the bell. The packaging was beautiful and included an envelop with the detail of my order and a return slip. I am impressed. A smooth, well orchestrated process that inspires confidence in Matchesfashion.com
The online retailer is tricky one. They asked me for a survey to exchange a promotion 15% off code so I did. When the time I was ready to use the promotion code, it didn't work. I asked service agent why it didn't work, she said because the code doesn't work on certain brands. On the disclosure there is nowhere mentioned about this. I felt cheated so ended up not buying the necklace. I saved 100% instead of 15%. By the way, I never understand why there is " Duty Free" listed in the pricing. In reality, we still pay sale tax anyway, again very tricky.

This company has caused me so much stress in the last couple of weeks and I have let them know I'm dealing with stage 4 metastasized colorectal cancer. They don't care.
Yet again they send a delivery doc via email with the wrong pick up address. It seems to be that there systems are archaic and their staff not trained at all. No one answers phone. Over all calling and emailing has wasted my time and I'm still sitting here with a delivery to return which I have also tried to return from a local dhl office. It's not possible. The use dhl which also seem to be rubbish. I'm upset, and frustrated. It's totally unfair on me. I have written countless emails and even contacted the shop. I seem to be going in circles. Nick Beighton from what I can gather is the CEO. I am now going to try and bring ti his attention or press. All I want is to return my goods and receive my money into my accounts.

Beware this company. I bought a dress for $800 that was dry clean only. The colors bled all over the dress. The dress was sent for testing and proved it was a manufacturing error. Matches and Borgo De Nor refused to make it right even after I mailed them the dress as they requested along with the lab report. Do not buy from this seller or this designer.

I have ordered several times before. It's better now because taxes and duties are included in price, $20 shipping fee. Called for tracking number and was disconnected. Within seconds a team representative called me back. Amazing
Terrible, ordered a t-shirt 350+ euros a week ago. Haven't gotten an confirmation mail nor a shipping mail. Mailed them about it and they replied:
"I can confirm the order was unsuccessful.
Any funds that might appear to have been removed from your account, have simply been held as a pre-authorisation, which will be automatically reversed by your bank within the next 5-10 working days."
What the f is this bs? How was it unsuccessful when Paypal got through? On my Paypal it literally says I paid.
I bought an item that turnout out to be faulty (shoes that broke after 2 wears and not worn for very long at all). It has now been over 4 months and I have not had any resolution. I sent the shoes back to Matches 2 months ago for them to inspect. The last email from them was 1 month ago saying they would update me shortly and since then no response despite multiple emails from me prompting them. This is terrible customer service considering the elite price points and brands you are stocking. Replies take a very long time (over a week minimum) and there is no sense of following up or actively trying to sort out an issue. I'm surprised so many luxury brands are willing to be associated with this level of service.
I was assured that the head of customer service would be contacting me once the 'investigation' into the case was completed. This was some months ago; either Matches ability to carry out that investigation is to the same low standard as their customer services and quality control and they are still trying to assess everything that went wrong, or they were lying. Either way, never again, there are other companies that actually are able to function and treat their customers like customers, not an unpleasant distraction from running a ludicrously bad business. My friends and acquaintances are joining me in boycotting Matches; losing custom may lead to them changing to a decent company.

Matches sent faulty boots... why; do they not check?... and then long, farcical returns process ensued.
They insisted I use their choice of courier, even though no depot near me, so after weeks of asking for R. M. to be used, I had to take a day off work to wait for their courier.
They have since told me they could have requested a two hour collection slot, but they didn't. No apology.
I answered their email 11 days ago; no answer as yet.
I would not buy from this company again if they were selling £3000. 00 coats for £3.00. They do not know how to provide customer service.

Finally, after a month, received a response with an apology for mishandling of the customer service and a resolution to the simple question raised by me. No explanation of what has caused the customer service issue, so I cannot say that the root cause has been addressed.

After three emails and about 2 weeks since the original query on Feb 7th, on February 22nd, I received a response apologizing for the delay and that MF will get back to me shortly. As a surprise to no one I guess, all I have is crickets... I have yet to hear back from anyone. Is anyone still working there to respond to customers? This is supposed to be a luxury retail platform, but it appear to be a complete joke and utter disregard for customers.

Delivery is always fast and reliable when it comes to Matches, and prices are usually fair. The issue is, I have so far purchased 3 pairs of Alexander Mcqueen sneakers from them, and only 1 pair was in perfect condition. The other two had small faults such as the sole was slightly damaged, the rubber was loose where the sole and leather upper meet, the leather upper seemed to be stitched in a little wonky on my latest pair etc. I don't know if there is a quality control problem or something, but probably wouldn't recommend if you're buying designer shoes.
Bought a pair of espadrilles and they looked like the shoes were from 2 different pairs ie they had different designs.
When I returned them it took over 3 weeks to receive a refund and they would not refund the freight charge even though the shoes were not as advertised.
They said that the shoes are hand made and can vary, but on the website the shoes advertised look identical. This is clearly false and misleading advertising.
I will not buy from them again and would not recommend the site.
