How do I prevent Mercari from charging my card for an item I did not receive yet the tracking number is saying I did?

As someone who has had packages stolen from my home after they were delivered: you have to just eat it. The seller shipped your item and delivery was confirmed. It is not the seller or Mercari's obligation to refund you when tracking shows your item as being delivered. It sucks, but that's the way it is.
