So dating sites in NZ and Ozie have less than one man per woman. NZDating has over two men per one woman. This when there is more women in NZ than men. Reason? Most of the men on nzd are partnered or married just looking for a quick@$#!. Arrrrh but women love the attention- and they know all the guys are cheating.
LONG and short of it, crap site for dating as the single guys don't get a look in with masses of sex starved married men.
Tip for consumers:
don't waste your money
This site seems to bounce to the NZcity homepage when you log out, features fake profiles, anonymous people that absolutely do not end up going on "dates". The site seems to feature a fair number of either recently single or divorced profiles that list grievances against their former partner.
Males, and some males seeking male attention send unwanted sexual images also that are entirely un-asked for and offensive.
Two operators on the site - the bizarrely named Belladonna Clairveaux and someone called Rosedead are possibly fake profiles. The first one recommends meetups for "erotic photography sessions" with a pre-composed contract message that gets sent by email. What this actually means, I have no idea - seems like a scam actually.
There are normal people on the site, but honestly the chat applet is sorta cringe and vacant, seems to attract "all sorts". Not sure why the site exists, other than it's a properly made social media app with no subscription fee. Oh yeah, you can subscribe to "gold membership", but the page's 13 year out-of-date design and insistence that it "... really does work" isn't exactly competitive.
Note: the company or owners of the site remain anonymous, despite requesting a paid fee for "special features" in the online dating world.
The NZDating website has low site stats in NZ and VERY low stats globally.
Having visited frequently for a while, then left I noticed the following:
A) it's free, which is GREAT - but then so are most social media platforms, except things like "Tinder", which are FULL of fake sites, bots, scammers etc.
B) NZ Dating has no real scams - but if you are a male there are a few "adult style" pics on the site that belong to about two permanently dubious sex workers, also males that have reasonably appealing profile pictures may get unwelcome messages and "genitalia" photos from random gay unknowns.
C) Women get far more traffic inbox numbers than men, and men can range from blokey, naff and anonymous to seedy and slimey. A few genuinely nice people appear on the site (10% hovering, and I'm not fussy) - the majority seem like like overweight divorcees, single parents, charmless kiwi douchbags and people that just live in rather remote areas.
ALSO: There's also a chat/social applet page, but the dialogue ranges from "jokey" to just plain dumb. A few knuckledraggers make dumb, even threatening remarks.
You can't really bet on dating sites to find love - websites are fundamentally anonymous, unknown messageboard sites - but as mentioned, the price is good, the layout and functionality is reliable and a ton of people there are "singles" you probably wouldn't wanna meet anyway.
Its an ok site, but the women all want romance and the men all want sex... Good luck lol...
