I'm amazed at how poorly run a long established business is. After several attempts at fixing the same problem, we are waiting once again for the "parts" and appointment. Problem is no one knows what's going on. Babies in the background when you call service. Tell me my dishwasher and stove is on the ticket yet my refrigerator is the problem! Parts are in yet there not in! Bottom line, no one knows and no one cares.
I have an extended warranty on my LG refrigerator. I have been without an operating refrigerator/freezer for over 6 weeks. Three attempts to repair the unit have all failed. They have no idea what is wrong and when I call customer service they could care less. I wonder how long would any executive at PC Richards do without a refrigerator? I am disappointed and disgusted with the service I have received to date.
After calling for 3 weeks trying to have my Maytag Refrigerator and Stove that is only 1year 1/2 old. Dealing with Customer Service has been complicated. They are Rude like Sandra and are unable to make a proper appointment. 1st set of Appts. Were with Danmarc Appliance Repair they never showed up. I was Home from 10 to 6 pm. Total Bust and waste of my Time, Called Back PC Richards to get appt for same time for each appliance and again 2 separate appts to different companies. To Date Appliances are still not repaired I cannot believe how stupid and Unprofessional these employees are. Do yourself a Favor purchase your Appliance from A More Reliable Company. They are only going to Waste your Time!
I bought 2 Yamaha ns555 from PC Richard & Son. Very fast shipment and good service. I can say that I am totally satisfied with these speakers. I really appreciate PC Richard's service and look forward to a continued to buy products from this company.

We purchased a brand new washer which doesn't work. The lid mechanism to lock the machine is completely missing. Customer service stated the that the best they could do is send out a service person in almost 2 weeks. I called the store to see if I could physically return it since it was still new, but they said they would NOT take it back. Now it's holiday season and my family is out of clean clothes even with now owning a $600 washing machine from PC Richards. Next time I'll be buying my appliances at Home Depot or Lowes. I truly believe they sent us this defective washer to punish us for not buying their extended warranty. Buyer beware!
Purchased LG washer & dryer 12/9/22. Receipt states items would be delivered in 3 weeks. 6 weeks later they finally were delivered. Paid for delivery & installation & the delivery guys did hook up the machines however the dryer door needed to be reversed. As of now I need to reach over the door to load laundry into dryer. Did not notice this until after delivery guys left as they had machines running & advised me to let them complete cycle. Reached out to PC Richards & was told that it's an additional $50 to reverse the door. I have purchased 3 dryers in the last 30 years from Home Depot & install charge ALWAYS included the door opening to whichever side necessary. This place is just the worst appliance store. When I replace my kitchen appliances I'll go back to Home Depot.
Viking fridge. I got the 10 year warranty. Never worked right from day one. They have been repairing it for the last year. They ice maker had to be repaired 5 times (think lemon laws), the fridge does not cool, my food spoils quickly, the ice cream in the freezer is melting and still they refuse to replace (which is what i paid for). I called 5-6 times in the last week trying to speak to a manager, I'm always told 'you will get an email with updates' or 'a manger will call you back no later than tomorrow' never heard back and still my fridge doesn't work. I have no idea where to go from here.

Their customer service is really lousy. Don't buy any appliances that would not be serviced by PC Richards. The current problem I'm having is that for Viking they use an outside contractor who keeps making bogus repairs rather than certify that the fridge is not working so he'll keep getting paid for unnecessary parts and repairs.

Viking fridge, range, range hood, dish washer. The range had to be replaced because of a manufacturer's defect, the dish washer stopped working after 3 years, the range hood does not suction and make extremely loud noise when turned on and now the fridge is not cooling.
My 11 year old flat screen TV died. Service came and said cannot fix (I thought so) and did not charge. So I went back to PC Richards and purchased a new 65". Price was more than fair and the sales service was helpful but not pushy. Had it installed last night - no problems. Every person I dealt with from sales to service to delivery were professional and courteous. Also thank you for having a phone number to call for any problems!

Please think twice before engaging this business. We bought a new fridge that started giving problems within the first year. Their service rep came 3 times and did nothing to help. The fourth time they diagnosed the 'problem ' and ordered the wrong part. The fifth time they installed a different part than they said they would. After he left the fridge stopped working. Called right away to see if he could return and was told ge was too busy for the rest if the day. Fridge currently not working.

I put an order for three laptops on 8/14/2020 Order #*******994. PC Richard & Son cancelled my order without noticing me, I found it out after a month when I was trying to check on the status. They claim that they don't have Billing info in their system, but it is showing in my order detail web page. What's more crazy is that it's been almost 3 month, PC Richard still haven't returned my $500 giftcard which I used in this purchase. I've been calling for almost 10 times to them. They always say they will call me back or they will send me an email. But it turns out that they just ignore you. Their online chatting system is another joke. Whenever you try to talk with them with their only system, they just give you a phone number, then back to step one... My very first experience with P. C. Richard and Son is this bad, I just don't understand how they feel about their slogan "111 years of honesty, integrity, reliability". This is ironic. Don't ever do business with P. C. Richard!
I purchased TV and ring camera at the P C Richard store in Roxbury, NJ. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The sales person that I met with, Trevor Swasey, was fantastic. Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He answered all of my questions and which made for a very positive buying experience. If I had to rate Trevor on a scale of 1-10 I would rate him a 100. Would definitely recommend him to future customers.

I purchased a brother inkjet printer, and it is defective. You can't reach a support resource at the number they provided *******909, and it is extremely slow working with someone via email. I requested a return and full refund, but I was told they would only do an exchange. I'm in Ohio and they are in New York, so I'm waiting for their support resource to provide me a shipping label to exchange the product.
Very dissatisfied with service. Second time purchasing appliances from Pc richard both time items came defective. I called into location to address my concerns All I am getting around and it seem like no one knows nothing.
While it is understandable that orders may be delayed due to shipping limitations with COVID, upon consultation with both their online and telephone customer services, they're explicitly lying about items being delayed despite being past the scheduled arrival date, in addition to not even providing a valid tracking number. Furthermore, the original confirmation email explicitly states that customers have the option to cancel orders if they do not arrive on time, yet once again the customer service is denying such claims, even when being told the rules laid out by their company verbatim. Even if the customer service at least showed a bit of compassion or even owning up to the delays could this be understandable. However, by instead denying any fault and if anything laying blame on the customer for not being relaxed enough to not care when their package arrives is simply inexcusable.
Extremely great service as always. We recently needed a new Washing machine. We visited the Bridgewater NJ store where Robert went above & beyond in helping us choose exactly what we needed. This is our third appliance purchase over the last couple of years & each time the service was perfect from visiting the store to final installations.

I had the task of putting together a home theater with no personal experience. I walked into pc. Richard's and mr Carlos Moreno helped me and my wife for 1 hour in putting this task together, I purchased a 75" lg flat screen with a amazing surrounding system to compliment the the gorgeous flat screen.
He also made sure I purchased insurance / extended warranty and helped me pick out some air purifiers for my new apartment… Ty pc Richard's and sons!

Called service center to repair freezer light not working and dishwasher has a insulator cover falling off bottom of door. Tech arrived and inspected, had to order parts. That I understand. Tech returned dishwasher part wrong,freezer part was used and covered with food debris. Had ty o reorder.tech returned 3rd time dishwasher part wrong again, freezer part wrong also but tech was able to take wire harness out of wrong part and use in my freezer drawer. Got that working. Returned a 4th time for dishwasher repair part was correct but wrong color will reorder and have to come back. I think this is a horrible way to run a business not to mention the time I am losing because I have to take off work to be here for the tech. Very disappointed. Sw

Bought service contract, which in theory offers replacement of product after x amount of failed repair attempts. I use my oven twice a year, during holidays. Once Beko didn't hold temperature. Twice the hinges could not hold the door closed. My Monday appointment was cancelled by PC Richards; today's 7 - 11 still has not happened. It's 2:19. The service lady informed me the techs don't work past 5:00.
I checked the oven mid November to SEE if it worked--it did not. Called service had to wait for diagnostic appointment (which I already diagnosed), waited for the part these six weeks, now still waiting, hoping, someone shows up.

Only PC Richards sells Beko appliances. I bought the Beko dishwasher, which was replaced with a Kitchen Aid a year later, the refrigerator (which at least you know is running by its noise) which has had three repairs, and the range--enough said on that.

The Repair of my top of the line LG Refrigerator brought PC Richard Technicians to my house over 6 times during an almost 2 year period. After reading the reviews here from people with issues with their Refrigerators very similar to mine I decided to contact Corporate Headquarters through email first before writing a review. I am glad I did. They responded immediately and said they would get back to me in 2-3 Business days which they did. When the technician Ronnie came this time he was determined to fix the refrigerator or get me another one. He was able to fix it and explained everything he was doing and documenting it because if something else happens with this refrigerator now everyone will be clear that this refrigerator has to be replaced. I also felt like I was throwing money out of the window with all the food I had to throw out each time my refrigerator stopped working. I must say however, in my 30 years of purchases from PC Richard this is the only item that I've had this kind of issue with. I gave them 3 stars because it took 6 times to get it right. However, If I were to include an evaluation of my 30 years it would be higher. I now know that in the future I will go directly to Corporate Headquarters if I have any type of repeat service or repair problems.

I just bought Pentax K5 from there and so far they sold me an extended battery for $45.00 instead of the advertised price of $89.00. They never pushed for insurance or tried to up the handling/shipping charges. I bought it on Sunday 9/18/11, they shipped it 9/20/11, and UPS tracking has it coming tomorrow 9/22/11,700 miles from NY. We will see tomorrow if I did or did not receive exactly what I ordered, ie a new Pentax K5 with 18-55mm lens. Will keep you informed.

We have been purchasing appliances from PC Richards for the past 22 years plus. Every appliance in our home and rental is in every part from refrigerator, stove, dishwasher etc. We ordered a washer to be delivered in a time manner, but unfortunately we had some major issues with each level scheduled delivery. Jerguan Sales Consultant sold us a washer for a scheduled delivery date that was unsuccessful with a host many. We were at the end of our patients. Mr James Alessi, manager Steve the Deer Park Store took swift immediate action to the highest level to resolve our ongoing problem with delivery. Mr James never let go of our hands with this until our delivery was in house and sent a refund to top it off! Class act Mr James and we appreciate everything you did along with assuring that this level that we experience will be stamped out in the future. PC Richards has a reputation to uphold and Mr James and Uza delivery team was phenomenal.

Had an issue with my new Beko refrigerator regarding the handles upon installation of fridge and paid for a 5 yr warranty
Had to call PC Richards several times since they never return your call and frustrated trying to get a service call scheduled by PC Richards. I called a made a complaint with customer service whom never followed up. I did speak with the store manager who scheduled an appt and they actually did come and fix the issue had to jump through hoops!
Great customer service at Beko, I called the refrigerator company directly and the regional manager called me back within 24 hrs and scheduled a service call at my convenience ( which I didn't wind up needing)
My purchase and delivery went smoothly but the follow up PC Richards regarding issues is horrendous!
We have been P. C. Richards customers through the lives of many appliances and have returned repeatedly because the value, service and reliability was always as promised. And we always believed that the prices were the best possible.
Now we have our doubts. In fact, I feel price gouged.
In 2014 we purchased a 1.9 CuFt GE (1100 watts) over the range microwave with all the bells and whistles—we mostly needed the large size as well as the high wattage for fast heating. Now, seven years later, we've had to replace that unit with its replacement model because the original microwave intermittently fails to heat. So it's $300 or $400 to trouble shoot and repair the older unit and we paid $239 for it back in 2014 so we thought it was reasonable to just replace it.
We did and do expect price creep nowadays but we never expected to have to pay a bottom line difference of $177.27 for the replacement microwave. And not a deal breaker, but the new unit offers fewer features and benefits. It has 100 fewer watts of heating, no accommodation for a second rack, a single surface light bulb, a considerably louder operation and a button layout that miserably failes to improve on the prior design while offering exactly the same control features. The door construction and materials must be inferior to its predecessor since when you open and close it, it sounds like a used car that you'd walk away from.
In the past, we liked that P. C. Richards had their own trucks and delivery people. Not that our guys today weren't terrific, it's just that P. C. now charges $30 to remove the old unit which wasn't the case where they had their own employees running delivery and installation. Now, It's farmed out.
So I was disappointed in the net VALUE that we've been used to. The price creep has compromised the benefits of shopping there.
But in all fairness, I didn't see much difference in pricing structure initially, when shopping around before the purchase.

Bought a GE gas *******@PC Richards 8/31/2019. Last week the control panel stopped working(2 yrs and five months). Extended warranty expired September 2021. Today went to the store and spoke to manager. Told him I was very upset as my previous stove lasted 18 years and this one was only 2 and 5 months. His answer was that appliances are no longer made like years ago.No kind of help at all.If I get their technician is $169 just to come to the house as labor and parts are extra charge. Stove was only $499 but with their delivery, tax, warranty and connection came up to $817 which is now down the drain. I do not recommend them at all.
