“Your calling QuickCert a scam because they had a sale...”

Steve T.
7/1/12

Your calling QuickCert a scam because they had a sale that was ending? I hope you realize every company has sales that end at certain times. Right?. I've never used their courses, but my boss did and he got certified. Had nothing but good things to say about the course. Take it however you want I just wanted to respond because clearly the people bashing them on the web are wrong.

“Reverse mortgage certification - do not use this company”

John T.
10/25/19

There are many many companies offering reverse mortgage counseling, there is no need to use a company that causes problems or is difficult in any way. I used this company for reverse mortgage counseling on referral from my loan company. No one informed me that my new wife, who is not on the title, must participate in the counseling as a non-borrowing spouse until the time of the counseling. This should have been fundamental information at the time Quickcert scheduled the counseling. My wife was not available at the time the counselor called, and Quickcert would not reschedule without charging another $125 full price fee. I tried to discuss with the manager, left 2 messages on his answer machine without any return call. It also took multiple phone calls to finally receive the certificate by email as they had promised. Save yourself the expense, aggravation, and unnecessary delays, simply use a different counseling service.

All this company cares about is getting your $125 in advance. We made the mistake of choosing them for Reverse Mortgage Counseling for our 90 yr old mother. The counselor was rude, impatient and showed no compassion while demanding quick responses to confusing questions. This was not a counseling session, but rather an interrogation. They upset our mother and we had to end the call without getting a certificate. They refused to issue a refund, despite not providing the service they promised.

Requested reverse mortgage counseling on-line. Didn't get a response. Sent e-mail for confirmation. Got a voice mail telling me to call. I called and was told there were 32 callers ahead. I opted to reserve my place and have them call when it was my time. Never heard back from them. Called another company and a representative arranged a time for the counseling..

After calling to cancel a counseling service for a reverse mortgage, they charged me as if they provided the service. They most assuredly DID NOT and yet these cheap bastards are keeping my $125.
After talking to others, I discovered Quick Cert does this all the time and are horrible counselors. Do not use.

Tip for consumers:
Don't rely on your lender to give you the best places to call for HECOM counseling. Call around. Non profits all got federal money from the pandemic to offer the service for free. This place took the government help and must have just kept it.

They have a bunch of training videos and they sold me access to them, I paid 900 bucks for the privilege, I wanted to study Sharepoint.
However, the course was unusable, there was a guy on the screen talking extremely fast, and fumbling words two or three times per sentence. There are no closed captions, and no text, just streaming video. I tried to listen very hard, but I gave up after two days. I picked it up again after a few months, with the same result.
The selling point that made me buy membership is they said they have cloud virtual machines I can connect to, to try out my knowledge. These machines are difficult and expensive to set up, so I was very happy that they offer it. Needless to say, they don't exist, it was a lie.
All the other points of their sales pitch are also lies -- a free e-book library, live webinars, and live support.
I would not recommend them to a friend!

Please don't use this company they will scam you. They asked for 125 hours upfront and then they schedule your counseling two days later or three days enough time for them to process your credit card then they set up a time to call you on that exact day exact time while I waited by the phone for two hours they never called I called them back and they said they tried to called me and left a voicemail there was no voicemail my phone and I said I was sitting by the phone the guy said well that's too bad if you want to reschedule you have to pay another $125 the guy was arrogant and rude and almost laughing this company is a scam artist they will pray on you they're very convincing do not Use them!

These people take advantage of people looking to get a reverse mortgage. My friend was trying to get a reverse mortgage. She called QuickCert and made an appointment for couseling and gave them her credit card no. For the 125.00 fee. When I found out, I put her in contact with the local housing authority that did it for free, and then canceled the appointment, a full day before the 3 hour time frame needed for a refund. The next day, they called to do the appointment which we canceled. They lied and said we did not cancel the appointment and refused to return the money they took. When we called the credit card company to file a complaint, we found out they took that money, the day the appointment was made, not as they had promised that the money would not be taken until after the counseling session. I am still fighting to get the money back for my friend who is disabled with MS and really needs her money back.

I used QuickCert as an additional study tool to pass my Security + and A+ and I passed both. I found the videos to be very good and when my subscription expires I will reactivate it to continue to use their services for additional certification after I graduate next summer.

I signed up for a training program. I initially decided to go through my company, but they told me that the training program is ending soon. So, they provided me a payment plan on a promiss that they would refund money if our company decided not to proceed froward. But, I was never refunded. This went on for about year. But never got a refund or heard back from them on my calls or emails.

Accouding to the sales person, they said they do not work on promisses only paper work. Which means I lost morethan $1900 believing the promiss.

I recommend not to fall under the sales trap.

They called the wrong number to do the interview. It's an easy mistake to make but the $125 up front is still in questions.
I'll report back one way or the other.

I called them and they fixed me up with a really nice course package.
I wanted a particular course that wasn't available yet, but would be in "a couple of weeks."
This turned into many months (> 6), but they said that they'd make it right.

Yesterday, they called and told me that my courses were about to expire. I explained the situation to the guy (he claimed to be the general manager or something like that). He told me that he'd fire anyone on the spot who would have offered the deal that I was offered twice (during the time when the course was supposed to have been released).
He wanted me to pay $500 for what was already promised to me (twice) for free.
Anyway, the guy was probably having a bad day--this happens to all of us.
I contacted someone via the website email and they got back to me the very next day (this morning).

Helayna called me and made everything right!

She single-handedly turned me into a raving fan!

If you're her manager, you should give her a raise!

It just goes to show that persistence can really pay off!

Approximately one year ago I got a reverse mortgage with counceling from Quickcert. They demanded $125 up front which I paid with a credit card. I am working on a modified reverse morgage and was refered to Quickcert once again. They accepted another upfront payment of $125 and then said that they would not release the certificate because I HAD NOT PAID the first bill. During the last year, they never mentioned the supposed unpaid balance and never tried to contact me. They are obviously trying to "Double Dip".
STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUNCH OF SCAMMERS.

Educational Scam Alert! - I received a phone call from "Todd"@ Quickcert today.

He was friendly, and very talkative. During our conversation he was able to offer me amazing discount deals on bundled courses. According to Todd, the offer came from his boss, and it's onyl valid IF I made the purchase today (within 2 hrs of time).

That's when my alarm went off.

So, I hanged up and started to do some research online about quickcert.com, and I found some very bad reviews just as I suspected it:

Http :// www.ripoffreport. Com/searchresults. Asp? Q5=quickcert&Search=Search&q1=ALL&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0&submit2=Search%21

Through these reviews, I found that "Todd" does the same sales pitch to others... but more concerning is that, they scam people off their tuition and people have been complaining about their outdated, insufficient, poor quality educational material.

Also, I found that they are not a certified Microsoft Partner like it says on their website! I made the effort calling Microsoft and asked an agent about quickcert, and they have never event heard of quickcert at all.

So, i am glad that I took the extra time to look up quickcert!
