As a female, I find there are very few guys with follow through unfortunately. On the other hand, there are wonderful people who you come in contact with from all over. I love how chat is so random & topics change quickly. Lots add great fun & many members try to liven up chat and in doing so, it encourages those sitting on the sidelines feel comfortable enough to join in. With only 2 mods now, several of us try to help in their absence:) I've met wonderful people from all over the world & nearby. Can't wait until Summer get together!
A few reviews on here stated it was a free site….it might have been at one time but it isn't now……they wanted 19/20 pounds for a month……I got it on offer for £2 for 30 days………that is nearly up and my total contacts was 3 site bots and 2 scammers…….a truly and complete waste of space and time basically……don't touch with a barge pole….paying a couple of pounds softened the experience to be fair……but you stand a better chance hooking up at Tescos or Sainsbury's lol

While I appreciate a hookup site that is totally free, it appears that SaucyDates is not attracting enough attention and then keeping it when they have it. I tried searching for dates, hookups, etc. in my area, and the only women in my area haven't logged on in months.
I think this says something about their marketing. Fling, AdultFriendFinder, $#*!Book, etc., all market a lot more. I don't want to pay their prices but at least I've heard of them.
I joined up and immediately met my first scammer. Who after messaging me tried to lure me off to another site to continue the the 'conversation' for £40. The site a ghost town with fake profiles or they live 6,000 miles away from you. The chat portal is full of crude desperate men and zero females..

I've been a member for 3 years on Saucydates, Not 1 single message, its crap just like All the rest of these free sites, even some of the paid ones are a wast of money, I need to retire from dating sites nearly 3 years and only 1 date who turned out to be a gold digger... sad really.
Full of cyber bullies, the so called chat mods, favor there old friends, and they bully anyone new, if there not someone they want to associate with, 5 hr chat bad for telling someone they were a cyber bully, kinda sums up the site, bar that bog standard dating site, cam girls and fakes in the plenty
It's 100% free, but most of the profiles are fake! Also there are not many women in my or around my local are who use this site. If I lived in a bigger city like L. A, Chicago, or Miami then I would enjoy this website.
Hello Anthony, we try very hard to delete fake profiles and delete 100s every day in addition we have a blog area that helps explain how to spot fakes. Being free is great for the real members but does leave us a bit exposed to abuse. Please reconsider using our service, we are always working very hard to make it better for all our genuine members.
Saucydates.com is the real thing. A free dating site with real people and no charges. Is it easy to make a connection, not really. The word is not really out there so there are not a lot of active users in any given area and the men do out number the women. However, I managed to get laid all the same and it didn't cost anything to use the site.
Hi Sitloz, its nice to see an open and honest review. We do have a lot of male members so if you're a female reading this and you want to be in demand then please join us. We are working on a new version of the site for 2014. This will have a dedicated mobile version which we expect will make the site more popular. It will also move to a new server so it will be much faster. It great to see that the site worked for you and you got lucky. A good profile picture and high quality messages really help your chances.
Few nice people chat room is a nasty place always the same people giving others a hard time and plenty of bull $#*! and people asking for money and complete lies in chat so funny some persons daily and fake pictures
We've given this site a fair crack. It really is so irritating to have our accounts deleted for no reason whatsoever. You want us to nominate SD, no friggin chance.
The site is oh so dead. You don't deserve any rating whatsoever; so it's free, well big deal, but it's oh so crap, why bother. Hope it disappears soon.

I own the site and in general most of these comments are valid. Let me add a bit more detail. There are of course more than 6 attractive females and I'm sure the reviewer knows that is a flippant comment. I feel we struggle with live chat as it is impossible to provide an area that people from all over the world can get on with each other. In the real world there are people you like and people you don't. We have a chat room that everyone is together, there will always be some friction. Live chat is a tiny part of the site and people are best to contact and chat with people that they like via private messages. Access to messages and private pictures is only granted to me as of course I need access to them. People may upload abusive images, copyrighted images etc, they have to be checked. Messages are checked with scripts, there are over 10 messages per second so they cannot be read. But scanning with in house code is critical to providing our service. For example, it will scan a look for people trying to scam others, offer sexuality services for cash, under age members etc. Overall the site is rated by its users as one of the best casual sites online today and I often survey members, get feedback and improve.
I've been a member of saucy dates for almost two weeks, on completing my profile i uploaded a couple of pics. It takes up to 24 hours for the photos to be approved.The pics I uploaded were normal inoffensiveness photos. Nothing seedy about them at all, but they haven't been up loaded to my profile, and that's in spite of sending an e-mail to saucy dates, which i never got a response.
Saucy dates is completely free generating income from advertisement. On up loading pics to a profile a message from the site states that all nudity or offensive photos will be deleted and membership to the site could be revoked but the companies that advertise on the site uses obscene images. There's to many negatives to award this site more than one star.
Great thing they have going here, I have met, and have indeed hooked up with female users via this site on more than one occasion, and on top of that, the cite is great for Cybersex. (If that's your thing)
The chatroom? Meh, it's not a very important feature, I honestly never use it. It's better to just message people privately, but you have to be willing to post a picture of yourself otherwise you might not get anywhere. If you're afraid of people seeing you on a site like this, remember the only way they'll see you is if they too are on the site.
Only part I would complain about is how long it takes for a picture to get approved (Took mine well over the stated 24hours) but sense the site doesn't have a team of like 70 people (And is FREE) I can accept this.

It's free... Keep your credit card in your pocket and away from hookup sites where it belongs.

Hello Bojan, Last week we updated how the city database works. Here is the information from our blog article:
In the past we took the GPS location provided by the device and selected the nearest city from our database and then overwrote the GPS location with that of the centre of the city. Sounds a bit complex! But in other words, if you were from New York, USA then everyone in New York was in the exact same location. But New York is a big city so now we do this:
We use the GPS location and find the nearest city. The city is then used for display purposes only but the GPS coordinates are stored for a more precise location. This allows you to find people within your area of New York, for example. However, if you watch a lot of TV like CSI, you will see once a week they find the baddie via triangulating their position. If someone (a baddie) made 3 online dating profiles in different locations and then visited your profile and recorded the distance they could work out your exact location. We don’t want that to happen so when we store the GPS data we approximate it to keep your exact location secure.
These change mean that the city database is now only used for display reasons and you can find local people quickly. I hope this would help you?

Thank you for the feedback. We always need more females so if you're female and reading this please join us as we have about 20 men for every woman on the site. We do have a lot of 18, 19, 20 year old males and we offer a block setting of you want to meet older people. You can choose your age range and people outside of this cannot send you a message. It saves you a lot of time from the 100s of messages a woman can get every day.

At some stage all sites need to have some income source to grow unless the owners wish to run at a loss. It takes a lot of work to write a bespoke dating site. We also work very hard to remove fake members, about 40% of our development costs are used in this area. We delete about 20,000 accounts per year. Visitors can also report others and we review profiles every day. We consider our site one the best and make a good, clean environment for dating. Amazing how this site has suddenly had an influx of great reviews!?!?!... Believe me. Its a terrible site with known sex offenders allowed to return after being banned from the site after a mere couple of weeks... You have a number of people on the chat that think they rule the roost & any newcomers are usually & instantly tried to be belittled by them... Most of them are scammers to be fair... Overrun with fake profiles & after my outburst about the return of the known sex offender I was banned(along with some other members that made a noise about it)... good riddance...& no I didn't hack the site you sad muppets... the conspiracy theories continue even after I have been gone for several months( I still talk to a couple of people on there)... My opinion... Steer clear & if you choose to join hide your credit cards & don't be a gullible twonk!... I wouldn't even bothered rewriting my review but all the fake profiles rating it as a good site had to be shouted down!
A REPLY TO SAUCYDATES 05/07/15... What a load of twaddle!. I guess the representative of saucydates is in fact one of the owners?... If you remember rightly it was me that came to you with the idea of moderators. You just picked the wrong ones who had no idea how to spot a scammer or quieten down arguments on the chat... I just sat in the background warning other users of who was fake & the other "moderators" didn't like it as they didn't have a clue... As for one million users. That's rubbish as well... In the eight months I was on the site less than a dozen women joined (of any age) within fifty miles of me... ninety percent of the women on there are actually men... I suggest anyone reading this with the intention of joining should check out other reviews on other sites & make their mind up. I have better things to do than justify my review so I'm done. This review as stated was from a banned member who caused arguments and disruption throughout his time on the site. With over 1,000,000 members there will always be undesirable members and we do ban people. But as we are a free site a banned member can always make a new account. It reaches a stage where it is impractical to keep banning over and over again. So as a result of the arguments caused by this reviewer we added additional features into our live chat. We made a user block 2 ways which allows people to ignore each other, we reduced the moderator count to have more moderator control and we added a moderator bash command that allows a moderator to block 2 people who continue to argue with each other. So we work hard to address issues that many other sites would not. In regard to the fake review on here this is a false claim. We have an advert within our site that allows members to click though a leave a review. I hope people reading this take a balanced and logical view. Look at our site, look at the design, speed and quality. Look at our open policy on improvements, feedback and anti scammer tools. When putting all of this together I hope you see this persons review for what it really is.
