Bisphosphonates have a good track record for reducing risk of fractures. Data shows that the side effect risk they pose is far outweighed for most osteo patients by the benefit of taking them.
Side effect risk is very low for most patients. Depending on your bone density status and history, most people are far more likely to be affected by a fracture if left untreated than they are one of the side effects if treated.
It's always the patient's call. It's wise to make that decision with the most reliable date and the guidance of an informed doctor who treats a significant number (important point) of osteo patients.
It would help if merchants with a product to sell and news media would take the time to understand the science behind osteo treatment.
Good luck to you!
