Yes there diction is horrible & everyone I have emailed with uses the exact same diction so wouldn't surprise me if they also leave their own comments.
Yes of course they're writing them. They're very concerned about negative reviews. If they put anywhere near the same effort into customer service or quality control they wouldn't have to worry about reviews!
I've had the same experience everyone else in the thread has. I had to go around and around with them to refund a product that was clearly not as described. Gave them evidence of such and followed with weeks of terrible offers (10% off a future order! Five dollar coupon!) before they saw my review here and finally tried to use the refund to extort me. After six weeks they finally refunded me, and they've written every day trying to get me to remove the review, always with bad English and that "you killed my puppy and broke my heart!" tone.
Sigh.
They seem very suspicious to me. Like why are all these husbands ordering clothes for their wives... I had a true experience with them, and it has been awful. I'm sure some people do have great experiences with them, but what I have seen will keep me and anyone I know far away from the site.
I ordered one item and it took upwards of 3 weeks to receive it but they changed the tracking info to "shipped" the day after I placed my order. I contacted them and they were very unprofessional about it. I finally got my product and the quality was bad so I wrote a bad review. They sent me several emails asking me to change it and I finally replied after 3 or 4 and said no I had a bad experience I'm not going to change my review. Next week I got another email asking me to change it and I told them yet again no. They immediately sent back begging me to change the review and I finally stated I would report them for harassment if I got another email and then they finally stopped.
I'll never use Shien again. Ordered a dress which arrived ok but fit was not as advertised. Contacted to return it. Was told to sell it or give it as a gift! Eventually I got a small percentage refunded only after I found an address close to Heathrow where I sent it recorded. Be prepared to loose your money if you buy from them. I learned the hard way!
I was not impressed with them. I returned the items I ordered due to the quality and poor sizing. I emailed repeatedly and waited and waited for a refund. It took posting a negative review on Site Jabber to get them to jump into action and process my return. I believe they are associated with other sites such as ericdress.com, twinkledeals.com, etc. I have also ordered from twinkle deals and am not impressed for the same reasons. The sizing and quality of the products from these companies is extremely poor. A good price does not always make a good value. I recommend staying away from all of them.
Yes, the 5-star reviews are fake. Not only are they all written in the same odd way, but many do not seem like they are talking about a personal experience and are instead just contradicting what the real reviewers are complaining about. These reviews contain such content as: "Great customer service, fast delivery, easy returns, great quality of merchandise", but no examples of these things. Some just say how "fun" it is to shop their site but make no remarks on the purchasing experience. Some mention buying something and loving it, but also say how great customer service and the return process is. If your item was so great, why would you have experience with customer service or returns?
