on 9/4/15If you contact them they'll give you an estimate of when your bag will be processed. Don't get too excited about it though as you'll most likely not even get enough for a trip to McDonalds. They only want you to send designer clothes but want to give you thrift store value on them. Good luck :)
Yes, they have but they're also very shady. My suggestion would be post you things a local club resale or something. They claimed they donated 2 full bags of majority designer items I sent in and incidentally I had previously sent in several bags (non designer wear) prior. They picked through what they wanted and sent the items they weren't taking back to me. This last time they claimed I didn't request my items back. I'm still disgusted. They're thieves!
I've been happy with this company. In the past 2 years I've sent them clothes (mostly designer labels), I've made about $400 which I've kept in my account (though I had the option to cash out thru PayPal) because it's fun to purchase clothes (been happy with those too). I haven't always agreed with what they've offered me, but it's better than waiting for my clothes to sell in a consignment shop or just donating them. They've always been very responsive via customer service and when I order, things ship ASAP. I recommend this company and will continue using them.
Before you send Thredup a bag, you have to activate it on the website. That way they know who it is from. Also, to be safe you should also include your e-mail inside the bag before you close it. Once they receive your bag, they should let you know that they have received it and how long it should take them to process it. If it has been months and you have not heard anything, then either you forgot to activate your bag, and they don't know who sent it in- or it got lost or stolen in the mail. I did not activate my first bag (because the company was fairly new when I sent in my first bag) and it was not clear that you were supposed to do that. I e-mailed customer service and they claimed they never received my bag, I e-mailed them 2 pictures of dresses that were included in the bag (very very nice and in good condition special occasion toddler dresses) that I felt I could have gotten some money for- but- they claimed they could not find them. Anyway, if you did activate your bag- then I would e-mail customer service- because you should have been notified of how long it was going to take them to decide your payout amount. Once they tell you your payout amount, it can either be used as credit on their website, or you can cash it out. Using it as credit is available immediately, but if you want to cash it out it isn't available for a few weeks. If you sent in four bags, I am sure you will receive something- not much- but something. And they will let you know. If it has been months now, and you are sure they should have received your bags by now- then definitely e-mail customer service. They do respond to e-mails.
Yeah. I've filled up a clean up bag and mailed it back about 5 times now and every time I've received payment... Some items they did not pay for though because they only accept certain brands/condition of clothing... If you haven't received any payment the only thing I can think of is maybe you sent in brands that they don't accept? If you're pretty sure that's not the case I'd write them personally if I were you to see what the hang up is.
