on 9/4/15They sent me an email and put the money on my thred up account so I can buy something. I was do disgusted I gave up on the whole thing
If you contact them they'll give you an estimate of when your bag will be processed. Don't get too excited about it though as you'll most likely not even get enough for a trip to McDonalds. They only want you to send designer clothes but want to give you thrift store value on them. Good luck :)
I have sent in probably 70 bag 60 bags and most of them I will say I should've gotten a lot more on I feel like they didn't take things that they should have and makes me wonder what happens to those clothes but yes I have made money it's just not very much
Yes, they have but they're also very shady. My suggestion would be post you things a local club resale or something. They claimed they donated 2 full bags of majority designer items I sent in and incidentally I had previously sent in several bags (non designer wear) prior. They picked through what they wanted and sent the items they weren't taking back to me. This last time they claimed I didn't request my items back. I'm still disgusted. They're thieves!
I received five dollar PayPal money on one item and never got paid on another. I probably gave them $1000 worth of clothes
I always try to eBay the items myself because that is the best route personally. When I sick of storing the unwanted items and they don't sell on eBay, then they go to thredUP because I just want them gone at that point. If I get a payout, then score.
I've been happy with this company. In the past 2 years I've sent them clothes (mostly designer labels), I've made about $400 which I've kept in my account (though I had the option to cash out thru PayPal) because it's fun to purchase clothes (been happy with those too). I haven't always agreed with what they've offered me, but it's better than waiting for my clothes to sell in a consignment shop or just donating them. They've always been very responsive via customer service and when I order, things ship ASAP. I recommend this company and will continue using them.
No, I sent my stuff in over a year ago and never got a penny for anything. They told me I made $13 on a full bag of beautiful clothing and a full bag of purses. This place is the biggest rip off. I actually turned them in to the BBB
Before you send Thredup a bag, you have to activate it on the website. That way they know who it is from. Also, to be safe you should also include your e-mail inside the bag before you close it. Once they receive your bag, they should let you know that they have received it and how long it should take them to process it. If it has been months and you have not heard anything, then either you forgot to activate your bag, and they don't know who sent it in- or it got lost or stolen in the mail. I did not activate my first bag (because the company was fairly new when I sent in my first bag) and it was not clear that you were supposed to do that. I e-mailed customer service and they claimed they never received my bag, I e-mailed them 2 pictures of dresses that were included in the bag (very very nice and in good condition special occasion toddler dresses) that I felt I could have gotten some money for- but- they claimed they could not find them. Anyway, if you did activate your bag- then I would e-mail customer service- because you should have been notified of how long it was going to take them to decide your payout amount. Once they tell you your payout amount, it can either be used as credit on their website, or you can cash it out. Using it as credit is available immediately, but if you want to cash it out it isn't available for a few weeks. If you sent in four bags, I am sure you will receive something- not much- but something. And they will let you know. If it has been months now, and you are sure they should have received your bags by now- then definitely e-mail customer service. They do respond to e-mails.
I found I had to ask for the money; however one must apply to PayPal to get the money which is very cumberso'me for me. It hAs been very frustrating.
Yeah. I've filled up a clean up bag and mailed it back about 5 times now and every time I've received payment... Some items they did not pay for though because they only accept certain brands/condition of clothing... If you haven't received any payment the only thing I can think of is maybe you sent in brands that they don't accept? If you're pretty sure that's not the case I'd write them personally if I were you to see what the hang up is.
Try contacting their customer service. They usually don't answer but it's worth a shot. You should have received an email from them stating that they processed your bags and what they gave you for each bag.
I have been sending bags for a while and have used what I make to buy stuff and have a credit now and will cash out and see what happens! I don't expect a lot of money and depends on the quality of your stuff, must be realistic. Not going to make a lot of money...
Contact them if you have no answer. They do tell you what they've accepted, but it's really not worth sending them anything. You are better off donating your stuff. The tax write-off is better than the few dollars they pay you for the tons of clothing you send them.
They pay, not much. Maybe $2 an outfit. It is in your three up account and then to request a pay pal payout it's manual with a -0% PayPal fee. It's not great, but I guess better than nothing?
I think they need to rethink the values for clothes. I've always gotten a response from them, though.
No. Horribleness
Good luck! I'm sure you'll wind up eventually with a whopping $10 credit! If you want an actual payout of cash, you will pay a percentage of your paltry earnings! Mist likely you will use that credit to buy junk from their site.
II will be out of the office on Thursday September 3rd, 2015; I will not return until Tuesday 8th 2015. If you need an immediate reply please contact my supervisor Dr. Fisher.
They give you credit towards a purchase from them...
That's strange the only Thing I can think of is your stuff didn't qualify and you didn't choose the return option?
You need to contact their customer service if you haven't already!
