Not so great reviews about selling. Getting ready to send a bagful, but now I am re-thinking. Is it really worth it?

If your clothes are name-brand and in good condition you will not get what they're worth from thredUP. Find a consignment store or go on eBay and sell them yourself. I wish I'd given mine to charity, no need to fill thredUPs pockets.

Do not send them anything. They are totally deceitful! You will get pennies for what you send in... if that. I only wish I had this information before I sent in over $1200 worth of designer clothing some with tags on it only to receive $58. It also took almost a month for them to price my bag. Total ripoff! DONT DO IT!

Do NOT do NOT do NOT give them your nice clothing. They will STEAL it from you. Things that warrant a good price tag should go to a consignment shop. Those you're willing to sell, use eBay, those you just want to "off load", donate to consignment yourself. You will feel better about it, I promise.

This place is a rip off don't send them anything. I didn't get one penny for 2 bags full of beautiful clothing and purses.

Its a crap shoot. Never again!

I would take them to a consignment shop, I sent in a huge bag of label brand clothes and got nothing!

If you think your clothes are worth a lot, then take the time to sell them yourself individually by piece to get what you want out of them. If you have some decent pieces and just want the ease of someone else doing the work, then send them to thredUp, with the knowledge that they are running a business so you will not get the sticker price you want. If you were planning to donate things anyway, then why not get a couple bucks out of old clothes that have served their purpose? I love the idea of upcycling and the fact that these clothes will not be garbage.

Don't do it. If you do, don't expect much or anything at all. I also agree with Sarah. I've gone back to donating clothing that I couldn't otherwise sell in the hopes that someone out there can use it who might not be able to afford to buy clothing or shoes.

Don't bother. I got 80 cents for a whole bag of good condition name brand clothes.

I would DEFINITELY not send them anything. I sent a whole bag of clothes all in excellent condition and they returned almost 90% of them (with me paying the return shipping costs) One item they sent back was a Kate Spade purse in it's original dustcover. In the end, I got $2.98 for a whole lot of hassle. I would NEVER EVER use them again. Take them to a consignment shop and save yourself the grief!
