I started using this app for almost 2 months now, paying my purchases always through it. Interestingly the highest amounts does not even appear in the list. I did not received any cashback after my other purchases so I have no idea what is the point using it apart from them collecting data on me. I don't recommend it.

Two holidays with TUI have followed the exact process, but haven't moved to payable. One is over a year in process. The other over 11 months. Lots of being fobbed off, and little action by Topcashback. This is a couple of hundred pounds in total. TUI have managed to pay via Quidco since, so it appears that they aren't flooded with transactions at their end. TCB are a commission based organisation. Surely the bigger payments mean more money for them? Really disappointing performance.

I've used this service for some years now, out of all of my cashback purchases over 70% of them have been declined.
With a gross profit in 2022 of £27million. It is my honest belief that TopCashback aren't entirely honest and are pocketing peoples cashback for themselves.

They'll then say it takes 8 months to investigate.

Been happy over the years with Topcashback.co.uk but not so sure at moment. Had a nonpayment it should have shown up within 48 hours but didn't so I have made a claim and have now been told that i will need to wait until August for it to be sorted. Really I think that someone thinking, if it takes that long to look into that may be the client, will give up and forget about the claim but sadly I won't as its worth nearly £50

The reason we hold back claims until the stay is to speed up the process for everyone. If we were to submit before the stay the retailer could only do half a job at working out if we're eligible for the cashback and so would have to look at it a second time and so it would hold everything up. It's for this reason we submit a claim after the stay so the retailer can check the purchase itself met the terms and that we were eligible for the money we'd pass over to you as cashback.
I hope this explanation helps to understand why we do it in this way and why we don't submit claims like this until after the stay.

It's disappointing to hear this feedback. TopCashback was created to help save people as much money as possible - both high and low values. We never profit or make money when cashback is declined whether the amount that is declined is small or high as we only pass negative news onto you if we're told we're not eligible for the commission payment that we'd be giving you in the form of cashback.
There are reasons we are not found eligible for cashback - whether this is because the retailer terms haven't been met or if the commission has been paid elsewhere to another company. Commission going elsewhere is normally the declined reason that causes the most upset as we're not told who has earned the commission instead of us. However, it's usually preventable which is why we do have a newly launched tracking tips page within our help section. I would encourage you to check these help as they've been designed to help avoid our members from getting declined cashback. At the same, we are working with the wider industry to ensure that tracking is as robust as both you and we expect it to be.

A lot of hassle for very little benefit. Wasted 8 months waiting for £150 cash back and it got declined for no reason by the retailer. Unable to even contact Topcashback as their support ticket form is so specific, you can't just click'other issue' Really angry. Total waste of time

That said it sounds like a declined claim is needed so we can go to the retailer and ask why they refused to award us the cashback. If you do need help raising that please do reach out.
We really don't want to decline cashback and the only reason we'll do is if we've been told the commission due to us has been refused.

They are very quick to advertise a good cashback rate but they frequently do not track. And when you submit a claim for them you often get told: the merchant has taken the decision to decline your claim on this occasion because your 'Transaction cannot be traced'. This despite providing dates, order numbers etc. Very poor service. Use Quidco rather and avoid the headache.
Also, their referral bonus system is very poor - you refer someone and they sign up but only when they have made a whole bunch of purchases do you receive anything. I say that but despite my referrals I am yet to actually receive a penny from these. All in the name of making them profit. Honestly, dont bother.

With all cashback sites, commission earned can only be passed on. When a purchase cannot be traced it either mean an incorrect reference has been provided to us, or when checking against orders we're eligible for commission for the order was not found.
We want our members to prevent situations like this and will do all we can to help prevent it with the tracking advice we give.
In regards to referrals, we do have a £10 of eligible payable cashback threshold for these to progress. This is not dissimilar to other referral schemes on other sites and ensures we can offer the large referral rates that we do.

Most of the cash back tracks & is eventually paid. However it's frustrating when transactions with certain companies offering higher amounts at the time of sale don't track, & there's no follow up even when the missing purchases s have been reported. Topcashback seems extremely slow at resolving such issues, & sometimes seems to make no effort to do so.
I made three purchases over four months ago from L'Occitane using Topcashback vouchers which are still unresolved. I made the purchases solely because of the offers. It's a scam that this company advertised cash back but doesn't pay up.

With claims we do have to use a wider process to get these followed up. That said we keep close attention to the time it takes for retailers to respond and do take proactive action as much as we can to bring claims to a close sooner, rather than later.
If a claim is not successful, it means we have earned no money for the purchase and this is the only reason we also decline the money that we'd be passing on to you. The key for us is to aid our members understand any declines and to help ensure they are avoided in the future.

A few years ago the site was great, cash back was earned and paid back quite quickly, but now, the wheels seem to be falling off. My last few orders have been fraught with problems and the time taken for them to "investigate"them is very poor. I have offered to send them the receipt for the items purchased but am told I have to wait 3 months like everyone else. How on earth can it take 3 months to verify a purchase? I suppose so they can keep the money a bit longer...
Rather use the cash back on your debit card as Topcashback is starting to resemble a scam.

If a cashback purchase doesn't show in your account is pending what it means is that the retailer can't see that we lead to the sale that took place.
It therefore needs to go down a different route, called a missing cashback claim. These get batched up and sent to the retailer's cashback administrator every couple of weeks and then they review them.
These administrators (known as affiliate networks) work with a huge number of retailers and work with a lot of partners like TopCashback so the amount they have to review every batch is considerable. This is why it takes them on average 12 weeks to get back to us.
While I can't promise every retailer replies within that time, what I can promise is we have a large team dedicated to ensuring these claims are resolved speedily and if you would like me to look into something specific please do reach out to me at contact@topcashback.co.uk
Of course, the best way to avoid these long time scales is to get purchases tracking right away without the need for a claim. The best way to do is us by clearing cookies and cache just before logging in and disabling ad blockers. This way the retailer and their cashback administrator can more easily see us as the reason you made a purchase and therefore award us the cashback.

Come to withdraw my first payout but their system tells me they're keeping £5 because of "Plus Membership". This was never explained when I joined. I've logged a complaint ("Support Ticket") then tried to withdraw my net amount in the meantime. Have added my bank details but the option to withdraw is not showing. They stink.

We do our very best to ensure it's clear from joining that there are two levels of membership. This has been further enhanced very recently too, ensuring that members fully know and can easily choose which membership level is for them. While Plus Membership gives you lots of perks such as higher rates and tell a friend rates etc we know it may not be for everyone. You have a 30 day grace period to choose whether it's for you but if that's missed our Customer Service team will be happy to help which includes the possibility of switching early if that's what you want to do.
Once you add details to your account, these need confirming but once you have confirmed you made a change to your account by clicking the link you get through email, you'll be able to payout.

Tried to use it for transactions, followed all the rules and bought my insurance straight away after clicking the button and it says it's been tracked. Amount never uplifted from 0. Have had to open 4 cases with them as it never works and no response from customer service either. Waste of time

The most dishonest and morally corrupt company. I had made few transactions with retailers and suddenly they closed my account stating there was abuse. They never explained to me what they meant by abuse etc. Don't bother to do business with them who have no respect and regards for fairness and who are dishonest from the core. Use Quidco instead.

TopCashback is such a useful site. Every little penny saved adds up and pays out on your favourite brands.
You just need to remember to check through their site first when you're looking for something, and then to ensure that when you click on it, or get timed out, that you are still on the site when you actually make the purchase, I've missed out a few times by not keeping my eye on that ball.

The refund that I expected to result since 04.02.2019 has been declined. They asked me for a ticket. I sent the ticket printout. They have stalled me for 2 years and they deducted membership fees.
If I bought this ticket from a travel agency, I could get a discount, but I trusted topcashback and wanted to get more discounts. Topcashback for me is a big disappointment.

While most sites offer cashback there are still quite a few that don't i.e Aldi etc most of the time to purchases show pretty much straight away which is good but confirmed payments can take up to 3months to become payable some shorter as long as your not dependent on payment then definitely worth signing up another plus is to convert money into vouchers which you get extra bonuses and cashback as well overall happy with this site

Worthless service that feels like a scam. You get notifications instantly of the amount of cash back you earn on each showing you the total amount of accumulated cash back plus £15 cash back bonus to entice you to keep using it then. But app seems to forget the cash back part of the business.
Money sits on the account for a ridiculously amount of time and just before the payment is due for withdrawal the payment is declined with no explanation and money accumulated is never withdrawn. And I have still yet to be the £15 bonus for 12 months and it just sits there, while they charge you a £5 fee for doing nothing. It seems like a data mining scam, selling your data for money and offering you nothing in return. Will delete the app as I got it through work.

The money will stay at pending for a little bit, that's while the retailer checks whether we're eligible for the commission we share with you as cashback. The time will vary from weeks to a few months in the case of large long term purchases like holidays booked in advance and long term insurance policies.
Due to the amount of payout methods we offer, we want you to choose how best to withdraw this and so it's totally up to you when you with to withdraw this and the £5 deduction you mention is totally optional. Our enhanced members with this deduction get higher cashback rates and other bonuses, those who don't want this can switch any time they want after joining. This can be done via the membership section of your account.

I feel you get offered some of the best cashback rates in the marketplace from hundreds of businesses, retailers or other service providers.
I do however feel TopCashback needs to do more market research in relation to what they are offering, because there are frequent occasions whereby competitors such as Quidco are offering enhanced rates to those who choose to purchase through them.
It is also disappointing no cashback is offered for either Amazon or Superdrug purchases and these are two household name providers.

I took out AA cover through topcashback back in november 2022. After 2 weeks there was no indication of my cash back so opened a complaint ticket with top cash back. I was told i had to wait 3 months before they could chase the cashback. The AA only offer a 28 day cooling off period to cancel a membership so this 3 month wait took me past that cut off. Eventually Topcashback declined my request without any explanation.
I submitted a message to Topcashback asking why they told me the AA declined my request, I had spoken to the AA and their representative told me they have nothing to do with it. Topcashback then said as a customer I should not be contacting the supplier and the "third party" between themselves and the AA had made the decision and their system is designed to be "accurate". They also informed me they are not regulated by anyone so there is no option to complain and for them to be held accountable.

It's disappointing to hear your cashback was not deemed as eligible for the purchase made. With AA and most other insurance policies we have to allow a number of months to pass before we submit the claim - this is to the retailer can check if the policy remains in place. The same reason is why once cashback tracks it remains as pending for a little while.
There are a number of reasons why the purchase made wouldn't be eligible for cashback - these reasons are outlined in the terms of the retailer and so I would double check there first. If the purchase made did meet all of these teams and we were still not deemed as eligible it likely means that we were not deemed as the site that led to your purchase being made. While many members don't need to take additional steps to help us be seen as this, there are steps you can take to help ensure this happens. These steps include clear cookies and cache before logging in, disabling ad blockers and making sure any open tabs in the background are closed.
