“TRUSTPILOT CONTINUES TO DISREGARD REAL REVIEWS.”

Magda F.

In the 'Mail on Sunday' Boots offer a free token for a £27.50 face serum. I cut the coupon out an was waiting for our local [large] store to open at 11.00 a.m. They didn't have any of this item in stock. Tried 6 other stores and same result; not one had had any in stock. Tried posting on Trustpilot and as usual, review rejected. Reported on social media and found that other people too had not been able to find any stock available. To date 14 people have tried posting on Trustpilot and every review has been rejected! Trustpilot is rapidly declining in having any connection to what Companies are really like. Sitejabber is now in the ascendency for its impartiality. Keep up the good work.

Right now it's just been used by a ton of big companies writing depreciating reviews about smaller scale companies.
Recently one of my bigger client company employees wrote w bunch of reviews about a smaller client of myself as their clients and due to this the new company lost a substantial amount of money. It should be more rigid, the platform is easily manipuated.
I mean if a company doesn't even have 10 clients now but the reviews there exceeded the numbers.
Such a shame.

Trustpilot used to be trustworthy. Now in its spurt for growth its censoring postings. If you write a 3 or less starred review you're blocked from any further postings, even if they're 5 star ones. This is leading to nothing but 4/5 star reviews for every business. If you use Trustpilot always look at the 1 or 2 star reiews for a truer picture of what any company is like.

I've given up. My genuine reviews don't stay up. I provide evidence they are genuine and they get removed or sometimes I'm not even asked for evidence. They are too quick to remove negative reviews but I bet they don't remove any possibly fake positive reviews from friends, family and staff. Do they even ask for proof when a review is positive? It's just no good any more. I hope this site doesn't go the same way

After posting about six negative reviews over a couple of years they banned me from posting any more reviews at all. They only want positive reviews after a while.

Trustpilot started blocking me, accusing me of being a bot. Will not reply to email.

I used Trustpilot for a few years with no problems. Then they suddenly accused me of being a bot and will not let me login. I tried a second email account with the same problem. Maybe they didn't like me posting negative reviews for Squareup, which they may have a financial interest in?

While removing reviews you worked hard on is frustrating, at least they tell you they do. Deleted my account immediately after and found this site. Who cares if it's smaller.

Trustpilot are removing genuine real expensive reviews of Payoneer bank while allowing fake paid reviews to remain.

Trustpilot are a bias marketing platform not a trustworthy review platform.

Trustpilot removed negative my review of Trustpilot, saying I had to prove I used their services, I need to provide proof, a receipt or paperwork. Thid is impossible, but when asked how and said this was my proof, I heard no more. Trustpilot is a scam, negative reviews get removed if the reviewed service or company complains. Only positive reviews are allowed.

Tip for consumers:
Do not trust Trustpilot. They tell lies.

I have written countless reviews and all have been deleted but 3.

About a month ago I wrote a review that was flagged, I provided customer ID and screenshots and it was approved and marked "verified". A month later I got a sudden email that it was removed.

Terrible website that approves countless fake reviews from new accounts without history and removes already Verified reviews.

Asking customer to provide documentation, verifying the review (by adding Verified badge) and then removing it later as unauthentic is quite disrespectful towards review writers.

I had to post a very negative review about wholesale2b. I was honest and thus had my review removed by trustpilot claiming I made racial discriminatory remarks. One of the many complaints I had with wholesale2b is how they out source there work to India. Which is why wait times take 12-24 hours. For that I was flagged apparently. My argument was that in the business world everyone knows time is money. And should a problem arise with an order or customer and you have to wait 12-24 hours for a response you could lose that customer or get bad reviews. And yet trustpilot removed my review! I also read on many forums how trustpilot will remove negative posts made on companies which I firmly believe. Because for every negative review on wholesale2b there is two to three positive reviews there after with next to no good information. Only words such as " it's a great company good experience". Weak reviews! Trustpilot is not reliable. Its a scam website that works against honest reviews that take time to formulate a true experience.

Tip for consumers:
Knowing that Trustpilot gets paid to remove reviews and is biased would of prevented me from using their hypocritical service for reviews.

I have used Trustpilot before but lately they seem to flag every one of my genuine reviews. They even deleted a review recently I had written years ago. How can a review from years ago suddenly be problematic now? With at least one company, I have seen some positive reviews on Trustpilot that look suspicious to me. It feels that it has started to become a website where dishonest organisations are able to make themselves look good. I hope I am wrong.

I never thought being thankful for good service and leaving positive review is such horrible experience. After few days I received email that my review was removed. To approve my review they requested id and order invoice from shop with my address and etc. so I can prove that I'm real person? This is a joke, I'm not going to share my private data with shady company. To post a review it will take a weeks trip messaging forward and backward with trustpilot support. Don't waste your time on Trustpilot.

The customer service dont read your emails or check evidence sent, they reach their own decision then come to you after. They allow unscrupulous people to leave fake reviews and abuse and support them in doing so. I do not recommend having an account.

The biggest laughing stock on the internet

Their integrity team constantly remove bad reviews yet allow fake 5 star reviews to stay up. They message you saying they're confident they've made the right decision.

When you reply with actual evidence, they just ignore you and simply suspend your account. A shambles of a company only interested in making money from businesses, hence they let them do as they please despite their protestations about not tolerating fake reviews.

Just look at their own page if you want a laugh. They have 200,000 reviews and they're rated excellent. They pump in dozens of 5 star reviews daily, most of which don't even make sense yet are allowed to stay up

Honest but negative reviews are easily challenged by companies who interact with this lot. How else would Webuyanycar and Music Magpie get such strong reviews. Answer, they're not the full picture. Look elsewhere for honest reviews of companies that offer poor customer service.

Tip for consumers:
Just don’t bother and look elsewhere for reviews.

I went onto the review page of trustpilot to complain about companies leaving fake 5 star reviews for themselves only to see trustpilot are at it themselves. Talk about conflict of interest. Why would they want great feedback for themselves?

Their job is to let people comment on how good/bad companies are yet their own page is full of invited reviews all 5 star, most don't even make sense.

If you do leave a bad review companies just get it removed. I got a review taken down as they wanted proof I had a contract with the tv company concerned. How I am supposed to show that? It's free to air. I'm sure had It been a 5 star review it would still be up

I have had a bad experience with a business and tried to leave a negative but fair review on Trustpilot. Despite providing the proof of order requested by Trustpilot they have still not shown my review. There appear to be quite a few other 'hidden' reviews. How can you trust a site which is only showing positive reviews?

Tip for consumers:
Personally I would not bother using them again.

I've written many reviews. I posted two reviews for the Nationwide Building Society. There have been many negative reviews of them in recent weeks. My two reviews were sincere. And yet Trustpilot have accused me of doing something wrong. At first my account was suspended and now deleted. The reviews were checked by Trustpilot before they were posted! I'm deeply suspicious of their motives. I'm 64 years old and am amazed and sickened by the unilateral, heavy-handed behaviour of Trustpilot who took action without providing evidence of their accusations. Imo Trustpilot are not as trustworthy as they claim.

Tip for consumers:
That they're not as neutral as they claim.

Cannot be trusted. The amount of 5 star reviews which are either fake or have been left due to the offer of an incentive is laughable

Leave a bad review for a company that pays extra however and it'll get taken offline. Trustpilot say they don't delete bad reviews, they just take it offline which is just the same but sounds better.

I would say most of the bad reviews are truthful and the 5 stars very suspicious. That's not how it should be

Tip for consumers:
That paying companies rule the roost despite what trustpilot claim

Trustpilot are committed to collecting funds over real reviews. They encourage negative reviews to get companies to pay for their positive review process.

It's an industry that is very manipulated and needs to be regulated.

I like reading the reviews on Trustpilot, it sort of helps get a fuller picture of the company I'm considering buying from. However, there's always a good chance that someone's just trolling, or posting fake reviews. Also, I tried to register a few times, and it seems the site is down for that sort of thing last few days.

I wrote a review about silksilky being bad and it seems the review site trustpilot might be even worse. They asked for my order# and I needed to open up an account with them and have my photo ID uploaded or my review would be deleted. They might need my bank account number too or find it. Good lord trustpilot is bad.
