on 2/1/11Go ahead and give me your email address, I lost my jump drive that I stored a lot of the information on, but I do have some of the files. It's been over a year, but I know I have the files somewhere. And I assure you, everything is as I said, and if I can find my notes I will send you the names of the people I spoke with.
OK, I will drop you a private message with an email address, check your mailbox.
I'm also interested because neither the FTC nor the FBI are the people who are supposed to be responsible for this - it's a Homeland Security matter and I'm surprised that there wasn't some interdepartmental hassle over getting the information to the right people.
I did check the FTC, who can issue a report number but don't actually take any action on an individual case other than to file it in a database, and I couldn't find anything genuinely useful at the FBI website or the Homeland Security website either. The attitude of everyone seems to be, feel free to report this and we'll file it, but that's probably as far as it's going to go. Which means if you did find a way through all this crap it's even more remarkable.
