It's a monster scam. Avoid at all costs. I've rented several properties that ended up going through Vacasa - despite my best efforts to avoid them. You can't find out that it's Vacasa until after they have your money. It's a criminal enterprise.

No customer relations. Don't expect to hear from them... at all. Rolling the dice when you book with them.

Rude, condescending, and completely unresponsive to their rental contracts. The sad part is most attorneys won't take a case to sue them unless you have about $50k to spend to recover a tenth of that in lost rental costs. To quote one I talked to, "The juice ain't worth the squeeze", attorney language for the fact you'll spend way more than you'll recover. These rental Neanderthals like Vacasa know this and don't care.

They are property oriented, not consumer oriented. Had I known I was not getting a service, I would not have booked in the first place. It is their responsibility, and the Propert Owner responsibility, to have UPDATED info on the site, prior to accepting payment and then saying, oops, this isn't available!

As far as I know it is not a scam but for us they charged an undisclosed fee and they did not provide fair and helpful service. I would never rent a property run by Vacasa again

Complete scam! It's a Ponzi scheme and they are not accountable for what they do to your property. These are the most atrocious people I have ever encountered anywhere. The public needs to know!

They are poorly run, unresponsive, and constantly offering nothing but lip service to renters. In my experience, the problems I reported may be causing the owner and/or his neighbors problems due to plumbing issues. The unit I rented, I have used for many years through Coldwell Banker until Vacasa bought them and raised the price about $1000/wk with no improvements and poor maintenance. Most of the plumbing fixtures are no longer adequately attached and several do not function properly. Currently I am gathering information and evidence for a breach of contract/trust lawsuit for ruining my vacation. Avoid these people at all cost...

I, too, am surprised by these negative reviews. During my rentals, I have had to contact Vacasarentals about an issue I have found. The response was quick. I have found the rentals to be as advertised, though some of the cleaning was not to my expectations/standards However, that was quickly remedied. Much more convenient for our stays than a motel. We were able to prepare our own meals, and most were pet friendly.

I am completely surprised by these reviews. I am both an owner and renter, using Vacasa, and have had only good experiences. They use 3rd party booking aggregators just like other short-term rental companies. I have found them accountable and all the fees are clearly shown when you contract with them.

Vacasa is a legit company that scams people. I will not rent from them again. Fool me once.
