Additionally, when they automatically charged me, they tried to charge me for a whole year's membership, over 600 US$. Luckily I did not have that much in that account. I only wanted a one month subscription 79 US$. In my opinion, this is attempted theft by not informing their customers of actions they are taking which directly leads to customers' financial loss.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use them. There are more reputable companies off the same and better services.
They automatically charged me because I opted out of their "marketing" emails (several each day, and the promised email telling you that your free trial period has ended is NOT a marketing email, it is a billing email and should not be subject to the same rules. This is sneaky and thieving) and when I went to cancel my account, none of their links worked. All I have received from their "support" is corporate rubbish.
I feel I have been lied to and treated like s**t.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid
I use Woorank at the agency that I work for. It saves me lots of time when pitching to new clients as it does a lot of the legwork that I would usually need to do manually using lots of other tools. They are always adding new features (most recently the Site Crawl tool) and updating existing tools. Well worth the money imo!
Tip for consumers:
They have a free trial so you can try before you buy. Just remember to cancel before the end of the trial to avoid being charged if you don't plan to continue using the service.
I recently got a trial after seeing a lot of WooRank advertisements, I tried cancelling after 5-6 hours of trial expiry but they already had charged my card and are not willing to refund even though I'm not using its services.
Tried contacting the support team but it was of no use. I understand that you've got the terms and conditions but a company not willing to refund on genuine cases is not really appreciated. I saw a post on Google that they have 48 hours refund policy but their team apologized and mentioned it's an old post are sorry if that was misleading.
$200 for not using the services is ridiculous.
This review is meant to warn & alert people who may be looking to try woorank.com for their SEO services. Beware of the free trial.
I signed up for the free trial to test the service out. The trial is for 14 days. You have to provide Credit Card information in order to start the trial and cancel before the trial period ends to ensure that you are not billed for a plan. I did not get what I was looking for from the service during the trial period. I cancelled my trail before the 14 day period expired and got confirmation of the cancellation. Couple of days later I was charged $179 for one of their plans.
I DID NOT SUBSCRIBE to any plan and upon checking my login the account status was cancelled.
There I wrote 3 emails to woorank regarding this issue (*******@woorank.com) and there has been no reply to date. I have since launched a complaint with paypal and notified my bank.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
Hi, Trevor -
We communicated on Facebook and have already issued a refund for your payment. As it states in our Terms of Service, you are solely responsible for properly cancelling your account. An email or phone request to cancel your account is not considered cancellation.
I'm very sorry that you were disappointed with our Trial Period; please note that we sent several emails during and after your trial that went unanswered. I hope we are able to have more streamlined communication if you ever decide to use our services again.
I needed to find an alternative SEO audit tool to the handful I am already using to try to gauge the accuracy of the tools used today and I stumbled on WooRank.com. The interface is very user friendly and the data is alright but it just wasn't quite as insightful a tool overall as ahrefs.com and semrush.com, and thus not worth paying for.
Initially, I was very put off by being required to enter a credit card prior to starting my free trial (which they validated with a held charge immediately) but did so anyway. Where I was shocked was when my trial was coming to an end, I had to go through the process of cancelling to avoid having them charge me the $50 for continuing to use their service. It was the most seamless, easy to find, 2 click process that I hav ever gone through.
It may be odd to see a business review that winds up being a 4 star review by a user that cancelled the service, but the value that I apply now to a business that doesn't make cancelling their service like running a flaming gauntlet, is very high and I certainly appreciate the approach that WooRank has taken here.
