on 8/13/16You can't tell directly, you can infer when their profile discloses their age at the time of writing "I'm 27" - but their age within the Basic Info is years older.
I've paid for the premium messaging upgrade - a few extra pounds - but when talking to someone nearby, the chat box is not all green - I don't think they can reply.
The only person I've spoken to is over 100km away.
If you search for "Zoosk consumeraffairs.com" you'll see a plethora of 1 star reviews - and see they're not accredited by the site.
Seems to me they're deliberately generating views and "want to chat" messages to keep you more engaged than you would be otherwise, and it also seems that the PM upgrade doesn't even work when trying to talk to local users.
IMO it's a total con, a consumer rip off. They don't want to provide a service to help people meet up - they want to cream money off singles and keep them using the site.
It's worse than free sites, waste of £25 quid.
STEER CLEAR OF ZOOSK
Never pay for coins. Play the carousel to get free coins if you feel the need to use them. I agree with Arthur, a lot is at longer distance and one has to look a lot and take a lot of time. You really dont need to pay for coins. I have used this site for about several years and found about eight I took out and of the 8,2 i dated several weeks. Nothing turned out. It may take one to 3 years looking very hard and a lot of time. Very few find one in short time. A lot of obstacles. Dont keep buying dinners with everyone you meet.It will get exspensive. A drink or a coffee shop first time meet ups. Again, it takes lots of your time if you want to help sooner to find. It won't be easy to find a good one as to match you both in a love connection. Good luck.
No. When you go on the "carousel" thing it will ask No, maybe, or Yes. Eah time you click on the 'maybe' or 'yes' icon you are awarded a point and thy may be accumulated, no limit. Has nothing to do wif you may or may not contact them. Contact comes with the paid subscription. The only thing the points are good for is sending someone a "gift." The gifts are kind of useless but may be a good ice breaker.
It is a waste of money. They say someone wants to meet you. Buy coins and meet them. So I looked up the person that wanted to meet me. I was able to then text her for free and she never answered. This happened 5 times. I heard they have people who say they want to meet you but are on the payroll when you buy coins. Just do your searches and pick who you want. I met many nice people and some not so nice but I never paid anything except my subscription. Most people who want to meet you are far away... Search close to home. You will be happier
