It was easy to shop and check out, the only complaint I have is that a promotional code which was featured across the top of the main page came up as invalid when entered into the box. It was a seamless experience aside from that.

I got multiple emails at the time my offer expired. One said verify payment, the next said offer expired with no action by seller. Customer service coudln't help me determine whether it looked like the seller actually accepted and it was a CC issue, or if seller let it expire. Boo.

I have been trying to place an order with 1stDibs for the past 5 working days. There is a technical problem within the 1stDibs website, whereby, despite my bank already confirming over the phone with me that the 'pending' amount showing at £297 (private offer, which has been agreed with the seller) has been authorised by themselves, the 1stDibs website is unable to process the order at their end. Instead, every time I select 'complete order', when I'm logged into my 1stDibs account, the same red error message flashes up on my screen, telling that there is a 'system error' and that I should let 1stDibs support team know about it. I have, quite a few times now. I've now had to cancel my original order on the 1stDibs website, as it was showing as 'pending' twice over the weekend in my bank balance - despite still showing as 'a failed order' on the 1stDibs website. So an amount of £297 that should have been showing as 'pending', was actually showing as £594 'pending' in total, to 1stDibs.
The site is exceptionally informative, easy to navigate, and the seller did make me a nice offer; however, when he did not reply to my questions after over 24 hours, I felt compelled to half-blindly purchase, given the strong interet of other buyers. This has left me nervous., for I am buying for my sister...
Your system got hung up in the payment screen. I had to refresh, Then it went to review where it told me something was still wrong and some of my information was wrong or missing. Ihad to resubmit again. Then the confirmation page took longer than normal to load it loaded black scrren the empty screen the populated screen - NEEDS WORK!

Answer: It's a real company. But as I have learned by experience their policies and buyer protection are a scam. They mark up prices and sell high. You over spend and no way to get a refund. I'm highly disappointed in their ethics. Don't buy, look elsewhere.
