“Not very accurate”

Rose R.
8/24/22

While it is lovely they have a listed forecast for most places (or at least one nearby), they are often off by by up to 4° Centigrade in places like Alice Springs, Australia. A considerable over/underestimation. After some weeks I've become accustomed to re-jigging their forecasts based on my experience. I suspect they have no software that let's them know there forecasting is very inaccurate. Wind speeds are out as well though direction is good. The humidity thing is a complete joke in this country. Don't download the app but if you want forecasting for far-flung places, just bookmark the pages & adjust for their numbers related in accuracies.

Do not trust this company they can't forecast weather more then two hours ahead. The 45 day forecast is just pie in the sky useless

Never accurate about Nicaragua, always inaccurate! Never had a day when it was correct! It's a tropical country so always says humid and showers, totally wrong!

I use the app on my phone and it`s rather precise. Almost always shows a bit lower temperature than it is in fact. Not very good on the one hand, but on the other - can get you ready for some unexpected cold.

Change for change sake. Dreadful result. Users are now suffering from an illogical format, slowed speed, and inability to find the most basic weather details. What on earth motivated this change? The previous format was streamlined and user-friendly. This is not. Plus all of the ads simply gum up the works and make this a ridiculous app to use. Absolutely ridiculous.

There's thunder and pouring rain yet accuweather claims intermittent clouds. Is going by my gps location too. Therefore, it should say the same as weather.com with thunderstorms and rain. I have accuweather automatically on my smartphone and it's wrong 6 out of 10 times and that's being nice. I go by weather.com. It's more accurate.

The new update is awful. Why... when I go into the app. Does it automatically show me the next day's weather? The website is disorganized. Why can't I find the extended forecast anymore? The radar cannot possibly be right. Half the time it's raining here but the radar shows all clear. Or my weather will show partly sunny but it's pouring rain. I wish I could figure out how to have different weather app on my phone!

Whoever designed/runs this website should consider another job. Doesn't work half of the time. Unreliable. In this day and age w awesome technology why is it that you can notvmanage to keep a simple info based mobile app functioning? Speaks volumes about the company..

It's such a pathetic app. Showing thunderstorm on my app whereas it's sunny outside, n wen it shows no probability of rain it's raining since hours. The most annoying forecasting no doubt after IMD itself. Better shut off then giving totally unreliable forecasts.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use this app if u do then pls don't depend on it et all

This is the crapiest (sh#$@est) app. Very hard to use. Very unreliable. Radar is worthless. Can't even look at hourly forecast cause it doesn't work decent. Just frustrates you. I would give this a negative ten if I could. Piece of crap!

I once wrote a negative review of another weather forecast provider (Wunderground) because they'd lost their accuracy and added so much advertising, they just quite frankly "sucked!". So I searched for and finally found Accuweather. I was so impressed by their UK weather accuracy, I won't use anything else now. I use it on my iPhone and my laptop. I'd say they were pretty well 99% accurate for the past year, so they get my vote. I've planned lots of outdoor work on the strength of their forecasting and it hasn't ended badly yet. Not too many adverts either, so give them a try.

Too many ads. Pop ups are so annoying. Takes to long. One thing these idiots newbu techs don't get is every time you have to hit another button you lose customers. Get your act together. Change is not always innovation.

Dumbest people around. 2 years ago, AW eliminated Surface Analysis (frontal maps), now average temp on their monthly forecast maps, etc. Someone there thinks that stupid people need simple, stupid weather info and more ads to entertain them. Go to Intellicast for REAL weather!

These guys are so consistently wrong that it's amazing they are still around. The best thing you could do I guess is look at their forecast and expect the total opposite. If they are forecasting a beautiful sunny day you better take an unbrella.

I don't want to see your ads. I just wanted to see the radar and by giving inaccurate info because I use an ad blocker. That is just being a scum bag profiteer, not really interested in being a public service. They want to get rich off cramming ads down our throats.

I registered to use Windows VPS services and immediately was charged with $12 for service which was still not working. Turns out I had to provide them my phone number which is weird way to confirm your identity, but I did it. Well they supposed to send me OTP which have never arrived of course and my dollars were gone anyway.

I started chat with some David who wasn't able to send OTP and whole bunch of support team members were not able too. I spend 2 hours chasing the stupid OTP which again never arrived.

I asked for my money back and they returned them pretty soon.

However, if your service requires OTP why don't you check where it OTP could be sent? I am not living in US and I assume when you take my personal information you would deliver something. Nothing.

Don't even bother with them its just waste of time.

Funny part in all of this it they send you link to write a review for their services and all of their links (5) refuse to publish the review. :D

Yet another example of some marketer full or themselves and the primacy of their overinflated opinion of their greatness. The newest app is so bad it is a shell of its former self. Only 10 locations. No portrait mode. Annoying day bar on fight. No 3 day graph of temperature and rain. Nice way to f— up a good, maybe a great tool. Congrats.

Unusable. A flurry of ads that pop up in your way so you cannot avoid clicking on them by accident.it is impossible to detect the info that you are looking for through the full screen unrelenting pop ups and moving ads. Absurd... wheres the weather?

Sh*tty app run by a sh*tty human being. Lifetime Premium account purchased years ago no longer works, premium features are blocked behind a new 'pay wall' that I would have to purchase, or 're-purchase'. Apparently the Accuweather CEO/Owner needs to look up the definition of 'lifetime'.

There are better app options, virtually any one of them would be better than this.

Good luck Accuweather, good luck at life!

This should be the true name. They are wrong a lot... today for High Point, North Carolina they have the temperature at 84 and its bust and 90゚. I see why they're ranked 28th... truly Pitiful! They are wrong today both on the TV and mobile Web.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use it. Use NWS.

Accuweather has been such an amazing front for all who are expecting to know what to expect when venturing outside to their jobs, in hopes that a change of clothes won't be necessary or being caught on a roof wont be a workers comp claim when they are hit by lightning, I live in the great lake/Northern Ohio region and for the past year Accuweather had predicted exact start times of rain, storms, snow, and out of 365 days they hit it perfect maybe three out of 365, we haven't had rain in over two months and the prediction- a storm in spots, or a storm around is the perfect prediction for not having a clue on what the weather is doing, I suggest an"I have no idea" forecast, this way people actually have a trusting source, bottom line, if you look up and theres a tornado or storm, then its probably gonna rain... Everyone should be meteorologist's, we could all take vacations finally with our well earned pay :)

If you want to know Sunrise and Sunset Times and If it might rain sometime in the next Six Months, this is the site for you. Also, the radar is pretty cool, if you can get it to load on your cell phone. All other information is marginally good at best. The application for the Cell Phone is Slow to load, unstable, and quits often, and that is with the paid for version. When you live in a storm prone region you need good data to make decisions, you will not get it here. Just checked three sites for my location in the hurricane, including the local emergency management resource. All three stated ENE 25-30. "AccuWeather" is predicting SE at 44. Big difference from my point of view.

Weather prediction is imperfect. I do understand that but the site and app have so many problems that you need to be heavily involved in BDSM to want to use it! I am all done trying to use this disaster of a site and app.

Accu weather is almost always off on the weather. One of the worst I have actually ever came across. If it says storms, means it is not going to happen. If it says nice sunny day, means its going to rain or storm. Follow fox 17 weather reporter and get with it

I love this app but very disappointed that you now can only keep 5 towns or cities on the app whereas previously one could keep a larger number. We travel a lot to different places so to having to keep on entering towns and cities over and over again is a pain.

I wrote in months ago saying it should be called inaccuweather. Well, excuse me, Theyre not useless, they use a code. Similar to BBC forecasters. As I sit here, rain running down my window, waiting to walk my dog. I checked accuweather for a laugh. No precipitation for at least 120 minutes. Ahh I thought. So. Rain means dry. No precipitation means constant (heavy) rain. And cloudy means 100% chance of rain, unless it stays dry. Maybe. So, there we go. All sussed. By the way, that no precipitation is getting heavier
