Accuweather has a rating of 1.2 stars from 155 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Accuweather most frequently mention pop ups, hourly forecast, and many ads problems. Accuweather ranks 50th among Weather sites.
While it is lovely they have a listed forecast for most places (or at least one nearby), they are often off by by up to 4° Centigrade in places like Alice Springs, Australia. A considerable over/underestimation. After some weeks I've become accustomed to re-jigging their forecasts based on my experience. I suspect they have no software that let's them know there forecasting is very inaccurate. Wind speeds are out as well though direction is good. The humidity thing is a complete joke in this country. Don't download the app but if you want forecasting for far-flung places, just bookmark the pages & adjust for their numbers related in accuracies.
Do not trust this company they can't forecast weather more then two hours ahead. The 45 day forecast is just pie in the sky useless

Very terrible reports, weather conditions are already reported but yet totally different at my location. What can possibly be wrong with current conditions that they do not have proof of. We are experiencing light snow but according to there current radar nothing is happening. This is not the first time of false information.
Forcasts seem to be fairly accurate. But OMG the adds are ridiculous. I get it, its a free app and they need to make a buck. But seriously it is over kill. Sad they do this.
Don't use this app. I've tested it in my area and it's so far off is disgusting.
They have more errors than any other plat form I use. An example AccuWeather says it was 40 degrees my thermometer read 30, new car read 30, electronic thermometer at 30 as well. Anyone taking a trip, use a different weather app, this one will get you in a life and death situation! DONT USE!

Tip for consumers:
Don't trust the temperature or humidity forecasts
According to Accuweather, a thunderstorm that has been over my property is supposed to be several miles away. Yet, it's still overhead, with lightning flashing everywhere. This is a frequent problem with their website. There have even been occasions when their map shows no storm activity within 100 miles, while a large thunderstorm is on top of our area. But don't take my word for it. Check it out for yourself. Trust them at your own peril. So much for claimed accuracy. Shame!
I understand funding a site with advertising, but really! Pop ups on the radar that cannot be closed... ad's between every piece of pertinent weather info! You should rename your site "Billboard"... I'm done with you. Apparently you haven't listened to any of the other reviews, pretty sure mine will get as much attention
Said 0% chance of rain and have now been in a torrential downpour for more than an hour and doesn't look like it will let up any time soon. This isn't the first time - in fact more often than not. Wish I got paid big bucks to just "guess" at the weather and when I'm wrong just blame on whatever. Any other job, you'd be fired!
Had the AccuWeather App for a few years, never an issue. Foe 2 mos now, the app just closes upon opening. I have given feedback so many times with no solutions to come my way. Don't waste your time with this app.
These scares of hail and tornadoes in Dallas without any time frame of when it starts and ends are completely worthless! Not useful or helpful at all! Accuweather has been consistently inaccurate compared to other sites, like weather.com, and they don't provide near the detail. It's just worthless and aggravating to listen for 20-30 minutes and still not know what is happening or whether there is concern. By far the most disliked of all weather services! Completely Worthless!
I have submitted many concerns about covering the midwest. (Very Poor). Every time I go to the channel 361 on Direct TV it seems to always be showing either the east or west coast. I live in Kansas City and you might get 10 seconds on the Midwest. This stinks! I have been in severe weather warning and even in a "tornado warning" and there was absolutely no coverage for my area to be found! Get better meteorologists also and get rid of that Bloomberg sounding guy. He's horrible. I'm sorry but I've been using 362 weather on Direct TV. They even have local weather option. Midwest, midwest, midwest!
I used to be able to browse Accuweather.com easily with JavaScript disabled. Now, the pages won't even load without JavaScript turned on--they're completely blank. And the new layout for the extended forecasts is absolutely terrible.
This site is no longer usable in my opinion.
This app constantly gets it wrong. I can look out the window for more accurate forecasts. I have several apps for weather and this one is all on its own, temperature, wind speed, forecasts, never the same as others. When I am told it will rain in 20 minuets, that means go out side, you may see some clouds, but if you check other apps there is nothing about rain. I am listening to pounding rain outside, accu weather says rain expected in 90 minuets.
This is used to be one of my favorite apps, but it's become completely unreliable, to the point of being totally useless. This seems to be pretty recent, because the change has been very dramatic. I used to tell my friends how accurate the forecasts were to within minutes, not Accuweather tells me there will be no rain for the next hour during a downpour or vice versa. And forecasting for the next few hours is like a complete crap shoot. So sad to see what's become of this app.
If you're lucky you might pause or close all the pop-up ad windows quickly enough to get (I'm not exaggerating here, I've tested this) about 1-2 seconds worth of information scrubbed and compiled by real weather sites. Also, they sell your information as soon as you visit the site. The amount of money they must make in delivering you to others as a product and delivering your eyes to advertisers for money in comparison to the actual useful value of info you receive is like a 100,000 to 1 ratio. That's why this is at the top of my shortlist as the MOST craven site supposedly delivering a service on the internet.
They are constantly wrong. I've been checking everyday for the past few days about snow and there was nothing and yesterday it started snowing. Today it poured snow... still said no mention of snow. By brother (in CO) left early to get to Estes Park where it was supposed to be snowing all day and had severe warnings. He got there and roads were nice and clear.
Tip for consumers:
Move onto a more reliable weather site.
I work outside doing fence repair, so it's pretty useful for me to know what the weather will be like the next day. The hourly/daily forecast will be completely random. I'll check in the morning and it will say severe thunderstorms 80% chance all day. I'll schedule my work accordingly. Comes noon and the sun is out, bone dry outside. I check the app again and now it's showing sunny all day with 5% precipitation. This happens ALL THE TIME. What's the point of even using this app when just sticking my head out and looking at the sky results in a more reliable forecast for the day? Completely useless.
They should rename themselves inaccurate weather. Rarely accurate. They have showed it snowing here for the past 4 hours and not a flake has fallen. Days they give no snow at all we get more than days they give an amount. Only job you can be wrong all the time and still have one.
Yeah, if you own a mac, you know this website. And those who not, probably know it too... Anyway, I go on this website every single day while I have breakfast. Weather forecast with hour-by-hour details, precipitation, wind and so on probability, metric or english system,... very ACCUrate and complete.
What a pity, i downloaded the latest version for a new phone & what a lot of rubbish it has become. 3 bloody adverts on one page & so touch sensitive, when you try flick it away, it opens the ad. Really pathetic, im using Windy.com now, so much better
Something is seriously wrong and it seems Accuweather has changed, making it impossible to find a local forecast for more than 24 hours.
OR. Am I missing something? Is it ME? Of did they really mess up and change things around?
I'd give a ZERO star rating if possible, but i[m forced to leave a one star which is NOT how I see things.
I liked accu weather pretty well until I opened the app today to see Obama pop up on my screen telling me to vote. I don't appreciate when companies become political. I think I'll look for a different weather app. Thanks for letting me know that you support the democrat agenda. I don't. Keep your politics to yourself.
The site was changed about two months ago in Cincinnati, Ohio area. Prior to it being changed it was right on for the Anderson Township area you never missed. But since the change it is useless website! Give us back what we had!
I tried this site to get away from the worst weather site on the web (weather.com) only to find a glaring bug that keeps popping up on the bottom of the page. Their ad-blocker detector insists I have an ad blocker running, though, I do not. Their ads show up regardless. A lot of sites today are using faulty ad-blocker detection web services from 3rd parties that, simply, do not work.
Other than that, the hourly numbers go from left to right, and is not intuitive to read or use. They should to top to bottom.
16 hours ago it said it was going to rain here all day from 60 to 80% chance from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m...
This morning when I checked it said 80% chance at 4 p.m...
It rained for about 5 minutes at 11 not a drop since
