One month, and hours of calling and getting hung up on, I was told (by Ms. Maxwell, also helpful) to call and ask for the Account management Team to get results. I called and was connected to Kiana who was the kindest most helpful person ever. She was able to resolve a problem I had with two cameras that stopped working and no longer had any support. She took the time to make sure all my concerns were answered and taken care of. Than you Kiana for being the customer service specialist we all wish to talk to. Brian
We have been with ADT for over 34 years. We are a retired couple on a fixed income. I recently installed an alarm system to try and save some money. I called to cancel, and they say I am under contract until June of next year and that we owe close to $300. Last time was talked to ADT we thought we were month to month contract. I talked to several people in billing, and none of them said they could do anything to forgive the charge. In the last 34 years, we've paid ADT over $20,000. I am amazed at how heartless this company is. I would strongly recommend using a different company when it comes to security.
$2000 to cancel service on our house that burned down. Not even for equipment. That amount is to "finish out the contract" the amount we would have paid for them to protect our house for the rest of the contract. They don't deem the house being covered burning down as a reason to cancel service. Not to mention the two times I tried to reach customer service and was told I would receive a call back and never did. Absolutely appalling customer service.

ADT is not transparent with it's installation cost, monitoring cost or cancelation fees. They use fishing tactics like free visa gift cards to entice new customers into years long contracts. Beware that you will not receive the visa gift card because after you sign the contact, ADT will claim that they offset (or reduced) a portion of the cost of installation by the value of the gift card and therefore you will not receive a give card as promised. I should have done my research before signing up with this company. I learned the hard way. Please Please avoid ADT. Go with a trustworthy company and pay less for better service like Simplisafe, Vivint or Xfinity. Beware, review sites that list ADT as their #1 pick is actually a site operated by ADT. Bottom line, Avoid high cost, long contacts, 3 party vendors and poor customer service. Avoid ADT!

We lost our home to a fire in July of 22. ADT has continued to send us bills even after mant calls to them explaining our situation. Now they have a collection agency harassing us. Insult to injury. Very poor business practice management. I guess I need to mail them the melted equipment.

I've had the system for 1yr I've had issues with the cameras. I've had issues with the system. They always want to try to trouble shoot over the phone. My system not work properly in a month due to being out town they wanted to trouble shoot 1st. Guess what it ended them having to come out anyway. I would had more benefit taking the money I spent on this system and whipping my $#*! with it. On top that I've been broke in 2x with the system. Secure I think not!

Called ADT and talked to Andre who informed me that my door sensor would be free to replace. Once I was directed to customer service was informed that sensor would $100 PLUS increase of $1.00 monthly added to bill. What a joke! Looking for another security system!

Horrible user experience. CS is virtually non-existent and difficult to access. Redundant chat access. If their CS is an example of their product I have serious doubts about how well my home is now protected.

I have been an ADT customer for years. It was always hard to reach someone on the phone, but last few days just killed me. I have been calling ADT for days; waited for more than hour on the phone and did not reach anyone. So I decided to use chat; i was in chat line 3 times, and i would lose connection with ADT not because of me, but because something was not working on their end.
For months I have been having notifications on my monitor: battery low, windows open but they were not opened, and other notifications. My alarm system did not care to reach out to me, even though they are being paid for the services. In the end I was told that I have to pay for batteries, tech visit and other things. Time to move on to the newer technology and different provider.

Ive literally soent 13+ hours calling ADT because billing and automatic charges are wrong. ADT can not be trusted. Everyone in billing will tell you a different amount due and different date your contract expires

My newly installed back-up battery failed within 2 weeks. Cannot set the alarm and insurance is jeopardised. Called them 3 weeks ago now, they promised a call within 2 hours. Nothing. Called and called again and every day they promised a call within 2 hours. My alarm is still inoperative because of the battery fail. No one is accountable. Cannot get a name for the "line operation whatever" who is supposed to assign jobs. The excuse: there is more than one. Surely, there must be a "General" in this army of renegades... I asked to be given his/her name, no luck. They are all faceless and nameless. Hiding behind this anonymity they manage to get away with appalling service and screw their clients over and over. I will be writing to the CEO next, Company's House will have the name.

ADT has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I've spent over 6 hours on the phone trying to get help. In those 6 hours, I've been disconnected at least 4x and had to restart with a new rep. I have cancelled my account.

Do not use ADT. They will not work with you and will attempt to get one over on you every chance they get. We were half way through a 3 year contract when we decided to move 15 minutes down the road to a better place. We were told that they are unable to transfer our service and we would either have to pay 750 dollars or sign a new 3 year contract. ADT is a scam and I will never recommend them to anyone and they will be hearing from the Better Business Buroeau because this has been the worst experience with a business I have ever had.

This two are the worst service i've ever experience with.
ADT- you deed with a contract and then suddenly they terminate the customer and owe them $500 dollars. Bull$#*!!, give you bank info so you can take out an monthly amount that stated for you to take out the monthly bills for hassle free and then you'll be surprise all of the sudden a collection agency called that i'm in collection for not paying. Get your $#*!ing system fixed! That way customer are happy with your service. But never mind i have big regrets on having this security.
TELUS- poor internet service out here in suburban area fiber sucks and not good enough as the shaw. Very disappointing service. As well as the customer service. Stay away! Stay away! Stay away! From this two. Don't waste your time and money. Regret! Regret! Later.

My alarm system has not worked for over a month. Called and was on hold so opted for an automatic call back. When I got the call back, I was played a recording apologizing, but that i would be on hold for a long time. (What is the point of a call back if you are going to put on hold?) The call back came at 11 pm and I fell asleep before someone came on the line.
I have tried several times to reach someone to fix the system without success.

Their customer service is just awful. They did not take any blame for incorrectly installing my equipment and never providing me with the correct stuff. They were supposed to send me 2 key fabs and install a motion detector and when I tried to call their awful phone lines they wanted me to pay for all of that which was above $300. Their app that they love to talk about so much never worked. They required me to pay a $750 dollar cancellation fee because I did not want to be with them anymore. Please do not go with them.

Would not let me cancel service after a year of use. They stated that the contract is for 36 months. 3years was their shortest contract and now I'm paying for adt for my ex husband for the next 2 years. Not impressed with their business management.

I called to disconnect my service and have it moved to another state. I was told I would get my self-install equipment in the mail, but it never came. Once I was moved and had a few days to settle in, I called and was told they inadvertently forgot to send my equipment. I got the equipment but most of it does not work. I cannot get anything other than online or "virtual" help reinstalling everything, even though the initial install was done exactly as instructed on the ADT+ and Google Home apps. I explained I am older and unable to do this, but apparently you are not allowed to have a tech come to the home if it is "self-install". My first call took over an hour and now I have been on hold for over 30 minutes for another department. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Extremely expensive and the customer is expected to do all the work.

ADT gives you the run around. I have tried to cancel multiple times and am given different offers to keep me. When I call back to cancel I'm transferred to multiple departments. I was on hold for 1 hour and 55 minutes as no one could cancel my account- after speaking to multiple people, the customer service rep hung up on me. My account still isn't canceled. ADT is NOT worth the hassle!

On September 6,2022 a ADT rep came out to put in alarm. While here at house alarm guy gets on phone with supervisor then comes upstairs working and a incident happened that caused me injury, so I told ADT guy to go downstairs and do not be on the same level with me! I have called ADT to do incident report, but they haven't responded back yet! I am looking for another alarm company!

ADT is slow to even tell you your alar is not working. The technician stated I needed a new system. I have not heard anything about the date this will happen. When I call they want me to be the technician. So I am in this stupid cycle. But they want me to purchase a new system. While my alarm system and cameras never worked right from the beginning. So buyer beware, they will even sell you a replacement battery.

They charged me for the month 5/3/22 to 6/2/22 and then 5/7/22 to 6/6/22 and then from 6/2/22 to 7/2/22 and said then said it is pro rated how can I someone with a monthly bill of $58 a month end up with a bill at the end of may for over $250 and they keep telling me pro rate like I'm dumb they just like to steal money bad bad bad bad bad

We were ADT customers for 21+ years. The quality of service has steadily declined the last few years.
Contacting their service center results in a long time on hold, frequent transfers, and ADT agents that do not communicate clearly and they make commitments that they are not authorized to make. Field techs often do not have the necessary equipment to make required repairs, resulting in multiple visits and waisting consumers time.
Tip for consumers:
They toutinely forge the customers signature as part of their standard process. My efforts to have them change this process were unsuccessful.

I was suppose to get a free upgrade or add-on after a year. I called and come to find out ADT purchase my contract from another contractor that represented ADT and then they told me I had to buy my add-on or upgrade. I got lie to just so they can get a sale. I don't recommend this for anybody just do your own install.

This company is unsatisfactory. Constantly broken equipment. An upgrade of their broken system means more money and to boot they insist on coming to my house to have a salesperson explain why I need to spend more. No option to do this over the phone. No appointment for a week and then a second tech to install a different system after that. All this while I have no security system. Wildly unsatisfied.

I been with ADT for several years. I was plato leave the company and was sold a lie to stay! They transfer you all over to avoid dealing with the problem. The representatives are and technicians are nice but overall ADT is a scam. They should be ashamed of their relationship with customers. I regret the fact I renewed with them
