One month, and hours of calling and getting hung up on, I was told (by Ms. Maxwell, also helpful) to call and ask for the Account management Team to get results. I called and was connected to Kiana who was the kindest most helpful person ever. She was able to resolve a problem I had with two cameras that stopped working and no longer had any support. She took the time to make sure all my concerns were answered and taken care of. Than you Kiana for being the customer service specialist we all wish to talk to. Brian
We have been with ADT for over 34 years. We are a retired couple on a fixed income. I recently installed an alarm system to try and save some money. I called to cancel, and they say I am under contract until June of next year and that we owe close to $300. Last time was talked to ADT we thought we were month to month contract. I talked to several people in billing, and none of them said they could do anything to forgive the charge. In the last 34 years, we've paid ADT over $20,000. I am amazed at how heartless this company is. I would strongly recommend using a different company when it comes to security.
Hidden Contract and cancellation policies:
It's a scammy trick from the get-go with a hidden contract and cancellation policy with fees. After 15 minutes on the phone with Christian he told me I had to call another number and tell a different person that I want to cancel my service, and that there is a wait time of 20 minutes. When I tried to call the number he gave me the recording said a wait time of 51 minutes. They are scammers and they want your money, not your business.

It takes forever to get the contract canceled, they will let you wait on the line forever until you give up first! And my neighbors got simplilife or other options, they all look better, work great and cheaper! So please look for other cheaper and better options other than this basic company who'll rip you off!

The level of terrible service and LYING that I experienced is beyond anything I could imagine. They 'sold' me on one thing and charged me more than DOUBLE what they told me in the call and what I signed. Not okay. Be aware!

There is a known issue with a wall unit that causes incessant beeping. I was told to wait 24 hours for a virtual technician. He called, ensured that this is a known issue and it was resolved. It was not! I called back and was told that I would have to pay a technician fee to have someone come to my house to resolve the issue. In other words I would have to pay to have them fix a nuisance issue for their faulty hardware.
Unreal. I will be removing this system and canceling this service.

ADT monitoring system in my house was not working "system error" and no connection for 3 months. Called their customer service number several times to reset and repair their malfunction system. All efforts was abortive and they mailed bills to the house. The monitoring system turned off by one of their experts who came to the house and they still continue sending monthly bills. THE WORST COMPANY EVER!

We have been with Adt for a while now system started acting up front door bell We ask for help got it but support is very impatient with us sent us a new doorbell still doesn't work We ask if a tech could come out they told us no they have no service tech we can walk you through it well we tried over and over to no connection this is horrible paying this kind of money every month not to even get a tech to come out is ridiculous we don't know what else to do but cancel and move on sad because there camera are great and clear then most but that makes no difference if it doesn't work

I call customer service numerous of times to resolve this problem they promised me that someone will come out and no one has came out yet so now I decide to cancel the service they told me that I cannot cancel the service and I will continue to pay or I will be charged a $2,500 cancellation fee... Do not use ADT. They told me one thing and did the opposite. They lied to me. Customer service is a joke, they do what they want to do and try and stroke you if you get upset. Use Vivant they at least do what they say they're going to do.

It took 2 months to cancel, they continue to state it was not cancelled when i spent multiple hours on the phone to have this taken care of. Now i refuse to pay and will gladly go to court and spend attorney fees just to prove a point. We had the service over 4 years, never made one phone call to them, yet when i attempt to cancell it takes hours to even get a representative, then they will hang up or have to transfer you.DONT GET THIS SERVICE... I cancelled with them on 4/22/22 after using 15 years. I confirmed service was completley cancelled on 5/22/22. They billed me final bill $19.72 (5/15/22-5/22/22) plus $209.60 (5/15/22-8/15/22). So I contacted them several times about this matter. All they can say I have to pay for 3 month service which they don't provide anymore. THE WORST COMPANY I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!

After a 20 year customer stint and a conversation with FOUR people today, I canceled my service.
I was offered a "discount" on an upgrade but told that the more my upgrade was discounted- the higher my monthly monitoring rate would cost.

I wish The ADT CEO call for Troubleshooting and the machine will say: Your waiting time is 113 minutes. When you decide to wait, your call will be disconnected when you are close to the waiting time.
Stop doing more TV advertisings and hire more Tech Support Specialists.

Way overpriced! Their equipment is constantly going out. The stupid doorbell camera is battery powered instead of being hardwired into my original doorbell. The battery is constantly going dead! I have the stupid thing on a charger more than I do on my house. And then they walk me through trying to fix stuff myself? I'm paying thousands of dollars and I have to fix it myself? This is dumb. Now my backyard cameras aren't working and I'm supposed to get up on a ladder and try to figure this out myself while talking on the phone? B*******! This company sucks

Called them 9 days after installation telling them it goes off all day long and I hate the system and I have to pay $1800 to get ride of it! Horrible customer service with the person we talked to and that was AFTER waiting 40 minutes on hold! Will NEVER recommend this company to anyone!

ADT service was ok but their compassion and treatment were not! It's a zero. I called ADT today again, to inform them around June 30- 2022, that I needed them to close down my account until I found another home due to the sewer pipe busted throughout the townhome. I was told they could not close it down or hold it for me because of a contract that should have ended long ago. I had been with ADT for 5 years, so how could I still be on a contract, besides the one I am on at my new address? However, since their customer service started working from home, has been a challenge for most of us customers. Customer service answers the phones from their home but does not put notes into the system as they should so another agent can assist you better. When customer service doesn't do their job it makes the customer looks like a liar. I have been dealing with this issue long enough! I called today because they refused my payment and I wanted to find out why. ADT is still trying to make me pay for a bill they would not stop. So I told them today that if they get on my credit report I will see them in court and I do have evidence of the home being repaired as I speak. I do not understand why ADT think that this was great customer service when they do not care about their customer who is helping them stay in business. You all needed to know this information and who you are dealing with when it comes to an emergency. Have a blessed one.

ATT guy showed up saying if we get ADT our ATT bill will be lower. ATT does not work with ADT. This is total fraud. We called ATT they confirmed. We are requesting all our monies be returned and cancel this contract. ADT is frauding customers. Do not trust them.

I bought a house with an ADT security system installed by the previous owner. I did not activate the system as we are a big family and someone is always here.
After a few years of living in the house the alarm began going off each time we open a door. When it goes off we have to push a button on the keypad (clear or off). Unfortunately we cannot get it to stop doing this so every single time we open a door it does this.
After contacting the company they have told me:
1. They cannot provide any code to me to turn it off permanantly
2. They cannot turn it off from their end.
3. They will not send a technician to turn it off because I don't have an account
4. If I had an account this would cost me $2OO to have it fixed
I feel that they should be responsible for the system in the home and that they should be required to fix this problem. Whether they disarm it or remove it, they should do something.
I am disgusted and have a headache!

Don't go with ADT. 4 month ago I was woke up with Firemen beating o my door, my alarm was going, I let them i and couldn't such the alarm off the code didn't work so the Firemen took it off and left it laying in the floor. After sever hours on the phone speaking to one then another I though I had the charge dismissed and i dont look at my C/c statement very close but today I did and the have been charging me right on and there system is piled up in tn the floor.

I have been an ADT customer for upwards of 10 years, not anymore. A year ago the system that I bought upon moving to my newest home was "no longer supported". I was forced into a new contract and a new system to the tune of $1600 of equipment and extending service because they decided to update the tech. One would think that they would take care of their current clients but after months of issues with this new system I stopped wasting my time calling. Today I called to cancel my service due to moving and they have the audacity to now say I have to pay a $1600 cancellation fee because they forced this new system on me and since it doesn't work I'm not about to take it with nor set up a new one at the new home. After 5 phone reps in billing, cancellations, retention, account coordination and account management and none of them "have a supervisor" to talk to I told them I'm going to cancel the credit card they are billing and will contact a lawyer. They can come get the system they installed it's trash. I will never be a client of theirs again they literally did nothing for me other than costing money. The cheap WiFi connected cameras I have work better than the stuff that goes through their system as their motion sensors don't even register properly.

No help, no customer service, no any service. They should be banned from the market. Very bad. Don't waste your money and time on this company. You will be disappointed. The positve feedback is probably from paid individuals and employees. They even faked my signature on the service receipt. My accound is locked out, no help to get it restored. What a scam and fraudulent company.

I'm a former Employee of ADT from the Redlands Branch. Part of my reason for quitting is due to the Service Manager -Joseph Bautista. He talked negatively behind my back to my coworkers. Also, I was told I could make big money thru the SCORE Lead Program, when in actuality I only made $45 dollars. ADT is a joke and I would never recommend working for this company or doing business with them.
