One month, and hours of calling and getting hung up on, I was told (by Ms. Maxwell, also helpful) to call and ask for the Account management Team to get results. I called and was connected to Kiana who was the kindest most helpful person ever. She was able to resolve a problem I had with two cameras that stopped working and no longer had any support. She took the time to make sure all my concerns were answered and taken care of. Than you Kiana for being the customer service specialist we all wish to talk to. Brian

We have been with ADT for over 34 years. We are a retired couple on a fixed income. I recently installed an alarm system to try and save some money. I called to cancel, and they say I am under contract until June of next year and that we owe close to $300. Last time was talked to ADT we thought we were month to month contract. I talked to several people in billing, and none of them said they could do anything to forgive the charge. In the last 34 years, we've paid ADT over $20,000. I am amazed at how heartless this company is. I would strongly recommend using a different company when it comes to security.

Having camera issues monthly for 2 years. When u call them wait times can be 30-70 minutes. I have been accidentally hung up on multiple times in one day. I have spent over 2 hours just in one day txting them. All together I have spent over 30+ hours calling/txt to fix my issue for two years. Adt replaced my camera last year due to this issue but say they don't have a record for an issue before Feb this year and don't see my new camera. They have to see somewhere the new camera it was an upgraded one and must have different ID / serial numbers. Three techs came this month alone all saying I need a new camera, they are phasing out my system that's why my camera does not work. Adt said I have to pay 1300 for new cameras and will only give me a 52 credit towards the camera. I just want my camera working and their only solution is for me to upgrade. It seems that they are trying to pull a scam saying they have no past history and I have to pay to fix their problem. They have to be able to see over the past 2 years all the times a tech came out. All I want is working cameras this is crazy. I just need working cameras.

I purchased my home in 2021. I decided to get ADT(worst decision ever). My panel went down in April 2022, I called ADT and they sent out someone ($61) and he told me that I will have to pay for a tech for the cameras but my panel should reboot in about 10 minutes. The ADT guy then left (he had been rushing since he made it at my home) went look at the panel because it still didn't reset, now my panel is hanging with a red cord unplugged. I then called ADT and complained about what happened, then sent another guy out but this time free of charge since I had already paid the day before. All he did was put the red cord back in and left. He said adt only told him to do that. I called to cancel because I still don't have a working panel/camera. ADT still was taking money out my account and my panel/cameras still wasn't working. I called them again they said I still have to pay for the service since I signed a contract. But I signed a contract for a working device. I had a burglary in Dec 2022 and I was only aware of it because of my neighbors, so ADT y'all received the payment thats taken out but couldn't alert me about the burglary taken place? Why? Oh yeah my Panel and alarm system was still down‍‍. Now today 01/18/2023 my system came back on. Wowwwwww

After paying an early termination fee to terminate the ADT contract that I no longer want or need, I have again been billed. I spent more than an hour on the phone with various customer service employees being transferred back and forth to 'let me know my options' when I tried to cancel - even after informing them that I had already been informed of my options and had opted to pay the early termination fee, which was more than $1100. Finally, I called the subsidiary SafeHaven who stayed on the line with me to ensure that the issue would be resolved and my cc would no longer be charged for this service that I had canceled. I was assured that I was all set. In my opinion, ADT intentionally continues to bill customers hoping that they will not notice - in my opinion they should be investigated for their fraudulent billing practices. I wish I had read the reviews and learned about their litigation issues before I chose to do business with ADT. I will never recommend ADT to anyone and will tell everyone that I know about the issues I've had. I'm still waiting for my billing issue to be resolved. If my cc company cannot resolve the issue, the next step will be a BBB.org complaint.

ADT has NO Customer Service. It is tedious to get someone to talk to. No one has 5mins to wait on a phone. I am a customer for 21 yrs. I scheduled appt to have doorbell cameras installed. Ask for Sat. Appt. Got a 10 - 5:00 window. NO ONE SHOWED UP. Got call at 5:10p fr. ADT cancelling the Apt. I waited months and tried again. Got appt for weekday 2weeks before they cancelled that Apt. Citing only " supervisor's instructions. I ask for the next available appt. Got it for a week day. It took day off from work. I tried hours to confirm this appt the day before. Finally got it confirmed in the pm. That process was so tedious it felt like the young lady took at least 2mins to ask each question. On the day of Appt Adt calls again to cancel citing " I did not confirm" ADT needs to retire itself as the old grandfather it is. THERE IS A LOT OF COMPETITION OUT THERE HOME SECURITY IS NO LONGER A LUXURY

If I could give them a zero star, I would. Customer service sucks! Please do yourself a favor and do not bother one minute with this unprofessional company where the sales representative has no idea what they are doing. They just keep transferring you over to someone who is useless. I moved from one state to another state and went from professionally installed to DIY Kit. I was told that my services at the old address were canceled, but I soon found out that it was still in service, and I was charged over $2k. And then, when I wanted the new DIY kit, the sales rep sent it to the wrong address, and it got lost with FedEx, and I had to report and file with FedEx. When I finally got the kit, it took three hours with the technician on the phone to walk me through the process. Then she told me I could return the products I couldn't use to get a refund and transfer to another rep. I was on the phone for 1.5 hours, and he told me I would get a return label, but he never sent it. When I called back, they said I had to cancel everything and return everything to be refunded for the old system. One day I was transferred to 27 staff who didn't know what they were doing. This process has been an ongoing headache for two months with no resolutions. This company sucks, and they tie you down with a five-year contract. If you decide to get services with the company, make sure you plan on being on the phone daily for hours with people who don't know what they are doing. It is definitely a full-time job to be their customer.

This is a third saga installment of ADT's very poor customer service. In short, after returning hardware on my own nickel because I could not get an authorized return label (taking the address off a example on ADT's web page), following the shipping history, and waiting for some kind of acknowledgement of the package being received and processed, and then in turn waiting 3 weeks for a refund I gave up and went to my bank and filed a fraud claim. My bank succeeded in getting my money back and deposited it my account. At NO TIME did I ever receive any notification that my return was being processed even after two calls to check on the refund status. If I hadn't spoken with the receiving warehouse manager who in fact verified my package had been received and forwarded on to ADT, I would have been lost in an ineffectual ADT support team abyss. Cudos to the receiving warehouse manager who was not an ADT employee but a third party electronics package processor. In conclusion, do not expect any kind of support once a sale has been consummated.

This is my 2nd ongoing negative review of ADT customer support. I have been trying to get a FedEx return label since July 11th, I have spoken with five ADT representatives each of who has passed me along the phone chain to a "specialist" who could help me. Each "specialist" in turn has passed me on to another "specialist". I have left my call back number three times but have never received a call back. For the record I have called *******780, *******947, *******734, *******039, and emailed three ADT representatives. Each and every person I have contacted has passed me on to another "customer care specialist". I had a phone "chat" in which the final sentence said I will call you momentarily to resolve your request, the phone call never happened. One representative passed me forward saying the wait time would be 59 mins, after 1 1/2 hours the callback has not occurred. As of Monday July 17,2023 ADT shares are trading at $6.47, suggest looking up the remaining financials. I have to speculate that ALL ADT agents are instructed to not provide a FedEx return label even though under the verbiage of the contract documents returns are accepted within 30 days. Again DO NOT SUBSCRIBE OR DO BUSINESS WITH ADT IF CUSTOMER SERVICE MATTERS.

We bought a house that came with an alarm system already installed and the old owners are still on the account and we've been trying to deactivate the system as the fire department has showed up to our door twice due to false smoke detector alarms. I have called multiple times and they tell me I am not on the contract and there is nothing that can be done, although we now own the system as it came with the house we have purchased and lived in for over a month. Initially, we had asked ADT to come out and link the current system to us as we OBVIOUSLY wanted to continue to use the existing equipment (2 cameras, alarms on all 4 doors and all 11 windows, smoke detectors and doorbell and keypad doorknobs also connected to the system) and when they got here we were told the equipment is "obsolete" and can't be reused and new equipment to replace what was already here would cost 10K… LIES, they just want to make money. In addition to all the frustration, the technician ended up braking the existing panel when he removed it, we told him to put panel back after he told us everything needed replacement, we told him we wouldn't be using ADT, we now have a brand new touch screen panel that is broken and has tape on it thanks to the incompetent technician, an alarm system that is still activated with the old owners who do not know what is going on, fire department coming out for false alarms, cameras outside and inside the house that can be accessed by strangers (huge privacy violation) and what are we being told? Nothing can be done about it. They are liars and scammers and it is beyond comprehension how on Earth this company is still in business! How are they not being sued for so much dishonesty by the vast majority of their customers?
At this point we are so infuriated that this is exactly what we want to do- hire a lawyer and sue them!

I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS. I SET UP SERVICE WITH THEM OVER A MONTH AGO AND STILL HAVENT RECIEVED MY EQUIPMENT. I CALLED EARLIER THIS WEEK TO BE TOLD THE EQUIPMENT WAS SHIPPED TO A INCORRECT ADDRESS. THE PHONE NUMBER WAS ALSO INCORRECT SO IT WAS A HASSLE TO EVEN FIND ME IN THE SYSTEM. IT WAS CORRECTED ON JULY THE 3RD AND THE LADY TOLD ME SHE WOULD OVERNIGHT IT TO ME. ITS FRIDAY THE 7TH AND STILL NO EQUIPMENT. IVE BEEN TRANSFERRED 4 TIMES ANS BEEN ON HOLD FOR 30 MINS EACH TIME. NOONE CAN SEEN TO HELP ME. AT THIS POINT IM ON HOLD TRYING TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION. THIS IS WAY TOO MUCH UNPROFESSIONALISM FOR A NEW CUSTOMER.

They canceled my account without my consent claiming that I had called to cancel 2 months earlier because of a financial hardship. This is impossible because my payments are auto debited and I had never once missed a payment. Since I set up the service 2yrs ago I have never once spoken to the customer service department before this issue. They told me they were going to re-instate my services and reverse the bill but low and behold they told me that because my home was pending sale they could not re-instate it. They wanted me to pay early termination fees. After talking to 6 representatives in one day they finally assured me that it would be re-instated. Imagine my shock when I called to schedule termination because I finally decided not to move with them and they said my account had already been canceled. Some mistakes are unforgiveable and this is one that has not only occurred once but 3 times. They never gave me an answer as to who canceled my account or who they spoke to. They only offered a maybe someone had my online password excuse. How? I didn't even have an online account at the time.
What if someone was trying to cancel my account to rob me? How do you expect me to feel safe? Now I don't feel safe and don't want your service that you haven't even been providing but charging me for.

I took out the ADT version of the life alert system after being discharged from the hospital in May 2023 and took out the annual billing option. When I received the first bill it was for 1 month and not the year, so I called and they said they would correct and send a new bill. Eventually I received another bill with 1 month and 1 year so at the beginning of July I canceled the service and sent the equipment back. I then received a bill for the 2 months that I had for the service and tried to pay with my HSA credit card, over an hour was wasted with rude and incompetent customer service minions and found that it was impossible to pay with the card, so sent a check by snail mail. During the 2 month period a received several phone calls from their billing department demanding that I pay them there and then, I told them that once they get the billing correct that I would pay it - these people were extremely rude and was one of the reasons I canceled the service. Now I am free of them and life is good!

Wish I had gone somewhere else.

I called ADT for a free quote and spoke to this black woman and she knew nothing about what she was talking about. I asked her about a door camera and she sounded like she couldn't talk right. Maybe she was slurring her speech like she was drunk. I repeatedly asked her if the camera was able to connect with Wi-Fi providers in my area and I assured her that I would connect to xfinity a provider in my area. She was so $#*!ed up she didn't understand half of what I said. All she chose to hear was Wi-Fi provider and xfinity. So now I am getting extremely angry with the customer service in the United States. These people are so $#*!en foreign you can't even talk to them so I just hung up after explaining that to this stupid person for the 6th time. Clearly these people are not qualified to run for these businesses for any company because the greedy corporations won't pay their workers to adequately do their jobs and actually sell what they are supposed to sell. We are long overdue for CHATGPT to fire all of these customer service agencies and replace them with something that won't agitate me so badly.

ADT is worse company ever my alarm has been beeping 2 weeks cannot reach no one i ask in april to disconnect my service due to deaths of family members know ins. Aug without my request ADT start billing me again i called and called could not talk to no one2hrs holding phone, it's know way they have been monitoring my system because no battery in there for 4yrs but, they cont. To bill me. I paid to save my credit and requesting my money back. Oct 24-2022 alarm went off loud called ADT for them to test why system sound loud want stop I waited 1 hr 15min before someone answer. I ask why know called me. They could not stop alarm and she said she did not know what to do.it would be a week before someone come. I cannot go a week with my health with loud ALarm. She suggested to get someone to unplug Outlet I paid someone to help me glad i did outlet was hot and burned socket burned. They would not help me. Refund my money have not monitor my system inpossible no battery.my house was about to burn up with hot outlet. Please check your outlets to make sure they are monitoring you. I have been calling for 3 weeks hold time has been 2hrs and they come and hang up without talking. I even called customer service about why they added service back without my approval. They have set up for adt to call me back it took 2hrs for call back only to hang up when my turn. System keep waking me with know battery in it and they still want apply. I am wondering is this for att. General office and news station. Bill needs to go i did not request service again. I cannot con't to hold phone 2hrs and more i have health issues please help solve this. Thxx Peggy Hunter

Our business has had ADT for 15 years and 7 months. We called February, 2022 because we were having issues with our equipment. A technician came out and replaced some sensors and did a manual communication test. He signed off that all was well. We rocked along until December 28,2022. Someone decided to throw a concrete block through our window and enter our building. ADT sent an email to our business at 1:19 am to tell us to "be cautious, burglary in process". They did not alert the police nor call any of the emergency numbers we had listed. We walked into the building the next morning to a concrete block on my desk; tools and supplies strewn throughout and out the window. We called the police. When we contacted ADT to inquire why we weren't called, we received ALL TYPES OF EXCUSES including that there had not been communication with our equipment since the technician came out on February 4,2022. I proceeded to cancel the service (thank God our contract had ended that year and we had not signed a new one - not sure how they let that slip!). I also cancelled the automatic payments. WE asked on SIX different occasions to speak to a supervisor to no avail. We were told that a supervisor would call us back within 48 hours. We are still waiting to hear back from a supervisor. Fast forward to today...I signed into our bank account and low and behold...ADT had drafted a payment the past Friday. We started the journey of speaking with a supervisor again. How could ADT draft a payment for a service they are not performing...and they had drafted that same payment for non performance for 11 months! After getting the runaround for over an hour, I finally decided to search for a corporate office phone number (*******600) and finally reached someone who would listen! I got the account closed and the payments stopped. Save yourself some headache and SKIP ADT for services.

They will not explain important information to you that will secure your home. If anything does not work, then You have to pay to get it working again for equipment and traveling expenses
