One month, and hours of calling and getting hung up on, I was told (by Ms. Maxwell, also helpful) to call and ask for the Account management Team to get results. I called and was connected to Kiana who was the kindest most helpful person ever. She was able to resolve a problem I had with two cameras that stopped working and no longer had any support. She took the time to make sure all my concerns were answered and taken care of. Than you Kiana for being the customer service specialist we all wish to talk to. Brian
We have been with ADT for over 34 years. We are a retired couple on a fixed income. I recently installed an alarm system to try and save some money. I called to cancel, and they say I am under contract until June of next year and that we owe close to $300. Last time was talked to ADT we thought we were month to month contract. I talked to several people in billing, and none of them said they could do anything to forgive the charge. In the last 34 years, we've paid ADT over $20,000. I am amazed at how heartless this company is. I would strongly recommend using a different company when it comes to security.
One word SUCKS! ADT cannot fix any issue over the phone and when they schedule a service technician it's at your cost, they show up late! Not prepared! Ridiculous! Idiots! ADT has gotten too big for their panties they do not care about their customers! I believe my dogs are much better security, good day ADT!

If you are willing to pay a lot and get horrendous customer service (plan on waits of up to an hour for someone to answer the phone) and enjoy being repeatedly lied to, ADT is the company for you. I could write a book of its many, many failings, and they don't think horrible customer service and lies by (perhaps just totally incompetent) representatives is grounds for breaking a contract after 2 years of hell. I gladly paid to early termination charge to be rid of them. Do not count on this company to protect your home, family or property. One of their own techs confided that I should not replace the Ring doorbell with one of theirs, which he described as "crap." He also gave me a hint of the terrible service to come.

Signed up for ADT and never saw that it was a contract for 3 years and has a early termination fee of the entire term. Service has been very poor. Many alarms and no call from them except for a few times. Motion sensors go off with the smallest animal and no adjustment available. Does not connect to home integration very well either. IFTTT does not function. So much to say. DO NOT SIGN UP for their service.

Once they install your system-good luck getting any type of assistance by phone. Wait times exceed 1 hour and they always find a way to BLAME YOU for the problem. Remotes are your responsibility and getting appointment costs $59 no matter what the reason is for visit to your home. 10 more months and I am dropping this crappy service.

As I'm sitting here writing this, I've been on hold for 57 minutes and 11 seconds. I'm being charged for services that I did not sign up for. Whenever I call someone, it just gets to run around to the next person.
Sales people, promise one thing, then deliver another. 58 minutes and 22 seconds ATT.

Every time you call ADT there is a nasty person on the line waiting to be an idiot. There fees keep going up and the service is horrible. They treat Veterans and minorities particularly bad. Run don't walk from this company as I plan to do soon as possible.

I've been an ADT customer since 2020. During that time my doorbell and back yard cameras have rarely worked. Repeated calls to customer support to get the cameras back online has been a time consuming and frustrating experience. I've spent hours on hold, only to have the problem persist. Requests for onsite troubleshooting costs $169, with ADT telling me that network connectivity problems are beyond the scope of its support responsibilities.
ADT customer support is abysmal! Avoid this dinosaur like the antiquated relic it is.

I was an ADT customer for 9 years. Last year we decided to move and no longer wanted to continue the service. When I called ADT, the employees kept switching me from one department to another. After several calls later somebody accepted the contract cancellation, but in never was filed. ADT continued to withdraw money from my bank until I put a stop payment at my bank. I was then reported to a collection agency.

They install motion sensors so high that it didn't react when my business broke and robbed. Their technician simply told me that it was ADT fault but when I call them for compensation of my loss they even refused to take responsibility. Zero star from me

ADT is horrible. They have the worst customer service and are way more expensive than other home security companies. Their system are complicated and you can't get anything fix without them charging you a lot of money. You can even cancel your service on line and you are always on hold waiting to speak with someone. I wish I could rate them a zero

I've been trying for 3 days to cancel my service after not being a satisfied customer, the so called department I need to speak with will not return my phone calls… Do not use them. It's a scam. I had their service {ADT) for over 7 years. And slowly but consistently it got worse. Ppl coming and not knowing how to fix my problem. But when I called to cancel? They called me real quick and Said now? They can fix it.I was livid. And asked why did I have to go thru all this? He had no answer. So I said no cancel me. And he asked again I said NO it's garbage. Cancel my account now! Well I had to call and literally wait 40 minutes to get someone that tells me their canceling me. But really? Didn't. I wouldn't use them if they were the only choice out there. The service went from good to absolute garbage in a few years.the only way to get their attention? Is to cancel! How ridiculous. Beware. Look at all the 1-Star reviews before considering these idiots. Good luck everyone.

Be aware , first try to call in an active alarm and see for yourself how long of a wait. Police and fire will be there and long gone before they answer to help you. Absolutely nuts !!! There are other systems to check into. I’m very happy with my new system ( NOT ADT)

If you have any issues with your system after the techs have installed it, ADT charges their customers $59 or more for a tech come out and visit. This goes for ANY issues-- changing battery, resetting your camera, fixing a sensor that was sloppily installed.
The only other option is for them to walk you through the steps to do it yourself. Which is not support in my opinion. So if you have any disability that would prevent you from reading text, using tools, glue, and/or getting on a step ladder, then you are out of luck. If you have a tech that comes out and does a sloppy job installing the sensors and system, you are out of luck. Last summer, I was on a step ladder drenched in sweat while a tech walked me through resetting the security camera. I would not recommend this system to anyone. This company should be ashamed of themselves for that.

Real simple. The ADT system for our business was never set up correctly. With that, we had constant problems. False alarms, difficulties arming and disarming. Etc. The salesman said if we had troubles, call him. We did. He never returned calls. He turned into a ghost. We called customer service. They want to charge us a fee to fix what was never set up correctly in the first place. We stopped paying the monthly payment hoping to get someone's attention. They do call to collect. We express the issue we have. The callers don't know how to address our grievance. Thry just gonthrough a script. It is just a mess. I would love to talk to anyone at ADT who has any authority.

Cannot get one English speaking person on the phone. It's ridiculous me and my wife are both been trying to call to get customer support and technical support and no one can understand a word we're saying and we speak perfect English and then we've been hung up on twice. Our father used ADT for years. After he passed away, we notified the company of his passing and need to terminate service. There was no contract in place. It took numerous calls and letters until 10 months later, we were told service was finally cancelled. The entire time we were charged, always being told the company had not been notified of any termination or that the process hadn't been completed. Would never use this company again.

I put in a work order for $600. While I was at work, the tech got my family member, who let him in, to install additional equipment. My bill was $1,400. Numerous calls, hours on the phone... only led to them threatening to charge me over $2,000 for a contract I didn't even sign. They also billed me for two addresses instead of one because they failed to transfer the service.

They're ‘new' wireless system I believe can be disabled, I was burgled on Saturday and they managed to get passed four sensors! How is that possible? One maybe but not four. ADT refuse to send an engineer to the property to check the system, they tell me the can do that remotely, yet they're unable to reset the system remotely… avoid this company as they simply don't care at their customers.
I was on hold tonight and just gave up in the end.

The technician that originally came and installed the system took our outlet out of the wall and it won't go back in after years of trying to resolve this issue ADT has still charged me every month even though they are very aware of the issue and that my system hasn't even been able to be plugged in. I came across Gerald, and he reassured me over and over that I would not be signing a contract. He then sent me a form, stating that it was just simply to check my credit, since I was financing the equipment. After trying to cancel, I was told that I had signed a three-year contract. I can never reach anyone to contact me back, and management has gotten my information to call me back, but no one ever calls back. I see why they have such a low rating. Had I come across these ratings before, I would have never signed up. ADT has always been a big name in the security world, so I had assumed that I was signing up with a good company, which, evidently, so many people are learning the hard way. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against ADT!
