One month, and hours of calling and getting hung up on, I was told (by Ms. Maxwell, also helpful) to call and ask for the Account management Team to get results. I called and was connected to Kiana who was the kindest most helpful person ever. She was able to resolve a problem I had with two cameras that stopped working and no longer had any support. She took the time to make sure all my concerns were answered and taken care of. Than you Kiana for being the customer service specialist we all wish to talk to. Brian
We have been with ADT for over 34 years. We are a retired couple on a fixed income. I recently installed an alarm system to try and save some money. I called to cancel, and they say I am under contract until June of next year and that we owe close to $300. Last time was talked to ADT we thought we were month to month contract. I talked to several people in billing, and none of them said they could do anything to forgive the charge. In the last 34 years, we've paid ADT over $20,000. I am amazed at how heartless this company is. I would strongly recommend using a different company when it comes to security.
I had a dead battery and followed all the steps to replace but it wouldn't work. Called them for a service appointment but it took about 2weeks for anyone to be available to help. Called to close the account and they kept me on hold for extended periods of time, throwing me around from person to person. Eventually this lady tells me I'll be charged more than $1500 in cancelation fee! This is CRAZY. Why would they charge me for services in advance even when I'm canceling? They claim it's on the contract. This is robbery of some sort in the name of ADT "protection"!

Tired of paying ADT for a service, so went with a more reasonable solution.
I have been trying now to cancel my contract for at least one day.
Tried *******598, number provided by MyADT app, after 40 minutes kept on hold, dialed *******727, same story as the previous number, went on the chat function of MyADT, was advised to use the following number *******909, a direct line according to the service agent, Kamira P., guess I need to charge my phone more, because I am still waiting. I open my account 3 years ago and when it comes to customer service it suffers badly. My business close down because COVID and simply wanted to cancel our service, but in no way were they going to do that. In one call alone I was transferred 3 times. That last was an experience I never want have again. In the second call I was transferred immediately and waited eternally and after 3 years I realice the open 2 accounts for me in the same address! Crazy and no one can help me so they ask me for 1255. 00 to cancel my extra account like 2 electrical account in the same address and they never tell me nothing. Never again will I ever use ADT as my security provider. Again. In the second call I was transferred immediately and waited eternally before hanging up. I was scheduled for an install this Saturday. I was told my monthly bill would be 63.17 which would include my monitoring and equipment. Today I get a call to confirm my appointment on Saturday. The the representative tells me there'll be a 389 fee for equipment. I told her I was never told about this. She said I would have to pay over 300 a month for the next 3 months. I told her that was unacceptable as I was never told about the. She put me through to a customer service representative who told me, oh sorry they forgot to check a box, I fix it. Then proceeds to tell me I'll be paying almost 90 a month. I told him I wasn't paying more then I was originally told and he said he couldn't help me, so I cancelled my install.

Customer service is non existent. I've called 5 times today and by the grace of god I got 1 nice lady to actually help me cancel. The other 4 times I got transferred multiple time per each call. I've been on the phone for about 5 hours today between holding and telling people I wanted to cancel.! YOU ONLY HAVE 3 DAYS AFTER INSTALL TO CANCEL!
The technician who installed my equipment wasn't terrible but they canceled on me the day prior to my appointment then said they would send an experienced tech out. Super nice guy but could not answer a lot of my questions. Not a good experience. I was expecting a camera package but was not informed till mid installed my internet speeds could not handle the cameras. ( I have so internet Living in the middle of nowhere). Super regret listing to my wife haha

I used ADT for over 20 years. I recently had an issue where the sensors stopped working and they refused to send a technician out to repair my system. They left me unprotected for over two months. I was planning to go out of town for two weeks and I needed my home protected so I decided to change systems. The day I called to cancel their service, they told me that they would NOW send out a technician. It was too late. The next month AFTER i terminated their service, they send me ANOTHER bill for the next month. I called them and the representative was very rude and I asked for a manager to contact me. She told me they would within 72 hours. Needless to say, I have never heard from them again EXCEPT to continue to get a statement for a month that I DID NOT have them under contract.

Had the worst experience EVER trying to cancel our ADT service over the phone! The woman on the phone named Rosalin kept pushing and pushing and PUSHING for us to stay with them. We had to literally beg for her to cancel the service! Her behavior literally felt like harassment! I could not believe it! Stand firm when canceling. It's BS that a person has to beg and get angry to cancel a service that no longer suits them. Absolutely unbelievable and unprofessional service!

ADT does not want to take accountability for their equipment. They are over priced, in my opinion, and even though you have a service contract they still charge a trip charge of $58 plus tax. I had a system that was contracted out through Defender over six years ago, and it malfunctioned, and they could not repair the equipment, and they suggested that I upgrade, and I did. I upgraded my doorbell from RIng to Google Nest doorbell also. What a mistake! The doorbell stopped working after six months, and I was told I had to go through Google Nest, which I was told they could not connect me to them. I was told the doorbell could be replaced for over $300. I had to contact the Attorney General, and I received my installment fee back, but it's a struggle each day to get the doorbell to work. It's always, "Retry" or "Video is not available." WHAT A PAIN! I miss RIng, which is a fraction of the cost, and no contract. Thumbs down to ADT!

SIXTY MONTHS! Who the heck is going to live in the same place for sixty months?! Only those who are older and settled down or those settling down. And when you kove to somewher with free security you have to pay your remining contract which is still thousands of dollars JUST for a security panel. What a joke. Just buy your own camera system and get something else without a horrible contract.

I signed the contract with ADT on November 29 with the intent to purchase a good service, a piece of mind of security for my family, not this: the tech threw the pad on my kitchen counter top and left it there. Never use it since, an agent from ADT called me yesterday and told me the service is there and use it?
ADT schedule a tech to come out and secure the display, twice I have to sit around and wait, no show no call. If the tech can not make the appointment, at least to have the courtesy to call me and let me know, so I don't have to waste my time. I am a working man, don't have time to sit around and wait.
I email ADT to cancel the contract, the reason because ADT didn't full fill the contract, not provide me the service, the security that I should have, and they charged me $99 deposit, $51.47 the first month for this so call "service".
ADT agent told me I have to pay penalty to cancel the contract?
Pay money monthly for nothing?
Is this the kind of contract I should have?

I signed up for ADT five months ago and then sold my house. Because of a five-year contract, which was never explained to me by the sales agent, the company is now stating I owe them $2,500 in order to close the service...in a house I no longer live in. They stated the equipment charge is $700, which I could understand paying for, but what is the remaining balance for? They charge you an absurd amount without anything to show for it. When speaking to customer service for over an hour, and learning they WILL NOT transfer you to a manager OR help out in any way, the only option I had was to change to a different service. It was never explained to me within that hour WHY I was being charged the $2,500. The agent only stated that it was for the 'monitoring' charge...but if there is no service, who is monitoring? Basically, the charge is a gigantic SCREW YOU to any customer foolish enough to sign up for ADT. Anyone, please, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ADT!

ADT is a total scam. They do NOT call after an alarm; they do NOT call the police after the alarm is going forever. AND, they have 2.5 hour hold times. I'm on day two of trying to cancel my service. Approx phone time: 2 hours. You get passed around and around and nothing happens. Total scam, I can't believe they aren't investigated AND SHUT THE F DOWN

Basically I was given no quote, I was pushed to give my back account numbers to "move forward" in the process. Unit does not work, they will not repair, they played games until their "time frame" was up to return but on-line states six months. I've registered a complaint and got no where. I've spent nearly two hours on the phone one time and the other times pushed around with reps that barely speak English just to push me to another department. I was lied to all along. Now I have a unit that is worthless. We have no police department in my area so the system is only good for myself. ADT is taking two withdrawals out of my checking each month at nearly $100 when I was quoted $45.99.
When does this end? Oh wait when I get an attorney! And I have to change my checking account to stop them from stealing from me. DO NOT USE ADT. I have had their services in the past and was pleased. NOT ANYMORE. Oh and the unit is broken as well. I was told part of my package is a three year warranty. They charged me to come out and then didn't fix anything. Great warranty?

I've been with ADT for a year. I'm having problems with the system. I paid a tech to come install and teach me how to use the system last year. That tech failed to tell me that there were batteries that needed to be changed and how to do that. But, Mary was so kind as to inform me I should have read my contract for that information. I've spent the last 3 days on the phone with you trying to solve this issue. I've been told every time I ask to speak to a supervisor that they are unavailable. I don't trust my business with you at all, and I'm not spending my money on you ever again. And I really suggest if anyone in business is looking for a security system that you not use ADT. The tech left silicone all over the top of the battery for the door sensor so I couldn't find the little button to get it open. There was silicone, leaked all into the inside of the battery itself. Your customer service representatives are rude and unhelpful except for Valerie. She was really cool. And God forbid you need to speak with a competent supervisor… you'll wait three days for zero results.

Don't fall for their false sales pitch and false advertisement. I moved to Chicago and got the service for my apt. Their hub doesn't work and they told me to upgrade my wifi, which I did, I got the fastest Wifi by AT&T and on top of that I got a Wifi Extender as well. Called their tech support 5 times and they couldn't help. I called to cancel and their options are nothing but REDICULUS. If you have extra money in your pocket and want to waste, sure, go with them! If you have value for your money be careful with their false advertisement.

ADT is the most dihonest company I have ever deal with.
I requested service cancelation, on first call called they said is a around a $330 fee for early canceling, so I said good, a week later the bill was $115.20 for early canceling.
Today the bill is $2,586 not event they can explain why this amount and keep making things up to justified this amount. So I decided to restore the service because I dont have that amount of money and its easier to pay monthly enventho I wont use the service and I dont want my this on my credit record.

Their dominant "fortress mentality" also makes it impossible to reach a live decision maker to cancel my membership and ask them to come and collect their hardware. It is a most frustrating experience, leaving the impression they are desperately hanging on to dissatisfied clients, possibly due to financial troubles. STAY AWAY!

These people lie about everything to get you to sign and after you see the problems. They equipment doesn't work half the time, not picking up activities. You get on the phone with them and they're ALL NASTY. Because they know you are stuck in 3 yr contract they BS U. ADT is harassing me about a bill on a house that I no longer own. I NEVER had ADT service. They cannot produce any evidence that I did and they have collections companies chasing me.
