Be aware of Adt they wanted to have me upgrade my system with 600.00 payment plus my monthly payment then they lied to me about various programs and I don't see how they stay in business they are terrible terrible
ADT have left me in a bad place, I have no outdoors security camera with floodlight never installed. The Loyalty Department never mentioned that I would have to pay for electrician to come to install the google security camera the young lady mentioned that the installation would be no charge since they're ADT security camera was not recording after midnight. As of today still no security camera installed a photo of the camera sitting on my dinner table by the ADT tech cause he was waiting on the electrician that the loyalty department had punish that would be taken care of and I would have a zero balance due when they have completed the installation... No Security camera installed yet, just sitting on my table. Pissed Off!
I request for service over the phone and got a quote. When the tech came out to install I decided to add equipment but it cost more that I wanted to pay for a 24 month contract. He told me to call and ask for extended contract. I did the next day. I was sent a revised statement for 60 month contract and reduced fees for the equipment that were installed. I called back to the office 2 days later to make sure the adjustment was made. No one has no clue to what I was talking about. I emailed the document to a Customer Relations rep who investigated. She said they can't make change to my original agreement. I'm still in my 3 days grace period and they don't want to honor it. Offering me 2 months of non pay. NO. The next reason they said my credit was not approved, then said the flexible plan did not allow changes. LIES. They take more than the 3 days to investigate and trying to hold me hostage to a contract. I requested a change because the $ was more than I was expecting to pay in the 24 mo.
ADT takes money from elderly dementia patient on an account canceled 23 years ago without repayment.
I can't wait to stop using this sad little company. We cannot get anything done with them. The only reason anybody would be on hold for more than four hours is because your company truly sucks.
Horrible customer service
I've been a customer for a number of years had the alarm go off at 3 o'clock in the morning it took more than 2 minutes for someone to call
I needed to suspend my account due to an issue with our phone line and they left me on the phone over an hour That is after being transferred twice. There is no option on the website to cancel your account.
This company rips off people for money i called them 2 months ago to cancel my account my account balance was $0.00 they sent to collections that I had a pay due balance of $580 they are scammers never again will I do business with ADT I will never recommend them to no one
ADT is a scam and ripoff. Their customer service people are trained to give customers the run-a-round and avoid telling clients about hidden charges and fees. Your bill will increase unless you keep calling for promotions which only knock off a few dollars. ANY alternative is better than ADT!
We have had this system almost three years. For the last 8 months it is constantly malfunctioning. Doorbell camera and front camera constantly need to be reset I mean daily. We reboot the system itys up a coiple of hours then down again. Customer service wait times are over an hour. Then they want to charge you to come out and fix the problems rip off dont use them!
You can't get anyone to service any problem. It took almost 4 months to cancel service. Run away from ADT.
Do not fall for this trap of getting ADT Home Security. They have the worst customer service and you are locked into a service contract for 5 years without a way out! You will spend hours on the phone being transferred from person to person repeating yourself. Only to get someone who will then try and extort you by telling you they need your credit card number to pay for services that you are covered for in your service agreement! I had a sensor defect and the entire system stopped working, are you kidding, 1 window sensor failed in less than 30 days into my service agreement and the entire system fails to work?! I can't say it enough GO ELSEWHERE! You will regret being forced to stay with this company for 5 freaking years because you only have a 3-day cancellation period! I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB.
First of all l had ADT for 27 years. Their response to an alarm is excellent. However, their customer service is horrible. I gave them 2 stars because of their response time. And there is no star for customer service. I held on phone for 42 minutes and had to hang up because l got tired of waiting. Then l called back and asked for installation and someone picked up right away! I asked why and he said we are not as busy as the other departments! Then he said l can help you. So l gave him the information. He said hold on and Never came back! What? I finally contacted them on another day and the young lady offered me an upgrade for reduced costs and l Refused that and said Please just cancel this service. Why? Because after 27 years and paying on time they still wanted to charge me $105.00 for the first 1/2 hour for Service and $25.00 for every 15 mins after that. So, no. I'd rather cancel, ma'am. Please read reviews for any type of contractual service they definitely are helpful.
You have to wait 2.5 hours to speak with representative and if you got transferred to the right department, and call disconnected, then you need to dial back again from start and another 2.5 hours of WAITING, total FIVE (5.0) HOURS AND GOOD LUCK. SO POOR SERVICE. I REGRET JOINING THEM. Not sure if I could have the HELP CUSTOMER SHOULD DESERVED!

The customer service is awful. I was on the phone for an hour, and they could not help me. They transferred me a few times, and nothing. This is ridiculous. The wait time is too long, and they don't know how to assist you when you do get through. The Business is awful. They make several mistakes with fees and services. It's all about the money. They take their money every month and don't care about your services. It is a hot mess! I have never in my life experienced this type of service.
On September 6,2022 a ADT rep came out to put in alarm. While here at house alarm guy gets on phone with supervisor then comes upstairs working and a incident happened that caused me injury, so I told ADT guy to go downstairs and do not be on the same level with me! I have called ADT to do incident report, but they haven't responded back yet! I am looking for another alarm company!
I have used ADT for almost 20 years, and frankly they gave pretty good service, but don't obviously respect long term customers. I upgraded my cameras almost 2 years ago and paid for it up front, what they didn't tell me was this extended service contract for 3 years, when I sold my business the new buyer was not sure about using ADT, so after 20 years they billed me $1700 and were quite rude, the sales guy never told me had contract emailed to my phone pionted to spot to sign order which I did. But on the printed version it shows I agreed, did not show on the phone only signature line. The rude people on the phone told me I signed the contract too bad.
Alarm goes off during the middle of the night. Night after night. ADT doesn't send help for weeks. They tell us to do x and y with the system and it ends up calling the police to our house on a panic alarm. The tech comes and spends hours. Then the tech claims he fixed it. It starts going off again. Tech here again. Again claims it's fixed. It starts going off again at night. Another tech comes and claims he's now fixed it. Goes off again that very night. I have now notified ADT to take their crap out of my house and refund my money. DO NOT USE ADT
Their cameras do NOT work. I pay for 24/7 monitoring and recording and I'm lucky if the system records 10% of the activity. They're ineffective if they don't record someone knocking over your mailbox. The settings are all correct and the cameras have already been replaced once. DO NOT BUY. I called 2 months ago to set up a service call and nobody showed up and nobody called. The phone representatives will try to keep you on the phone and not let you cancel without a ridiculous penalty. Trying to escalate it for review is difficult at best.
ADT are modern days theives with the business practices of a predatory lender. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY... RUN AWAY
Faulty equipment, lies upon lies from the start of how much it would cost me, then I was told I was getting new stuff when it's was all used stuff that shocker all broke. Most is still not fixed a year and a half later. 3k for some crap. Run from this crappy company who only wants to steal your money and that's it.
Answer: Difficult to reach them and even more difficult to reach someone who can assist accurately. A lot of billing hassles.
Answer: No $60 call out service charge anytime there are any issues including dying batteries.
