Had a faulty install to begin with Tech's came out installed 2 cameras charge 1100.00 dollars.l have other properties with SSA. Far superior service. Stay away from ADT
I can't wait to stop using this sad little company. We cannot get anything done with them. The only reason anybody would be on hold for more than four hours is because your company truly sucks.
Do not get it if you want good customer service, holding on phone forever and later transfer to other department and wait for another 40 mins then got cut off.
You can never cancel with ADT! Even if you die, they will go after your family for their monthly monitoring fees. No joke! Do yourself a favor. Use anybody else!
They charge you for them to come out even if it's on there end. Selfish greedy company that finds ways to get free money and the service the hole alarm system is junk.

Their procedures are complex, convoluted and inefficient. To boot it took me repeated attempts to access my account since they couldn't identify my password. What kind of "security" company is this? How can we trust them the safety of our home and assets? Their dominant "fortress mentality" also makes it impossible to reach a live decision maker to cancel my membership and ask them to come and collect their hardware. It is a most frustrating experience, leaving the impression they are desperately hanging on to dissatisfied clients, possibly due to financial troubles. STAY AWAY!
These people lie about everything to get you to sign and after you see the problems. They equipment doesn't work half the time, not picking up activities. You get on the phone with them and they're ALL NASTY. Because they know you are stuck in 3 yr contract they BS U. Then they do crap to mess with u,their solution is PAY MORE MONEY to upgrade your system and data. I HATE THIS COMPANY. PLEASE SOMEONE START A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. WE WILL JOIN!

ADT is harassing me about a bill on a house that I no longer own. I NEVER had ADT service. They cannot produce any evidence that I did and they have collections companies chasing me.
I cannot talk to anyone at ADT that can help.
Go to a local company that actually cares about customer service!
Worst company I have ever worked with from their equipment to their customer service. It has been nothing but a giant head ache the entire time we've been customers.
If I can rate below 0 for ADT, I'll rate -5. This company didn't get investigated about its sales practice, it's also an issue of lack of governance and oversight on this type of service. ADT's sales "persuaded" me purchased more than $6k equipment, even at the time I've said I don't need that those, w/o disclosing I have to pay full amount of service charge for 5 years in addition to full amount for equipment when I terminate service (because of work, I have to move). It's not only not worth it, it is a trap. I write this review so general public research for security products can see it and be very careful, ask right question, don't trust sales, read contracts yourself before you sign it. We naively thought as consumer in this era, we are generally protected, but we are not. ADT definitely exploit customer's naivety, in a big deal. Such a company, their practice, I don't even think they will last long in this era with the spread of internet and customer review. But we paid our price and will be careful when sign up on any service. No one can be trusted.
ADT is the most dihonest company I have ever deal with.
I requested service cancelation, on first call called they said is a around a $330 fee for early canceling, so I said good, a week later the bill was $115.20 for early canceling.
Today the bill is $2,586 not event they can explain why this amount and keep making things up to justified this amount. So I decided to restore the service because I dont have that amount of money and its easier to pay monthly enventho I wont use the service and I dont want my this on my credit record.
ADT another dumb technology company. Not reputable at all had our smoke alarm go off 15 minutes later they call. Enough to burn the house down. Had problems with door locks, a week later they co. E out, still not working right. Very u professional stuff will not deal with problems a d pass the uck to a other that your on hold for 50 plus minutes or hang up. This hand does t know what the other ha d does. Staff has a arritude, and double charges you for when a credit is to be applied twice. They are not what they use to. E. I the 80s they were great, today they stink. I would t recommend the. To a yo e. SVe trouble a d look otherwise. You will be glad you did. Very unsatified. I lost 20k $ with inventory because ADT thermal heat sensor did not go on while thieves were inside my store. A month ago, They pushed me so much to buy higher service with 3 year contract & I did. I regret that decision deeply. When I needed their service to work, they failed. ADT technician came today and told me ADT did poor job and put delay on front door sensor. That delay gave thieves ample time to break showcases, drawers, cabinet and steal my merchandise. I should be reimburse for my loss.

I am a top tier premium package 3 year contract customer. Paying over $3,000 for full contract service with this company. Had to purchase my own Ring Cameras... as they only have ADT doorbell camera. The 1 device they place their name on (the doorbell camera) suddenly stops working. Call for help & they want to charge $60 for a repair person to come out. Of course I ask for a Supervisor to waive this fee. Supervisor Shontel calls back & instead of compassion she immediately berates me on my "tone" due to my frustration. Shontel ACTUALLY said the words "I don't even know what this is about, i am just now looking at it"
Shontel, then how about you take 30 seconds and REVEIW the account prior to calling and making your customers repeat ALL the information that is in front of you.
The cost is too high & is felt even more when you have uncaring supervisors.
STAY AWAY from ADT.
When I decided to use ADT security services I thought I was getting a good company. I sure was fooled right from the very beginning. The 1st service technician showed up only got part way into the service and told me he had to leave for a bigger job. That made me feel like I was not good enough. They sent another technician who completed the job. Problem is shortly after she left our home several monitors fell off windows and door. I called to ask for help since we where a new customer! Well the answering service said we would have to pay them to send out a new technician. I told them we're a new customer and they said it doesn't matter. So I tried to do my best with double sided tape. When my contract time was about over I called the complained to complain. A service manager or PR person was sent out to my house. I showed them there sloppy work and what I had been told. They said I received poor service and treatment and wanted to offer big discounts. Oh that was after their prices more then doubled during my contract time. Very, very poorly run and managed company!
Basically I was given no quote, I was pushed to give my back account numbers to "move forward" in the process. Unit does not work, they will not repair, they played games until their "time frame" was up to return but on-line states six months. I've registered a complaint and got no where. I've spent nearly two hours on the phone one time and the other times pushed around with reps that barely speak English just to push me to another department. I was lied to all along. Now I have a unit that is worthless. We have no police department in my area so the system is only good for myself. ADT is taking two withdrawals out of my checking each month at nearly $100 when I was quoted $45.99.
When does this end? Oh wait when I get an attorney! And I have to change my checking account to stop them from stealing from me. DO NOT USE ADT. I have had their services in the past and was pleased. NOT ANYMORE. Oh and the unit is broken as well. I was told part of my package is a three year warranty. They charged me to come out and then didn't fix anything. Great warranty?
I have been on the telephone with ADT so much I should be on their payroll. There are some good ethical employees and OMG there are some down right crooks. One of the CSR tried to get me to pay $50.00 over my bill. After asking her how she came up with that figure multiple times and informing her she was being recorded she placed me on hold and left me holding. I eventually hung up and called back several times asking the same question, no one else came up with that figure. That girl was apparently trying to get money by swindling customers as her side hustle. Someone has been entering my home stealing and destroying items in my home; guess what? ADT never catches nothing. The window used for entry has a camera right in front of it, but it never catches them. According to technical support my cameras cannot operate with a secure password and cannot be changed without calling a technician out each time to get the cameras back online. This is antiquated technology since it is recommended that passwords be changed regularly and use a combination of letters, numbers and special characters. A technician was at my home to get the cameras online and working for me on Tuesday, February 28,2023, the last recording was on Thursday, March 2,2023. Well, 2 of 5 cameras is not recording. The two that are not working are on side where the breaking are occurring… I hate to leave this review, but wish I had known before signing up with them. One more thing, I was told a three year contract but my contract says 5 years. This was done during Covid, so I could read it and didn't sign it….
Literally have been trying to cancel their service for 6 months. My contract ended and they are still charging me for a service that I have not used in almost 2 years. Just terrible!
As a tech business we require an alarm system to function. After a power outage the system went down. We were notified by ADT on a Saturday night. We setup for a technician to come out on the Monday during business hours. At 5:15pm Monday night as we closed for the day I called and spoke to someone in tech support at ADT. The lady said that she couldn't understand why the technician didn't show up, but she took my email address and advised that she woulf update me as soon as she had more. It is now Wednesday and we are calling back again. This time they are telling us that they can't get anyone out until next Monday. Our facility will be without an alarm for over a week at that point. Wow. Talk about a vunerability. We have 3 locations with them and have been a good paying faithful customer. As we add our 4th location, guess what. I'm shopping for alarm companies. Sorry Telus and ADT - you did this to yourself.
I've contacted them numerous times to have my camera's set back up after months of being offline.
Requested they update my contact number (Haven't done it yet).
Asked for assistance, only to be told only option is virtual having me do all the leg to service it myself.
Can't remove the service because I've got 2 months out of several years of my contract left.
Only thing this company has been consistent in is requesting that I renew my contract that I would have never signed up for knowing that my cameras only capture half a month for $70 a month and to find they will end up giving up on servicing my camera's.
Now only option is my virtual assistant call that I'm currently trying to get through to, because they have my wife's number and specifically requested they call my phone. Now my 2 day in advance "virtual" appointment isn't going to happen because they won't update the info for me.
What a complete waste of money and time. Sure can't wait for the 2 months to go by so I can forgive and forget ADT for good. Thanks for nothing guys.
Answer: Difficult to reach them and even more difficult to reach someone who can assist accurately. A lot of billing hassles.
