One month, and hours of calling and getting hung up on, I was told (by Ms. Maxwell, also helpful) to call and ask for the Account management Team to get results. I called and was connected to Kiana who was the kindest most helpful person ever. She was able to resolve a problem I had with two cameras that stopped working and no longer had any support. She took the time to make sure all my concerns were answered and taken care of. Than you Kiana for being the customer service specialist we all wish to talk to. Brian
We have been with ADT for over 34 years. We are a retired couple on a fixed income. I recently installed an alarm system to try and save some money. I called to cancel, and they say I am under contract until June of next year and that we owe close to $300. Last time was talked to ADT we thought we were month to month contract. I talked to several people in billing, and none of them said they could do anything to forgive the charge. In the last 34 years, we've paid ADT over $20,000. I am amazed at how heartless this company is. I would strongly recommend using a different company when it comes to security.
Horrible customer service. I called with a complaint about my bill and the agent kept putting me on hold. I timed them, and each hold time was at least 5 min. Very rude individuals! The first call I got a dial tone after waiting 10 min for him to return. I keep asking for someone in charge, but all I get is put on hold. I need an issue resolved. Since no one is in charge, what do I do?

I've been a customer for more than 15 years. Never late on a payment. Recently one of their wires shorted out. I had a Tech come out and fix it. After 20 minutes of his time and I'm sure less than a dollar worth of wiring, I was charged $169. Ridiculous! I guess they feel like they got you by the shorts so too bad for you.

Don't even think of using this business because if you try to cancel with them they will make your life hell. What company makes it so hard for a customer to cancel? I have never seen such difficult people. Why would I want to do business with this kind of mentality?. They tried to steal my daughters identity and credit card information as well so they are just bad on many levels. Do your homework before you call them. They have a million bad reviews and I can see why.

I will admit that I did not read the entire 10 page small print contract before I signed. But you would think a sales rep would mention a 3 YEAR contract agreement when speaking to them. Not once was it mentioned that the terms contained the 3 year term. I thought it was 36 months for financing the equipment that was being installed if I so chose. What a dishonest, unethical company. I could even get my cancellation charge of $1500 waived if the people who bought our home would continue with ADT, but I will do everything I can to steer them to ANY other security company! I would rather pay the money, than see another family screwed!

I used ADT for few years and their customer service is really bad. When I called a month ago to cancel my service, they offered me an upgrade to keep me as a customer. Then I got the contract to sign and the price per month was different than what was quoted. When I refused to sign the new contract and requested to cancel my services they didn't cancel my services and still charged my credit card on file that I will dispute. I would not recommend this company at all. The customer service is really bad. They put me on hold for over an hour.

Probably the worst customer service in all my 40 years of dealing with consumer products. The products received are low-par and a waste of money. Tried to return and that was an equal nightmare. This all being said, imagine the fail of securing my home and family. Stay away far away

I obtained an alarm with 2 cameras. Someone is constantly coming to my property. I called. Was told I would receive a call from supervisor. Never did. I called another day because the cameras didn't detect anything, as it is not relatable. Called again, was told they could service my camera for a fee, but was obligated to pay the contract. Never again! They were so comfortable telling me what I was going to do and my obligations; No real options from them. Save your money and time. Do not contract with them.

Can't be a worse company. They continuously ripped us off and lied to us, I lost track how many times and server headache. Got to point where I would try and record phone conversations. They even deleted a doc using on their end because they messed up. I never leave bad reviews. Stay away. I promise nothing is worse then he'll I went through.

Terrible service! Reps transfer/dump calls when they don't have an answer or they simply drop off the call. I had set and confirmed an appointment to replace our smoke alarms for the sale of our home. Nobody showed on the date of install and when I called I was continuously transferred and/or dropped off. Horrible hiring, training and accountability issues. DO NOT USE ADT!

I have had the worst experience with ADT. The sales rep lied to me about the services provided in the contract. I can't cancel it without a $700 termination fee even though the services were not provided. The technician did not show up for 3 appointments. When he finally did show up he said the sales rep told you incorrect information and we do not support the services needed. In order to try and resolve this I was online and on the phone for over 4 hours with no resolution. Then I found out that someone in their office signed the contract and misspelled my name. So illegal practice as well. If you want a horrible experience and absolutely terrible support services then ADT might be for you. I would recommend avoiding them at all costs.

Worst company. Doorbell hasn't worked properly since I started the contract. I can't cancel because it's a 3 year contract. I spent countless hours on the phone with them to fix the problem and it was never fixed. Stay away from them if you don't want to waste your time and money.

Do yourself a favor and don't utilize ADT for your security system. My experience has been awful. Calling ADT for anything other than "Sales", is impossible. The "Sales" division is readily available. Any other department is impossible to reach. Often times, their phone system will disconnect when you're being transferred and their web-site doesn't function properly. Stay away!

So after years of service trying to cancel service with ADT. Service not working. Awaited someone to arrive after work was done in house and no show and then when called was told an amount for charge and was high. Have tried now call to cancel. Attempted twice and wait time greater than 40 minutes. Have an older system even and cost very high. Can get better service from Ring or personal cameras

I had a 4 to 5 month on going problem trying to get some one to fix the fire alarm part of my my equipment. They have set up two different appointments for me and never show. I have spent at least 10 hours on the phone talking to numerous people over the 4 months and still don't have a working system. I finally cancelled then they threaten me about my contract. They are the worse. I can't wait to see them in court.

The customer service is awful. I was on the phone for an hour, and they could not help me. They transferred me a few times, and nothing. This is ridiculous. The wait time is too long, and they don't know how to assist you when you do get through. The Business is awful. They make several mistakes with fees and services. It's all about the money. They take their money every month and don't care about your services. It is a hot mess! I have never in my life experienced this type of service.

Customer service guy was nice. When I had system installed originally the guy did not finish the job. Before he left that day he demanded payment. Never returned to finish. Now I have error codes that guy cannot fix on phone. I asked to just have a human come fix and was told 135.00 for 30 minutes. I haven't called or asked anything for 16 years. Now this. We have been with ADT for almost 2 years, three months shy of our contract being up we did a relocation and it has been a disaster a complete nightmare. I've been on the phone with 15 different people over six hours on hold and on the phone with people and nobody knows how to do their job they ended up disconnecting both homes charging me $360, and now I have to start all over again with a service tech person coming out again, they were just out here two weeks ago to do my new home to install everything which they didn't have to install anything they just need to change codes from the past owners! Now to reactivate my account, they have to come back out some more time off work, and more time that I'm wasting on them! Definitely would seek other companies to do your service

I really liked ADT. But when it came time to cancel after years of service, they simply won't let me. They insist it has to be a phone call, but I'm seldom able to get a person and when I do they just put me on hold. You will be stuck paying for them indefinitely. The only way to avoid this is not to allow them in your home in the first place.

Some of the worst customer service and sales people I have encountered. Getting help is next to impossible. Called about an issue and to upgrade my service, but could not get anyone to help me and was passed back and forth between departments with zero communication between each department. If customer service and a quality product is important to you I suggest that you save your time and money and look elsewhere for home security.

So adt claims to be the top in home security. But since having this system I have had nothing but problems. This is the worst system ever. It only works half the time then I had the cams hard wired to my house and all of a sudden one cam disappeared and the others would not work. After calling customer support and they could not fix it I was charged 60$ foe a tech to come fix it and still they hardly work. My house has been broken into and never did I get a call. This is the worst ever mi d you I paid 800 for the cam. Then when installed I was charge 2500 not including the cams. Bull$#*! $#*! service

Where to start... after 17 years of service under multiple properties from ADT, I can firmly attest to the continual degradation of their services. Waiting hours on hold and being passed from one technician to the next without resolution is common practice. Heaven forbid you have a technical or billing inquiry. Finally ending my service contract period, I still receive bills due to ADT representative failing to annotate ending services. DO NOT, let me repeat, DO NOT use their services. Just read the below reviews for overwhelming proof of their unethical practices.

Our original system that was already installed when we bought our house is not getting signals, our alarm has been down for a week, I have made over 30 calls, on hold sometimes up to 40 minutes and they always want you to unplug and plug back in, never works, last night as has been for the last week, when I set my alarm, it started making strange beeping noises same as the entire last week, I was told a "tower" is down, so they can't get my signals. No idea when this will be "fixed".
Do not use ADT, ever since they were bought by Google they have become worthless.

The “field” sales person who sold us the outdoor service started calling us several times a day very aggressively trying to sell us even more, wouldn’t take no for an answer.

It began when I was told I would not be put in a contract, but I have had to deal with this madness from ADT for 3 years. The cameras will catch a car coming past it would even catch trees moving but it will not catch a person taking something out of your yard. I have had over 9 technicians to come out to fix problems with their system. No matter how many complaints you give they will never let you out of the contract they will only try to offer you more things. Seriously this is no joke I would rather stay in a high crime area with no alarm system than to continue to deal with ADT.

ADT is a rip off. When I moved I was told I had to leave my equipment at the old house. Apparently they cannot hook that same equipment up at your new place. Then they charged me over $600 to pay off the equipment they made me leave there. There HAS TO BE a better way ADT. I've been a loyal customer since 2013. Come on man

They care less about helping their customers. The representative has no patience to help the customer. I am now looking for another company for security.
