Offers great quality clothing for affordable prices. Website is easy to navigate. Online deals are offered routinely. Shipping is fast and hassle free. Clothing itself is of excellent quality and stylish. Review would be five stars however I received some jeans that smell like sulfur. Washing and drying them does nothing but make your other clothes smell like sulfur. Other than that no complaints!
I had a terrible experience buying Aeropostale loungeware from Ross. One leg is shorter than the other. It's unfortunate that companies that used to be big would manufacture and sell a garment with such a major flaw, pass quality control, and be offered to customers.
Aeropostale is known for its trendy clothing, great prices, and popularity among the younger generation. Today I will be doing a review on this popular chain store, & I will be covering everything from prices, shipping, and quality!
Prices: As far as prices go, Aeropostale can be inexpensive to moderately priced. You can get a t-shirt from Aeropostale for $10-$15, while shoes can range anywhere from $28-$50 (roughly)
Shipping: Buying 1 t-shirt can add up to $7 in shipping. This may not be too bad, but I still feel it is a little steep considering other businesses shipping rates. However, Aeropostale does have deals that can make free shipping possible; such as spending $100 to get free shipping.
Quality: The quality of Aeropostale's clothing is usually just about average to above average. I have jackets that I purchased at Aeropostale from over 4 years ago that are still in great condition, and I still wear them to this day. However, I have noticed that the t-shirts and cami's are often made from very thin material. The quality ranges from the iteams.
My own personal experience: Aeropostale has always been one of my favorite places to shop, but I have started to fall away from them as I am not a fan of the materials made with their cami's and t-shirts. I would probably repurchase from there, though I have noticed an increase in there prices as they have new clothing lines coming out. I am more than likely going to purchase from shops with lower prices and lower shipping fees.
Terrible customer service. I can't speak for the clothes because not only will I not receive my order due to a shipping issue, I will also not receive a refund.

Whatever you do, never buy anything from this company. Their return policy is a nightmare. I originally bought 7 items from this company and decided to return 3 of the items. Finding their return portal was almost impossible. You have to go digging in their website to find the link. A couple days later, I decided that I actually didn't want 2 more items from my order so I wanted to add them to the initial return request They wanted to charge me an additional $8 for the second return (for a total of $16). Considering I haven't sent the first return, I decided to call to see if they can either cancel the return request so I can make a new one or add those two items to my original request. And this is where $#*! hit the fan. I had to contact them on FOUR different occasions and in the end, I'm just paying the $16 and never using this site or company ever again. The first time I called, I was in the middle of explaining what the issue was and the phone just hung up. No callback nothing. Next I sent an email and they told me to "log out of my account and clear my cookies"!? Called again and they said they'll email me a free return label and I should receive it in 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS. Never got it. The fourth time I officially lost it. The rep was not listening at all. I told him I had already initiated a request and want to cancel it because the last rep said he was going to email me a return label and I never got it. After asking me which items I wanted to request, he proceeded to tell me that "a return request has already been initiated". Yes, that's literally what I said and the reason for this call is because I don't want to pay an additional $16 for returns that haven't been sent yet. Cue more non-listening and me repeating back the initial 5 minutes of this conversation and he sent me a return label that costs $8. At this point, I don't have the energy to call again but this experience has been a total disaster. No wonder this place is going out of business.
Do yourself a favor and avoid doing business with this company at all costs, they do not honor their promotions. I placed an order on 12/20/14 with GUARANTEED DELIVERY by 12/24 or FREE with qualifying products. Four of the five items I purchased fell under the qualified items. On 12/24, I contacted Aeropostale's customer service to see where my order was because if it wasn't going to be delivered, I wanted to cancel the order. The customer service representative verified that I will be receiving my complete order that day (12/24). Well not only did I not receive my order that day, but Aeropostale did not refund my money. The company stated that I was disqualified from the promotion because I did not contact them between 12/26-12/28, they apparently rely on fine print and loopholes to screw their paying customers. I contacted this company not only on the day of question, 12/24, but on Monday 12/29. People have more things to do during the holidays than to constantly micromanage that a company is doing their job correctly. Shame on Aerpostale! Just too many competitors for them to behave this way and for customers to take a chance on them. Very unethical company!
3 orders and all problem.
1st. Order was delivered to neighbor and they wont ask UPS to pick them up and deliver to me. They resend new order. My neighbor handed the packages to me so I returned the new one back to them.
2nd order: missing 3 tops from order but received 3 not ordered. Returned the 3 wrong ones back to them. They able to ship 2 out of the 3 missing items but wont refund for the OOS one.
3rd order: missing a necklace, again, they said no refund because system said order was shipped and it's company policy.
---What was told was that they reship the 1 order as an accomodation so they will not refund or ship out any missing items anymore for future orders. Note that this the UPS and the packer in the warehouse faults. Not me, they buyer. I also return anything that was extra and not ordered back to them, they promised refund but now said company policy, no refund even if it's their fault. Proven, returned with proof of tracking, still no refund. I would say a good way to steal money from people here.
I placed 2 orders on the same day, and I had recieved a 150 dollar gift card for my birthday and decided to put it towards gifts for christmas and something nice for me. I made sure to do my math when I placed the 2 seperate orders making sure it didn't pass the 150 dollar mark. My order total was about 147 dollars, I did the math multiple times. Two weeks pass and I only get the small order, the one I placed LAST. I wait another week for my big order, nothing. I contact customer service and they tell me the amount on my card was 133.93, that was my big order cost with shipping and tax, which would cover it and I would have nothing. The lady who had helped me didn't seem to be fluent in English, like it was her second language her grammar was a bit off, her service confused me and made me feel stupid about my order because I had done the math and this shouldn't be a problem, the only reason I didn't rate it one star is because I got my second package. NEVER buy from online, buy in store because I had to cancel my order for the stupidest reason since "my card has insufficient funds" I had never used it before because I had gotten it either that day or the day before and I wanted to put it to good use for this christmas since I plan to start working in the near future so I won't have to deal with bullcrap from them and my "insufficient funds"
My first time ordering online and they charged my card 3 times for the same order! I will never ever order from them again.
I placed an order on Jan 5th with aeropostale. Later that day after placing my order I checked my email for a confirmation and didnt have one so the next day I called customer service to make sure there wasnt a problem. When I spoke with the rep she stated that I had entered my zip incorrectly so there wasnt an order created, but that the purchase had been charged to my card as a temp hold but assured me that it would be put back into my account in 3-5 buisness days. I asked could the order just be fixed bc i really wanted the stuff and was told no. Its now Jan 23rd I have called 6 times havent received my money back and have been talked to HORRIBLY by these reps. I ask to speak to a supervisor and they claim there isnt one for me to speak to and then proceed to tell me they will have to disconnect the call with me bc they arent allowed to look for a supervisor for more that 2 mins. I have spoke with supervisors been sent to different depts and emailed customer service as well with no luck. I have never had this problem or been treated this way. Its not about the money this is about the fact that I paid for something didnt get it and havent been reimbursed for my money. I don't even know who to try to contact now to get the money or file a complaint with.
Me and my friends went to a location in Aurora Ohio. We were looking at the earrings and earlier we had bought earrings from American eagle that are way more expensive when we checked out at American eagle they asked if we wanted a bag we said no because we could just put them in the purse instead of carrying around a bag. We then go into AéRopostale and look at their earrings seeing they are much cheaper we pull out the other earrings comparing them to theirs and decided to leave the store and return to American eagle to return the earrings we had purchased we then realized we had forgotten the wallet in AéRopostale. We returned the earrings and go back to AéRopostale to buy their earrings and get the wallet we then entire the store and the lady who was working told us to get out for "stealing" we had not stole anything they were staying we put earrings in the purse and walked out first of all they are American eagle earrings and we tried telling them that and showing proof but they did not even look at our receipt second of all if they saw us stealing wouldn't you have stopped us right then and there not let us walk out so then we had gotten yelled at to get out of the store and we were not able to get the wallet back.
Ordered 2 items. They were okay with tracking and updating my order (because of them pandemic, I was expecting them to be delayed and take longer to arrive). My problem is when they did arrive. I ordered 2 button-up shirts. They looked like a different fit from how they looked on the website so I was skeptical if they would fit me right. I opened 1 plastic bag and tried on a shirt - sure enough, it just didn't fit me right. Okay, no worries. But this is where my complaint comes: the package the shirts arrived in had no packing slip or return label. Before I ordered, I checked the Aeropastale website to make sure they were even taking returns. They are. I double checked the website today - they still are taking returns. So I checked their website on how to make a return. Low and behold they say just to attach the return label and ship it. Annoyed, I tried to log on to theie online chat to talk to one of their online agents about possibly getting a return label emailed. The website says agents are available 9am to 11pm EST. Here it is, 5:32pm on a Thursday, on EST and twice now the online chat "has no agents available" because, so it claims, I am out of their business window. Okaaaayy. Frustrated, I look up how to return the items with no return label and it says I can at my own expense. So, it's going to cost me the same amount that I bought the shirts, to ship them back to you - on my dime? That's not good business. No thanks, I think I'll take my business elsewhere. Fooled me once, Aeropastale - you're not fooling me twice.
Love the slim sizes, prices high for kids means but can always find a sale or coupon, ships fast too. Use them alot, love the graphics on tees too!
Black Friday items just got cancelled and I won't be refunded for 30 days. This is not right and I will be short Christmas gifts.

Online experience was normal compared to any other online stores. But beware and read their return policy before thinking that you can return products hassle-free. I thought I could order some jeans, and if they don't fit, then I can return them to the store. HOWEVER, The returning process was horrendous.
When I went to the store, the manager shared that they only accept in-store purchases, and online purchases must be returned by mail. When returning by mail, they subtract $7 from the return credit to cover for the shipping fees.
On my part, I forgot to pack another item that I intended to return, so I went to the store to ask about if I could at least return it for store credit. However, since I included the packing slip when I returned my other items, I did not have a physical receipt. I assumed from returning items at other stores, then maybe they could use my order number to look up the information. The associate had me call customer service to obtain transaction number, THEIR OWN STORE NUMBER, and date of purchase. Then hand all this information to them so they can start to process my return for STORE CREDIT. From other retail store experiences, they at least could find all the listed information from a confirmation or order number, since it was an online purchase. So I am feeling so confused why it takes so much work to return online times at the store.
With this experience, I am just bewildered by how much work it is to return online items and the inconsistency to help return items at the physical store. One retail associate has told me it was not possible to return online items to the store, and then another retail associate told me it was possible, but difficult without a packing slip.
I have no complaints shopping online on their store website. Unfortunately, the returning process has left an impression that makes me hesitant to buy anything from their store (online and in-store) since I have to put in so much effort to return their items.

Read returning policy before buying online. They have specific policies in regards to buying with credit card versus paypal. And I think they recently changed their policy of returning online items to their physical stores, but the process is a huge inconvenience...

I would like to stress to all aeropostale cuatomers, how horrible there customer service is. I place an order tuesday for the extended cyber monday sale, everything went smooth they charged my card gave me a confirmation number since i was over $50 they gave me free shipping, days later i receive an email saying they cancelled a scarf from my order. Fine they made a mistake by adding it to my cart when they were out of stock and charging my card even tough they say it was only an authorization but the funds were still taken away from me. What got me upset was that since they cancelled the scarf i went under 50 and they decided to charge me shipping. They werent curteous enough to still grant me free shipping so my total ended up being the same now that only without my scarf how convenient for them right. So i call customer service speak to the supervisor brittney and at this point i still want to make the sale with them give her i give her options to make things work her only answer was "no" "no" a straight out "no" not a im sorry mam for the trouble or i apologize for the inconvenience dam just a straight "no" how can u call that Customer Service... This is my first order and my last i will ever place with you guys i will make sure to share provide feedback on all the social media where u guys promote your clothes. This is just a scam!
