Leonid Afremov

Very disappointed. I chose a piece for its calmness and soft palette - away from the normal bright and chaotic colour. It came to me as a typical afremov replica - converted from the soft colours to the over the top brightness of reds and royal blue, rather that then soft hues of the picture.

Ordered the painting as a gift to my husband. First, I saw it on the site, and only then I decided that I would give him for his birthday. A very cute canvas where the father walks with his child in the rain. When my son saw it, he said that it's like him and his dad.

Recently I visited a friend and I really liked his painting by Afremov and I also wanted to buy a painting by this artist. And it so happened that I bought not one painting, but as many as 5! The painting "Couple under one umbrella" by Leonid Afremov was given to me by friends for my jubilee. This gift I liked the most, although I would not say that I was a fan of art, but the picture brought bright colors to my life. Now I want to buy a couple more paintings.

If you are a professional collector, Afremov's work might not interest you. They might seem boring. It is a typical description made by people who see only financial side of the thing. Recently I bought a painting by Leonid Afremov Musical Clowns. I was looking not just for decoration for my home – I needed a picture with meaning. Of course the artist has a lot of them in his collection, but for some reason I liked this one. When I look at it on the website, it may seem that it looks a little dull, maybe it really is, but believe me, this is only genre specificity, and believe me I really liked these colors. And of course, in the future I will buy several more of these plots, for example the following the Look of Music. I think it will look just as great!

When I first heard about the artist Leonid Afremov, I immediately decided to look at his paintings on the Internet and then I wondered why I hadn't heard anything about him before! It seemed to me that these paintings were greatly underestimated! They are really very high quality! I understood this even before I bought them.

The Netherlands has always been associated with green cities and meadows. It is a magnificent place to ride a bike. It is not a surprise that Afremov depicted bicycle in Amsterdam. I fell in love with this painting at first sight. I couldn't resist the temptation of purchasing it. Luckily, I have bought with a great discount. It is an amazing work of modern art. It could stand side by side with the best classic works of art.

It's a SCAM. The artists is dead. His sons are running the business. They say they are selling away Afremov's original paintings which he has made as copies for galleries. It's a big scam. Obviously, he's not crazy to draw multiple copies of the same painting, and you can't buy his original painting for the price they sell it. Once you order, someone from their studio paint a copy, which looks simply like a joke. I asked them to send me a photo of the painting before sending it. As soon as I saw it I asked for a refund, which they did. But, they never replied to my email. The copy didn't have the pallette knife strokes of Lenoid Afremov. It's just painted by a brush and put some dots over it to show it as a pallette knife painting. It's simply a joke. BE CAREFUL! I post the original painting and the photo they send of my order.

I really like Afremov's work. I even bought a painting by numbers once and tried to recreate it. It turned out well, but there is not the texture that the paintings acquire in the artist's studio, because the paintings are painted by a master. Therefore, I consider the purchase of a painting in the studio to be one of my best purchases.

Afremov is a unique artist in my understanding. Many contemporary impressionist paintings are inspired by him. I fell in love with the artist at school. I just adore his work. I recommend to everyone to buy at least one of his paintings.
