Leonid Afremov

I am a big fan of Afremov's art from years, I finally managed to place an order for some artwork in September 2020. I decided to order the caffe in the old city (set of 3), which had a special price offer at the time for an original of Leonids which specifically said signed by Leonid etc. Long story short when I received the painting it was signed by the studio in the back rather than the actual artist. I very kindly connected with the team and let them know that I have ordered an original and didn't pay for a studio version, they said they'll look into. Time passed nobody got back to me until I followed up again - at which point I was informed that yes, we will be sending you the correct item. A month or two passed... I reached out again mentioning that I have not received the original nor any update or communication. At which point no update or reply was given. Another 2-3 months passed, still no update. I reached out again and again very politely asked when I should expect the painting, is there any tracking at-least or anything? Only reply I got was that as they know it is shipped but they will check. Putting COVID situation as an excuse I was patient and calm but I was getting frustrated and the fact that I was getting no updates and I felt that customer relationship did not matter, made the matters worse. I had plans to actually purchase the higher priced originals to have in my art gallery at him but with this kind of back and forth decided not to. And such a shame as I respect and appreciate the work of the artist but TO DATE: JUNE 2021, I have not received the original signed by Leonid that I ordered nor any kind of communication on their part towards this mishap. I do however recieve daily promotional emails from them, so would be helpful if they are as active in customer relationship rather than just advertising and sending out promotional emails.
