Airtasker

I can't believe how stupid are people at Airtasker. When you publish a task you can't invite tradie to have a look at the job to provide more accurate offer. You must first accept the offer and only then you can communicate with the tradie. Whoever made that rule is an absolute moron.

Hello I just want to ask if anyone knows a phone number for Airtasker in the United States? Someone hacked into my cash app and used the money on Airtasker and I need a phone number so I can talk to someone and get my money back. Please someone help me with a number.

I had have a few jobs done by airtasker, but that was years ago. Recently I started a renovation. I can't believe how expensive they are now, especially when compared to local handymen I have also found that several tried to charge a lot more than it should and then get rude when you say no thanks. Had one recently that tried to tell me to plaster a small wall would costs over 1,000. All I could do was laugh, the wall was less than 3 meters long and 250 high. Not as interesting as a tiler telling me it would cost 1200 to tile the same wall or the man that tried to charge me 2900 to remove part of a wall that was 159 high and 125 wide. Seriously the prices and the way some of them act is just horrible. I have now moved to a different site and will not be going back

We were tasker in a airtasker. The tasker called as Majid threatened and harrashed us all the time. We got so much depressed and we are not able to work. He said we have copied his template when we research in internet for 4 hours. Majid has threatened and terrorized us. We are left with no any money as we got too depressed to work due to him. Majid has spreader a remours that we got a cheep machiene. When someone is trying to assign us he undercut the price.
He did not let is get any job assigned. He has stock and harassed us. He bring his toxicity in the aap. He is still working nicely and making money.
We worked for airtasker for 3 years but it's just toxic due to him now.
He also said he applied all the job in North which was too far for him, just to let us not get any job. He played a dirty game with us. He always check the aap and put us down.

Simple! Apparently it not enough to write 'simple' Airtasker is the mother of all scammers and thieves. Don't lose years off your life and money from your account to end up without what you needed

Lack of communication
No contact details so U can actually speak to a human
I would never use it again
The headache Im having to go through is never ending,
I'm having to go through ACCC to get my money back I don't think they get to ignore U and keep the $240...

We had a job accepted by an Airtasker to pick up a cupboard and 45 minutes before pickup, the guy cancelled. We have no way contacting Airtasker, we have spend over $150 which has already been taken from my account, i cannot even leave a review for the guy because the job didnt get done.

The only offer that I have been made is that if i cancel my job, my $150 goes into "Air Tasker Credits" - like I would EVER use this site again!

Airtasker is great when it works but when it doesnt you have ZERO CHANCE OF CONTACTING ANYONE at Airtasker.

I am a victim of crime after using a UK cleaner from Airtasker! We have had personal belongings and our identity taken! Beware!

Absolutely disgusting, rude and unprofessional, be very careful, a rip-off, aggressive and quite a worry!

Airtasker will take your money and provide no support whatsoever even if you get completely scammed or incur damages or real losses by any of their taskers.

Airtasker simply does not care less whether or not a task is done or not. They take absolutely no responsibility whatsoever for any tasks, work or repairs you have done.

So, if you use Airtasker and have any problems at all you are on your own and will suffer the consequences.

My Task
I had some cracked walls to repair and paint (it cost a couple thousand dollars). The guy came out and did the job and said he guaranteed it will not recrack or he'll come and redo it. Sure enough it all started cracking again within a couple of months and the paint is all lifting off (not done properly but no way of knowing at the time). So, I politely asked for him to please come and take a look and when he finally got back to me 2 weeks later he says nah they're other cracks, get someone else to do it I don't have time and just hung up.

Such a ridiculous lie and situation. So, I lodged a dispute with Airtasker with lots of photos to prove my very clear claim. Airtakser says you paid him and the task is closed, it's your problem now. All I have is his first name and a phone number which just goes to voicemail.

So, I have no way of taking this further and Airtasker refuses to do anything about it.

Such a scam!

Airtasker should be banned in Australia if they cannot make sure their users do not comply with consumer law.
