Very impressed w/ orderly arrangement of products for sale, e.g., music, books, movie, etc. Makes sense! Also, the choice of sellers is easy to understand & navigate--I contacted one book seller Solr by email to find out if the used book they were selling was highly dusty (allergies) & they emailed back w/ details & evident concern. Alibris is now my "go-to" source for great prices, selection & quality of sale. Thanks for doing a great job!
Very Difficult to change shipping address. Had to quit internet browser and log back in again. Shipping choices limited. I know from past purchase that independent sellers can take their sweet time shipping items and often do. Why does alibris appear to charge at 1st class parcel rates and deliver at slower and cheaper media mail rate? Delivery window excessively wide.
This was a book for which I had been looking for a while having had orders canceled before, so when it did not arrive, I was not thrilled. I was told to hang in there, which was right but not particularly helpful. It came; all's well...

The shipping address defaulted to a gift I sent one time. I updated my profile to show my own address as the default. It made no difference. I edited the shipping address in the order form to reflect my own addres. It reverted to the incorrect recipient again. While I was doing this, I also had to update the exp. Date on one of my credit cards. Even after doing this, I repeatedly got error messages telling me to update the card. I had to change credit cards. Through the whole process the order kept deleting the coupon I had applied. This was a ridiculously lengthy and frustrating experience.
I try to avoid ordering anything from Amazon and Alibris seemed like a good source for an out of print book.

First time using alibris. A seamless and fluid shopping experience! As long as shipping and arrival go off unhinged; alibris will have a new customer. Have been using thriftbooks for two years now so we will hasve to see how things go from here. However, thus far alibris is best in price and option. We just have to wait and see!

I ordered a rare kriya yoga book from Alibris. It took a couple of weeks to receive it, and despite the low quality of the book itself (from the publisher) it was packed nicely and got to me safely with no further damage to the old book.
It had access to rare titles that I could not find elsewhere.

You assured me that I'd receive my book within a certain amount of time (much sooner than other sources), which happened right on time, with the book in perfect condition. Given my complete satisfaction with this order I won't bother looking elsewhere in the future, as long as have what I am seeking. Thank you!

Contacting the company wasn't much help either as the email just basically told me I had to continue waiting for the book that I ordered. The condition of the book was accurate, though as it was in good condition.

Site is confusing, makes me feel like I need glasses.
I don't like having to sign in. I have acct and was told I could purchase as a guest so I checked that box and then I was told I MUST sign in.

I ordered 5 hardback books, but 3 that I received were softcover, those are more difficult for my older readers. One was from Dallas and 2 were from HPB stores. It is difficult to know which stores because the order store names do not always match the mailing label. Labels do not have numbers. My readers have accepted the books but I would hope that when I order Hardback, I receive hardback. A Hughes

It is a little cumbersome to check out details for each book and I wish there were more info on books' condition and seller once you see the item in your basket. But it's worth the effort to me to avoid supporting Amazon and Abe.

I was looking for a book that our instructor suggested and couldn't believe the great price( you know; that whole "if it's too good be true" thing. But I took a chance rationalizing that if I did get skunked I wouldn't be out much money.it came in good time and like new condition.

I could have had the same book, in roughly the same condition, at more than twice the price if I had shopped Amazon. The book I received was called "used", but you couldn't tell it from the appearance.

I. Ever received a purchase confirmation email. I was unable to talk to a person on the phone or leave a message. I never received a response back frrom the email i sent inquiring about my purchase. I did receive the book. It was in the condition I was expecting

Very confusing at check out, paypal was only going to charge $2 something for the book alone, no shipping included, then you say the full amount, and I do not know if I approved that or not, very messy process. I have no idea where you are shipping to as there was no place to add an address to, wanted it to go to: Cindy Sengstock 2226 Manoa Rd, Toledo, Ohio ******* but never saw the option to send it to her. Would appreciate an email letting me know where it is going, or I may delete you from my favorite places to do business with.

I had completed my order and apparently my password wasn't accepted. When I changed the password, the order was lost and when I went back and reentered the items I had chosen were not available at the same price (allotted to my earlier I assume) and the final order was more expensive

I am generally pleased with Alibris historically, but in this this case I was a little disappointed that the heavy and bulky hardcover photo book I had ordered was not packaged adequately in a box with padding, and as a result arrived bumped at the edges and corners.
